This Holiday inn will make you feel like you are sleeping in a castle. The older unique look of this hotel is immaculate. We got the room with a pool view and I highly recommend you do it too. We really enjoyed the 9ft pool with two hot tubs as well as the arcade area, shuffle board, and putt putt golf. They also have an area upstairs to workout that over sees the entire area. We really enjoyed being able to walk right out of our rooms to a large area with tables and seats to eat our meals. They have a bar in the pool area as well if you are looking for a drink. The restaurant was really good too. Large portions. We have been to many hotels and this was by far our favorite one so far!

There was a small issue with my room but the front desk was awesome about resolving it. The hotel itself is older but has a really great pool area. It has an arcade a bar and restaurant and even mini golf. I wish the gym was in a seperate area as you can smell the chlorine. But it would be easy to work out and watch your kids play. My kid had a blast staying here. Would recommend especially for families with kids. Also kids eat free at holiday Inn.

We had a pool side room on the 3rd floor. This was pool front which was great, but high enough not to get all the noise from the kids swimming and playing. I am glad we did not have a room on floor 1 as it got loud. The room was a typical room. The hotel is great for families with the activities: heated pool, hot hot tub, restaurant, bar, shuffle board, small put put golf area. The gym needs updated badly. The sauna was nice. The hotel is right beside Six Flags.

Very nice stay. Pool area is sweet and a bar right next. Black out curtains were 5/5. Phenomenal. However, read the fine print, breakfast is not complimentary and is treated like a restaurant. I am not one that wants to speak to anyone prior to 8am on vacation to get biscuits and gravy, so that was rather inconvenient. I just stuck to the self serve coffee after that. You can tell this hotel has been around for decades. Needs some remodeling. Water stains on ceilings, plywood covering up old doorways, etc.

Great pool and lots of video games for the kids. Nice bar for the adults. A pool view room is nice but very loud. The pool is open 8am to 11pm on the weekends. If your a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend the pool view.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The property has a fundome so very kid friendly. However, if you are an adult. I would recommend to stay during the week for a more quieter experience in the pool area. There is a nice weekend buffet served in a historic building, which is a restaurant located on the property. Additional information, Six Flags amusement park is located across the road and shuttle is available. However, we didn't have time to utilize. Nice property and not too far from Downtown St. Louis if you are attending an event in the city.

My best friend and I take our daughters here for their birthday because of the pool and arcade. We love the setup and look of the hotel. What we do not like is the last couple times we have gone the hot tub has been packed full of little kids. There should be an age limit and it be inforced. My friend and I were not able to enjoy the hot tub from the hours between 4-11 because it was kid packed the entire time.

Overall we had a wonderful experience! I would say the only downfall was that it was a rainy weekend and there were leaks all over the property and buckets set up to catch the water coming through. Otherwise, we had a great time and the staff was incredible. The pool was fun, the Easter scavenger hunt was a great touch! The kids loved the arcade and shuffle board as well!

Great place to stay with the family and shuttle service to the six flags park. Loved the family room for our family of 5. A separate room for the parents plus two beds for the kids. comfortable beds and pillows. Indoor pool was a huge perk.

This is the dingiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The vents look like they haven't been cleaned since the building was erected. Our bedroom shared a wall with an exterior door, so every time it closed we heard a loud bang and our headboard shook violently. We signed a no-smoking clause upon check-in yet our hallway reeked of smoke each night.

Overall I do like the place!! Good food and staff… I did go to the bathroom at the pool .. if had lots of baby flys and a roach crawling on the wall!!! I know it sounds bad but I do like the place

It was nice, nostalgic, love the rich history and pool, bar, arcade area! Breakfast was good too. The bathroom toilet was not very clean and our top blanket had a soiled smell, so we slept without it. All and all it was very good visit. Our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed it too!

I booked this hotel because the ratings were good. The first room they put us in, the ceiling had fell through in the bathroom. They moved us into the room right beside that one. The first night staying here I was woken up by a scratching noise coming from the walls. I’m pretty sure it was mice. The morning we were getting our things together to check out I found a bed bug crawling on the floor. I highly recommend staying somewhere else if visiting the area.

The place was great! Our room was perfect for our family of 6! There was quite a bit of leftover snacks left under our bed from previous stay. Like they cleaned around the bed but didnt check under. But other than that, everything else was awesome!

It’s got a great concept with the pool/arcade however the rooms are worn down. The carpet is gross and has this film on it, the window and ac unit look old and nasty. The beds were comfy, the tv and channels are pointless to even have.

Had a great time here! The manager called our room directly to ask if everything was okay with our stay. Pool was clean and staff was friendly. Microwave is in the lounge area, your room will not have one. Fridge is pretty big and was clean. Beds are softer and comfortable. Also a plus for us was the white comforter. We've all walked in and immediately thrown the questionable patterned one in the corner. So that was nice! Note for early bird families, the pool view rooms are amazing unless you want to relax or go to bed before 10 pm. If you want to sleep earlier or relax, the sounds are quite loud and so are the people so I'd recommend a non pool view room and you'd be good.

