Courtyard Los Angeles Sherman Oaks

Portion of property was under repair/reconstruction. Cafe was only open for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Room was fine.

The property had a pool, outside deck with a fireplace and a fitness room.

Extremely clean facilities the only disappointment was the roof top pool was under construction and that was not stated until after I made the reservation

The 4th floor was gym and pool were closed til 1:00 because of remodel. We stay almost every year to see relatives during the new year. Sad to not get workout in the morning.

The hotel room was nice and clean. The elevator(s) was slow and extremely tiny for such a large hotel. They could do a better job of making the pool area and pool deck more welcoming. It was pretty bare and not somewhere I would want to hang out.

Check-in was SO FAST! Parking was easy and convenient (though layout was weird, and it cost $27). Location is great. Room was super clean. Top floors have a great view. Elevators are tiny (max 3 people & suitcases); prepare to wait for the next elevator at checkout -- especially lower floors.

Excellent staff. There was construction while I was there, which was a minor inconvenience, and the parking space is quite tight, but good food in the restaurant and the great staff made me really enjoy the place.

It is an order property with visible wear which is expected. Parking was convenient however $22 per day is excessive in my opinion. All of the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We lost power on Friday night for a few hours. They were quick to provide blankets and do whatever that could do during the outage. No management from the hotel reached out to express their any sort of apology or offer to provide anything for my inconvenience. Not good in my opinion

This place is rip-off. I paid $340 for the night for an average hotel - then they charge me $25 for overnight parking - they told me breakfast was in the lobby and I assumed it was a typical free breakfast...NOPE...an expensive breakfast menu - and I had to pay $4 for a cup of coffee. And pool and jacuzzi were not available. TOTAL RIPOFF

Although I quite frequent this hotel and haven’t had many issues (the occasional outage of the in room WiFi) everything is usually great. The main point for this review was that there was cockroaches in our room. Not only in the room itself but in the bathroom as well. This definitely has put a damper on the idea of coming back to this location even though it’s very convenient and pleasant to stay at. For the moment being however, it’s safe to say that we will not be coming back for a while.

Elevators out all weekend. Spent more time walking steps than resting. Whole place smells and is dirty. Staff was excellent but all they could do was apologize for the above and no one fixed the problems. Won’t stay there again.

Serviceable for a business trip, freeway close and near plenty of shopping and restaurants. Noise from outside was very loud and lighting in the room and bathroom were not ideal for putting on makeup.

I arrived a little early, but they permitted me to check in. The room was clean, well maintained, but a little small. They've adapted by installing slightly smaller amenities such as the bathroom sink with very limited counter space. Overall, fairly nice.

Based on many bookings done, so far I have received great and positive reviews about the hotel. In summary, the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the headquarters and is considered a good business hotel. Situated next to the highway, the hotel is clean but shows signs of aging in the rooms. While the lobby presents a more appealing atmosphere, the rooms appear a bit run down. The service provided is commendable, with attentive staff members. However, there is some noise from the nearby highway that may disturb guests. Despite having a balcony, it was sealed shut with silicon, which seems to be a standard feature in all rooms. The rooms come equipped with a fridge (empty), a coffee machine, and a few glasses. Unfortunately, water bottles are not provided and need to be purchased from the cafe/bar. The rooms feature carpeted floors and have dirty windows that are difficult to see through clearly. Spacious room. Good shower, bed and television. Friendly, helpful staff. Slow elevator. OK area. Easy parking.

Did not like room that was adjoining to next room(2nd time that happened). Bed was too soft on one side; likely used the most so made sleeping uncomfortable for spouse.

The balcony doors don’t open keep that in mind when booking.

