Really cool place, delicious food and drinks at the bar, and amazing live music. Met some fun locals who were there just to enjoy the atmosphere. Rooms were nice and seemed recently upgraded too. Very comfortable bed and pillows. We are from Gilbert and may comeback just to hang out at the pool and bar. Thanks!

Prices are very good and fair, clean establishment. Parking was a bit of a problem, not enough for guests. Would I recommend or book here again? Definitely. Oh and the pool is heated..sheeeeesh let’s go!

The hotel was in a great location for the Kino Sports Complex, making it very convenient for our Pickleball tournament. The recently remodeled rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the pool area was overcrowded with little to no shade—umbrellas were scarce, and the cabanas offered no real sun protection, making it unusable during the heat of the day. Additionally, the surrounding area felt a bit sketchy. Overall, a good stay for the tournament, but the pool setup could definitely be improved.

Really great place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Pool was perfect. Did was great! Will definitely stay again!

Anybody can be there if they pay the minimal fee to use their facilities It was literally like being at a water park

Like most everything at this hotel. Our particular room had a sewer smell.

This property is beautiful and held up to its reviews, however when we got to our room we noticed a few ants and dogs which was not great. Also after having our shoes off noticed our white socks were black. I took a white towel from the bathroom, wet it and it was black. It seems the housekeepers don’t properly mop the floors. Also the shampoo and body wash were out, called the front desk and the gal that answered was rude, walked over and she was rude again. The housekeeper stopped by and gave me what looked like a clear condiment bottle that was supposed to be body wash. Not the caliber I get when I stay at a Marriott flag properly. When I complained the next morning the gal at the front desk had an attitude and told me I would have to work with hotels.com as I booked through them. I will have to call/chat them if the property manager doesn’t reach out.

I love this hotel. It is very comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the smell. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and each room smelled like sewage. Not really bad but you could smell it. And smell bad enough for me to stay here but it’s a little annoying when you first get there.

Everything was clean and updated. Staff was very friendly

The receptionists was no where to be found when we arrived. Had to go look for him. When we got to the room, I spilled suntan lotion on the floor and decided to clean it up. The rag I used was black from the dirt built up which means the floor of the room was not mopped. Disgusting! The walls are thin and noise level was rather high. I would certainly not recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The food is good, we had a meal and a snack there, it's decent short order cook style stuff, not going to blow your mind. That was literally the only thing that wasn't a home run for us.

The room was comfortable, but the bedside table was dirty with a sticky residue . The room had only one small trash can in the bathroom area . The pool area was nice , but after it got a bit more crowded people were openly smoking weed. Breakfast was the best part of the stay .

Looks nice but small. This property may have a plumbing problem because our first room upon entering smelt like cdiff and then on the last day of our stay in the second room a malodorous odor started to creep in the room. Overall it’s close to the tour de Tucson start location which is convenient.

The rooms are incredibly noisy- this is an old motel that was remodeled, but the developers put cheap vinyl windows in which aren’t soundproof. So, the freeway noise never ends, it’s awful. Also, the neighborhood is a slum, there’s no food nearby, IHG has incredible nerve to charge $200-399 a night for this place.

There was a lot to like at this hotel -- the room itself was very nice and we liked the style of the renovation, both in the guest rooms and with respect to the pool area and lobby/restaurant/bar building. The staff at the desk and in the restaurant area were also great and helpful, and the breakfast was solid. We found the location excellent as well, both for walking into town and for driving to some hiking areas around the city. The main negative for us was that the sound proofing between rooms is not very good, so we had several nights of very poor / interrupted sleep due to loud (or just not fastidiously quiet late at night) neighbors. It was also strange that, although we were out of the room for at least 6-7 hours continuously each day, we only had our room serviced by housekeeping once in our 6 day stay. An investment in more soundproofing, especially with respect to the doors connecting rooms, and maybe a tweak to the system that the housekeeping staff is using to check for when guests are out for the day would make this a 5 star place to stay, easily. I recommend it as long as you bring earplugs and/or a white noise machine to help ensure a good night's sleep, and don't mind asking for towels when you need them and taking out your own trash! On balance, we did enjoy our stay and had a good visit to Tucson.

Room didn’t have fridge or iron small room for the price. Bed was hard not comfortable..

