Motel 6-Porterville, CA

Room furniture needs to be change old bed and nightstand and repaint room. Shower old needs change. What really got to me there was roaches in the room. For the price it would be 2 stars. Because of roaches 0 stars I give it 1 star because no problem with check in and I saw house keeping cleaning rooms of other people who had just checkout. I needed a iron. The office people took care of it no problem there. This review goes to the people own/Manage the motel. How can you rent this place like this and how can you have your employees work in this environment. 9/5-7/26

Staff was very helpful, checking was very efficient and smooth, room was very cleand and smelled very clean as well. I like this place because it has easy access to many things around the city. Service was as expected or better, I would say. One downside was that there are quite a few homeless people around the property, but they never gave me any trouble. Also, there is a pool that has been left to die and it looks bad, but it is closed. Additionally, I felt welcomed by the staff and I was offered help.

Our stay at Motel 6 was extremely disappointing. There were roaches around the property and even inside our room we killed a couple during our stay. The room looked moderately cleaned at first glance, but once we looked closer, it felt very unsanitary. The walls were stained, and when we moved the trash can, there was a large wet puddle underneath it. The bathroom was especially bad. The shower floor appeared dirty and had brown staining, and the old shower curtain was being held up with zip ties. The sink would not drain properly, and you could clearly see hair and buildup around the drain. Some of the trim and repairs around the room also looked poorly patched and maintained. We were uncomfortable enough with the cleanliness that we slept on top of the bedding with our clothes on. On top of that, the night was extremely disruptive. We could hear people arguing and threatening to kill each other, along with people repeatedly running back and forth in the room above us. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained, unsanitary, and uncomfortable. Based on our experience, we would never stay here again !!