My husband called ahead on Friday to make sure I could have early check-in as I was having surgery under anesthesia a few doors down at RSA with HRC. The girl told him the room would be ready by 9:30 AM and that we did not need to book the night before. I arrived at the hotel and they told us that the room will not be ready for another hour. When he spoke to receptionist on Friday, he let her know if we cannot do early check-in, we would arrange Sunday night on our stay also. She said no it’s fine… early arrival was approved. That was a lie. I was stuck sitting in a waiting room drowsy on anesthesia when I should be laying down sleeping not in public. Not safe or acceptable. I was stuck in the lobby nauseous. I had to relieve that to find the bathroom was closed. So the guy receptionist gave me a clear plastic bag to use in the lobby. How degrading! I was beyond embarrassed to be in the lobby in an affluent area no make up, in pjs, nauseous and in pain. We moved on once a room was available.. to receive a snarky email from Manager Jon Rushing that I was complaining for no reason and that he was so curious that we were even allowed early check in. Mind you I had just had an embryo transfer under full sedation. Remaining calm and not stressed is a MAJOR part of the transfer’s success. So I don’t appreciate this hotel jeopardizing thousands of our money and babies lives due to giving false information and then being pompous because I complained to corporate.

Terrible customer service. Rude employees. I was told that I couldn’t have a microwave because I wasn’t in a king sized room. The power and elevators shut down will I was in a Zoom meeting for work. The refrigerator in my room stop working in the middle of the night and all of my groceries went bad. The air conditioning went out while I was in my Zoom meeting. The hallway walls were filthy. When I complained to the person at the front desk she was extremely rude. I asked why did I pay so much to stay there if all the amenities weren’t available. She said that I paid for my accommodations and the privilege to stay in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood. Which I found very offensive, seeing as how I live in Sherman Oaks already. I was staying because my apartment was being renovated. I am a black woman and she appeared to be Latina.

The overall stay was decent. I am very disappointed with the transaction that transpired with being charged/ the hotel “holing” $160. Instead of the verbal communication of $100 hold for incidentals which was explained. The front desk nor manager could explain the overcharge. The front desk initially stated they didn’t know what the extra $60 overcharged was for. The manager said the $60 would be voided out. No apology nor explanation as to why that occurred. Very disappointed at the level and lack of customer services.

Quite possibly some of the BEST service I’ve received as a global traveler. Really cannot thank them enough for being so accommodating and gracious, helping me navigate a recent back injury.

I expressed a concern about the room I was assigned. Within moments, Samantha, the manager, phoned my room and located 2 other rooms fore to choose from. I selected one of these rooms and had a wonderful stay. I am very grateful and impressed with the way my concern was met. Excellent management.

This was a convenient location for my visit to Sherman Oaks. The room and hotel was nice overall.

Lots of places to shop near by and Lord's of restaurants to choose from.

The hotel was located at a very convenient location giving easy access and fast around the city.

This hotel is located next to the freeway. The rooms are dark and extremely noisy. It was hard to sleep with all the freeway noises. The staff were accommodating. There was parking for $24 a night. There is a restaurant on the premises with a limited menu.

It’s close to 405

This property is conveniently located to shopping, convenience/gas store, and dining. It was quiet in the rooms, although located on a major street (Ventura Blvd). It was slightly expensive for my short visit to the area, but I will stay here again.

Easy access and close to the freeway.

In town for a girl's weekend - close to freeway, things to do, shopping, restaurants, cafes nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Convenient to the 405 and stores. Otherwise, typical valley hotel location/area. Not really nice, homeless lingering, and dirty outside. But interior of hotel was good and clean.

I have stayed at this property and this hotel many times, This time was very disappointing. No room service. No lunch service. No dinner service. No bar service. No robes for the pool. Has Marriott just given up on this property??? This property has one of the best locations and could be so much more, but you just don’t seem to care anymore. Again very disappointing. Richard LaDez

Great hotel and staff. Restaurant is great

Friendly staff, convenient access to parking lot (covered) made my trip much easier as I travel with a lot of musical equipment. Great area, lots of dining options around and the hotel has a restaurant/bar that is open for breakfast and dinner. I had a tasty breakfast and also ate dinner there twice, food was good and hit the spot. Will stay here again.

A centrally located property, near UCLA, Getty Center, suburban Sherman Oaks area. Property is clean, but restaurant is only open for breakfast. Service was very good.

The property was nice but the amenities were below average. There was no soap in the shower. Breakfast was not included, and the food offered for breakfast was limited, very ordinary and over-priced.
