The pool is excellent. The rooms seemed old and depressing, lots of gray dingy carpets. Elevator was dirty. Sink was clogged and we lost power in the bathroom. It wasn’t the greatest but it was ok

My only reason why I didn’t give 5 starts is because the pool was freezing. They supposedly said the engineer was working in it. We were there 2 days and it was freezing both days which was disappointing because my kids were really looking forward

Staff was nice. Cookies delicious. Lobby and meeting facility looked newer. Actual halls and rooms outdated and small. Old. Pool and exercise room looked nice but no hot tub. Beds were very comfortable. Furniture was nice but old and showed wear and tear. I had requested a room in the building. The lobby was attached to. But was given a room in building four buildings over took forever to walk to.

Nice place. Older but all fixed up. Very nice. Unfortunately, they were working on the exterior of the building and had all the entrances closed that allowed access to our section. The only way was to walk through the front lobby, passed all the conference rooms through building A and then into ours, building B. This was a bit of a trek, especially loading luggage in and out. Under normal, non construction, conditions we would have been able to access the back lot quickly and easily. My only true complaint is that I purchased the wifi package when I booked but it was unclear if I received it. I tried checking in your website with the live chat AI I am assuming, but it failed to answer my question. Double Tree wanted too much personal info from me in order to use their Hilton Honors wifi. I think I just went with their free one, even after paying for wifi. It was very confusing!! Next time I will not pre-purchase wifi.

Nice lobby, nice room, but everything in between is mid renovation. Insanely long walk to room from lobby, but overall a decent experience. Once the rest of the hotel gets renovated it will be a nice place. Awesome accessibility to the Mall of America and IKEA, literally across the street.

The lobby was great. The staff were really nice, but as soon as we turned down the hall to our room it was like we stepped into another hotel. Everything was old and worn out. The elevator was gross. Our room had a running toilet and the restroom door kept falling off the sliding rail. Its time to update

We stayed in the old part of the complex. It needs some good cleaning. Curtains were dirty, hand prints on bathroom wall, mattress was lumpy. Drinks in the bar were very expensive. Staff was pleasant, especially the lady in the coffee area! She was so friendly.

The Property is Old. Had problems with toilets in 2 different rooms. One toiled leaked on the floor. 2nd room had a toilet with urine stains on it. Both rooms had bathrooms needing grout or paint. Would never stay there again.

The air conditioner didn’t work. A large electric panel had been removed from the heating and cooling equipment in the wall, leaving a 5’ x 3’ hole in the wall. When we asked for a different room we were told we could but the available rooms were all dirty because they hadn’t been cleaned yet. Since this was after midnight it wasn’t as if someone was coming to clean it. It was very noisy. I banged on our wall at 1:30 to get the people next door to shut up. I would not recommend

Close to the airport. Taxi's will cost you $23 bucks for the 5minute ride (total rip off). Hotel is clean, rooms are nice. Totally overpriced (Around 200usd/night), espcially since its just really a place to crash because you missed your connecting flight -- but other than that, and the insane cost for a 5min ride, its a decent place to crash on a layover.

Stayed in older part of hotel. Had a room that had an adjoining door and could hear next room as clear as if in room with us. Loud neighbors until after midnight. Bathroom had toothpaste all over counter and shower dirty. Reserved double beds on reservation and hotel check in person told us he only had 2 double rooms available.

Easy check in, cleanly. But the WiFi is absolutely terrible. It dropped multiple times. I finally went down to the front desk, and was given a special password to use so I could complete my work. The only worst Wi-Fi I’ve had at a hotel in the past 10 years, was an isolated resort in the Bahamas.

Have to admit reading some of the negative reviews spooked. Place was fine. Yes it’s clearly in transition from being an old 80s Marriott property. But our room was modern. Hallways were still dated but I’m sure that’s next on priority list. Staff were friendly at all times. Pros: proximity to mall of America, ample parking, only about a $20 Uber to either stadium downtown. (We did not use airport shuttle service but they seems to have rotating vans constantly), rooms were modern and clean and well air conditioned with modern thermostat. Cons: hot tub permanently covered over, pool was VERY cold, almost unenjoyable, no microwave in rooms (there’s one in lobby to use), water pressure in shower actually hurt but that may have just been our room. Side note the place is a MAZE of different buildings. But we got used to it. All in all we thought it was fine with some room to grow and improve but nothing that was a deal breaker. Wasnt quite up to DoubleTree or Hilton reputation for me, but still nowhere near some of the terrible reviews I read. And of course the DoubleTree cookies were warm and plentiful. We didn’t use the restaurant at all so no comments there.

The property inside is well kept. Outside is another issue, you realize this is not the JW Marriott across the street. The beds are full size not queen and I did not see any queens size beds to book. The room was clean and cleaned when requested. The temperature was not consistent and the thermostat was difficult to manage.

The guy who checked us in, I think his name was Alexander, was SO NICE. I was nervous to check in so late with a hungry and sleepy toddler, but he made the process so easy and fast. Before I knew it, I was handed the keys and off to our room.

Staff was amazing and went out of thier way to assist me. You are given a warm cookie at checkin and a welcome message personalized on the tv when you enter the room. My stay was when Delta canceled hundreds of flights and thousands of people were stranded at Minneapolis airport. The hotel was maxed out and still made every effort to make you feel welcome. I personally witnessed staff being verbally attacked by tired stranded people and they maintained professionalism and moved on to the next guest. THANK YOU! I will reccomemed and stay there again.

The restaurant for breakfast was disorganized and slow. There was not one table to sit at - not because they were all being used by people but that the majority of the tables were never bussed and cleared for new patrons. The front coffee counter in the lobby had one person and she was doing her best but the lack of help in such a large hotel brought about for a disappointing experience.

Staff very friendly! Offered us a ride to the train and picked us up after the Twins game so we didn’t have to drive and pay for parking! The pool was nice. The hotel is walking distance to IKEA and Mall of America ( the mall has free parking so we actually drove there). I would definitely stay again!

I understand why this hotel was discounted. The place looks like all they have done is put lipstick on a pig. Check in staff was helpful and so was the staff that drove the vans. The restaurant could have qualified to be on Gordon Ramseys TV show, Restaurant impossible. I sat down and there were crumbs all over the seat on the booth. I ordered a beer and it took 20 minutes. The waiter then came back and I asked about my beer. He said, “I ordered it a while ago”, 10 minutes later he finally returned with the beer. I thought I had better order my dinner, or I would be there all night. I ordered a cheeseburger and it showed up extremely well done in about 15 minutes. Meanwhile the phone in the restaurant continued to ring without anyone answering it. This happened about six times while I was there. I suppose it was someone who wanted room service. I finally just requested the bill to go back to my room. Overall there were a bunch of tables with dirty dishes left behind. Not the cleanest restaurant. I tried to call the front desk to place a wake up call and the phone just rang and rang. Finally I gave up and just hoped that the alarm clock would work. The a/c in the room made it sound l ike a train was coming through as it was so loud. Best thing about the stay was the chocolate cookie they gave me upon check-in. Ownership needs to spend some real money to keep up with the newer hotels around the airport.

Shawn is the most amazing bartender ever! After a long day of traveling, he hooked our kids up with some chicken fingers and fries at almost 1 am and poured me a nice big glass of wine. He was so friendly and seemed genuinely happy to help. We slept ok despite planes taking off and landing all night long, but we booked the stay at the airport so what did we expect! If you’re staying here, go see Shawn!