The staff were kind and accommodating. The Expedia information didn’t translate over to their system, so the room I booked was not the room we got. The hotel rooms face the pool area and right outside the room is a walkway. It is very loud having a room facing the pool. After the pool shut down at 11, it quieted down. But young kids ran up and down the walkway smacking our sliding glass door until well past that time, and then again in the morning, even before 8 am. The thermostat in the room had to be reset twice by the front desk so our room wouldn’t stay warm and there was some kind of build up on the iron that I didn’t notice until after I pressed a white dress shirt for the wedding we were in town for. If you’re looking for a quiet place to get rest during a busy weekend, intentionally book a room that doesn’t have a walkway and doesn’t face the pool, or choose a different hotel. The breakfast was phenomenal and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend eating at the hotel restaurant. The poolside bar was well stocked and inexpensive!

We stayed two nights while visiting Six Flags. The hotel was fine. Very old and could use a complete redo but the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool area was nice, we had a pool side room which was noisy while the pool was open but we expected that. Don’t waste your money on the Buffett breakfast. It was awful! Horrible food. Also they don’t tell you at booking that the kids eat free so we paid for additional days that we didn’t even need or get to use. The shuttle to six flags was amazing.

The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were a bit small but they were still comfy and queit. They did not have free breakfast which was sad but The Hay Barn was pretty good. Over our stay was pretty good.

This is a very worn-down hotel. The rooms and public areas are in sad (but not terrible) shape. would probably have not bother to write a review if it wasn’t for he poor experience with the staff. While the hotel appeared mostly empty when we came in early March, the restaurant was more crowded than expected (maybe a dozen diners). The staff seemed frustrated that my party also wanted to eat there and was so uninterested in taking our orders or seating us that we left. I assume by their reaction that they were understaffed but their discouraging and frustrated response to us wanting to eat at a maybe 1/4 full restaurant was not appropriate from people in the hospitality industry. Please train your staff better and give them better resources. That experience plus the shabbiness of the hotel made me never want to visit again.

It was not easy to navigate around the hotel. There was a leak in the ceiling in the hallway right outside our room. There was just a bucket there collecting brown water. Several times I forgot and got water dripped on me. The service was poor. I had to ask multiple times to get towels brought to the room.

There was a kid party the entire weekend. The pool area was filled with kids running around screaming and jumping in and out of the pool and hot tub back and forth. It was nearly impossible to use either. The parents were too busy drinking at thir tables to say anything and the staff although walking around did absolutely nothing. I booked a 2 night stay with the hope of relaxing and getting some water therapy. Ended up staying in my room almost the entire time. If you plan to visit this place call ahead and ask if they are hosting any special event because i definitely regret not doing so.

We paid extra and added breakfast on to our room, the buffet was good. The bacon was cooked perfectly and had a good variety of food. The hot tub and pool were nice and clean. We had 2 rooms. 1 king and the other was a 2 queen beds. The king room was perfect, air conditioner was cooling and the bed was comfy. Queen room the a.c unit couldnt keep the room cooled. Both rooms were clean and bathrooms were clean and shower worked great. Definitely will stay again of we go back to Six flags.

Staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. Everyone from pool staff to the front desk to the restaurant workers. Pool staff continually worked to keep the area clean. Our rooms were clean and quiet at night. We enjoyed breakfast two mornings in a row and the restaurant staff was so kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and utilized the transportation shuttle to Six Flags. It worked great and the driver was very nice. Thank you for a great stay!

I got an hour away from checking out realizing I forgot my wallet. After calling the hotel frantic, they found it and called me back within 15 minutes. Honest, good staff and a great stay. This was our 2nd stay, and we will be back again. They also have the best waffles ever.

This is our third time staying and have already book a fourth stay. Here are some reasons why we love this hotel. 1. The restaurant onsite offers a delicious buffet breakfast. 2. The shuttle to and from Six Flags is such perk. 3. Our room has always been very clean, no issues. 4. The pool and activity area is wonderful. Great place to hangout after visiting Six Flags. There is a IMO Pizza close by that has the St. Louis classic toasted raviolis. Definitely recommend.

This was our first stay here. We stayed for a night for spring break to give the kids something to do. The pool was great. The arcade was fun, but very expensive. The food was also good. Although I was told when we checked in that the two kids (11&7) would eat free with us two adults. While the kids swam I ordered dinner and was given the total. Was a bit more than I was expecting since I was told the kids ate free and there was a sign in the restaurant. She said because I ordered appetizers that I had to pay for the kids’ meals. She would not budge and said I either had to pay or cancel the order. The only other problem we had was the three men that have been living there for a month were in the pool and smelled like weed so strong we got headaches - then they were in the room right across the hall so our entire hallway reeked of weed. Other than those two things the hotel itself was very nice and clean and we would stay again.

Kids had an amazing time with the pool. Dining for breakfast was great. Was hot and fresh and had a wide variety of items to choose from. Our stay was great no complaints. Relatively quiet especially being near major traffic ways and a theme park. Would absolutely stay here again!

I love how nostalgic the property was! Very spacious common ground with multiple pools for the whole family! Floor and arcade games for everyone! Poor bar was a plus! Restaurant offered lots of options for breakfast and dinner and was absolutely delicious with fast service!! We stayed in the family unit for more room! It Was very clean and stocked! Will come back again! Definitely recommend!!