Booked this hotel based on proximity to locations I wanted to visit, price, and reputation of IHG hotels. Boy, was I disappointed. On arrival, I learned that the pool and hot tub were closed, the cable TV was not working, and the roof was being repaired. Roof repair started at 8 am and ended after 6 pm. Pounding echoed through the room. Fortunately, the workers were quiet - no music, no shouting. The room was tiny! - almost as compact as a cruise cabin. The king bed almost filled the room. One plus was that each side of the bed had a night stand with a light. At first glance, the vinyl plank flooring seemed attractive. On closer inspection, the vinyl showed heavy scratches and will require replacement soon. The room lacked a closet. Instead, a "pipe" with a few hangers was mounted high on one wall. Under a ledge - about 8" x 40" - , there were two incredibly shallow drawers. Useless. The bathroom was clean and offered adequate counter space for two people. However, 1. one ply toilet paper 2. rain shower head, which guarantees that one's hair will get wet and that rinsing one's entire body will be a challenge. 3. to preserve water, a sign suggests reusing towels. The entire bathroom had two small pegs, about 8" apart, to hang bath towels (reasonable quality) and face cloths. Other comments: adequate parking friendly staff fun art I will not stay at this hotel in the future, and I cannot recommend it.

Came down to see my daughter at U of A. Great job of revamping this old property. Cool atmosphere and vibe. Pool area is nice. However, this isn't the place if you're spending multiple nights. Corporate put the effort into designing the very small room, but didn't think of the practicality. There is no dresser. Two narrow drawers under the TV is good for underwear and socks only. Six hangers on the trendy pipe design system isn't a closet. The shelf between the bed should be a night stand with drawers. I lived out of my suitcase. The waste basket in the bathroom is too small. The shower had just enough water pressure to get the job done. I would have put in a hand held shower not the rain shower. Two towel hooks next to the shower is the only place to hang a towel. There is wall space to add a towel bar(s) and towel ring. Hand towels and wash cloths had no place to go but on the vanity counter. The mattress and pillows were too soft for me (that's personal preference, of course.)

This is simply a motel. Very over priced. The area is extremely sketchy. The property has a bar on it & people kept walking back to their rooms all night from there. It was super loud. The rooms are tiny. Go somewhere else, this place is not it.

Clean, well maintained room. Comfy bed and pillows. Pool area looked nice but I didn’t use it. Fridge didn’t get very cold and there wasn’t a microwave.

We loved the amenities and the pizza and drinks were good at the restaurant. Super cute and the kids loved the pool. Unfortunately the wifi wasn’t working in our room and either was the TV, our kids were a bit overtired and just wanted to watch a movie to calm down but we were unable to do so.

The place was quiet day and night. The rooms are small but we were only staying one night and then heading out. The bathroom surprisingly large and decorated retro. No TV or microwave or closet. It's located directly across the freeway from the Barrio Viejo, what's left of the early adobe neighborhood that is now being restored. Walk through it if you get a chance.

The rooms are very small at 180 sq ft. Too small for comfort.

Room was clean and efficient - a little on the smaller side but the beds are a little lifted so you can fit plenty of stuff underneath, which we appreciated. Super easy bike starting point since it's near the path, and about ~5 minutes to downtown Tucson. The staff was especially very friendly and went out of their way to help.

when i got there to check-in, the front desk was unmanned and i had to wait for a bit for service. she had taken a bio-break and gave me a drink ticket for my trouble. this is good. taking initiative to avert any potential customer service disasters. i really like the look and feel of the place. i love the party lights over the pool area - very cool. i liked the gates around the property to offer privacy. the laminate flooring had some gaps - so there were little issues with craftmanship. the plug-in cube on one side of the bed didn't work. the door had issues closing. slept like a baby - nice sound insulation and comfortable bed. i got up to leave for my morning walk and found i could not close the door. i needed to leave to do my exercise and could not. i called the front desk and they came and couldn't close it either. the guy who does such thing would not be in for an hour. they switched me to another room and i had to move all my stuff. no other issues until i left. someone smoking just outside the door on the so-called non-smoking grounds. i go to check out, wondering if the clerk would have the same initiative as last night to want to offer something for my trouble. no such luck. and i complained about the smoking. she just shrugged. oh well. i guess all i can do is warn my friends that, although a fancy look on the outside, this is just as blah as the rest of the hotels in this area.

Customer service was horrible-actually non existent. Repeated attempts to speak to management was put off and ignored therefore no resolution. Rooms seemed clean but very small and beds were very uncomfortable.

The food is good, we had a meal and a snack there, it's decent short order cook style stuff, not going to blow your mind. That was literally the only thing that wasn't a home run for us.

Overall: If you NEED to have a hotel in this area of Tucson and you don't mind exterior door rooms and you don't care about service and you can get it for $100/night, go for it. Otherwise, look for a hotel in north Tucson – 30 minutes away is a very nice area. Good: Although it looks like a Motel 6 when you arrive, the inside property is surprisingly nice, including the rooms, pool & lobby. Good: One employee (Edward was his name, I believe) was very customer focused and he did a great job helping us with coffee & amenities. Bad: Breakfast took 45 minutes & was served cold by the bar tender (who had the same temperature demeaner). We didn't even bother eating onsite thereafter. After speaking with the manager, no refund of pre-paid breakfasts was offered. Bad: Room service didn't show. Took almost an hour to get new towels after a subsequent phone call. Bad: Workout room was missing towels. After making a special request for towels, they delivered exactly three towels (for a room full of people). Bad: Neighborhood is rough. Nearby gas station has products under lock & key. Next door hotels have signs saying that the customer is responsible if their car is broken into. The Tuxon is fenced in, which helps if you stay here.

I checked in very smoothly, the hotel was nice. The hotel staff was very helpful, But the AC in my room could not be adjusted and was set at about 80 degrees. I got only an hour and a half sleep and then woke up drenched in sweat at 11pm and tried to get back to sleep for the next 2 hours. Couldn’t so I just left at 1am. They offered me a new room which was nice but I had to leave early in the morning anyways. But I will not stay here again. Especially because I left my number for a manager to call and follow up with me about the AC and it’s been almost 48 hours and still no follow up. So not excited about this stay.

The hotel itself was fine. The only knock is it's a walk from the downtown through a 'not nice' neighborhood. Other than that, a good value hotel.

An older hotel that has been remodeled that is - convenient to downtown Tucson. Drawbacks are: (1) it is right next the highway although most rooms are faced inward toward the middle of the hotel where the pool is located; and (2) the immediate area the hotel is in is very very bad.

Check in was easy, the room was cute and clean. The location was easy to get to the freeway and allowed me to get around town with relative ease.

Loved the cleanliness and fresh upgrades. It was a perfect distance to the things we wanted to do downtown, too.

Boutique hotel with a lot of character. Close to many attractions.

The Tuxon is a cute, restored motel. Near the famous "A" mountain, but not a great neighborhood/right off I-10. The rooms were tiny, but they were clean and the bed comfortable. Kind of fun vibe in the bar and pool areas. The food available was adequate, if not spectacular. Nice to have a full bar with TVs and pool view in an open environment that didn't feel seedy or depressing in a hotel. More pluses than minuses on this one.

This was such a cool place. It’s a remodeled old motel and they did a nice job! The food is great and it has a lovely pool area. The room was smaller than we would’ve liked but we were only in Tucson for two days and only needed it for sleeping and showering.

Very cute and chíc hotel! Breakfast options were delicious and felt like a high end restaurant!

Property was clean and provided everything we needed. Employees were friendly and helpful. If you choose to stay here, eat at their restaurant. We had breakfast and it was better than any we had on our week vacation.

I had a very enjoyable stay here. My room was clean and comfortable for the price. The pool was clean, the staff were all very friendly and greeted me, and it's a short walk to downtown Tucson from the hotel. Two free water bottles in the minifridge were a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again. If I had to give some suggestions to improve, I would say that the trash cans need to be a bit bigger and the food quality at the hotel bar could improve. The nachos were a little weird.

We enjoyed our room--but booked this stay for the resort experience--which we did not get. Bar closed at happy hour when we arrived on Friday. Cook missing for breakfast service on Saturday morning. Ridiculous price point without the perks. Will fight the refund battle & let u know how it turns out vPool area looked nice.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially Cassandra. The breakfast was quite good. The room and grounds were clean.
