My initial service experience was positive-- they were having an issue with the credit card machine but let me take my room (which was clean) anyway and would call me when the machine was up so I could pay. No, I would not let them copy my credit card as requested because I thought that sounded shady. Flash Forward 8 hours later. If they called my phone to tell me the machine was up, I didn't recognize it-- but they had no hesitation walking into my room at 11:15 at night. " Oh there's someone in it !" closing the door back, frightening my family, and waking my husband. We settled up 15 minutes later in the office, but I still think that should have been handled either earlier in the day or early the next morning since he already had my ID. And maybe I'm used to a different kind of service, but the room was not cleaned and the towels not changed while we were gone during the day. Our room keys even had to be 'redone' daily because I guess they didn't think we were staying all three days. Clean eating area, but weak 'continental breakfast '. No food in the vending machines or ice in the ice machines -- not to mention the contact high i got walking back and forth to the ice machine to find out-- which blew nicely from someone's room into mine through the vent.

This is our second stay, 2nd yr on a row for quick trips to Florida and staying here on the way north (back home). Just off of 95. We travelled with our dogs and it’s convenient to take them in and out quickly. The rooms have been clean and spacious, and the staff is friendly. The only complaint is the breakfast, just sweets, but for the price is okay.

I was greeted nicely by the lady & gentleman at front desk. Check-in was seamless & the room is decent for a nights sleep on our road trip. Love that it’s pet friendly so our fur baby can be with us.

I was skeptical because the building was run down looking but….The lobby was clean. The woman that checked us in was fantastic. Our room wasn’t quite ready because we were early so she and another woman both worked on the room and had it done in just a few minutes. The room was clean. The bed was more girl that I like but we really only needed a place to sleep for the night. If by some chance we are ever in Dillon again, I would stay again.

The man who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The positives end there. Our two rooms were labeled non-smoking, but one was clearly a smoking room. The smoked-in room AC/heat unit was visibly broken with parts falling off of it, and the cooling feature, though set on the coldest setting, did not sufficiently cool the room. In both rooms the vinyl flooring was so dirty our children’s feet were black after just an hour. The shower was not cleaned, with clumps of hair in the drain, and it was questionable whether the sheets were dirty or just stained. The breakfast was barely there. They did have waffles to make yourself, small cereal dispensers with four choices. There was bread provided in an enclosed case. One or two apples were in a three-tiered fruit basket, but two of the tiers were empty. There were no employees present to even ask for supplies. I had to find plates for our family by looking under the cabinets. There was a sign indicating there was milk in the “refrigerator”- a mostly-empty full size coca cola cooler around the corner. It had one styrofoam cup of something that looked like maybe chocolate milk, and two gallon-jugs with less than an inch of milk left. No creamer, no juice, no water offered as beverages. There were no napkins. All areas of the property had visibly broken AC units coming off the walls, damage to the outside. The ice machine was broken. Hard to tell if struggling to make ends meet is the cause or the result of the disrepair.

The room had blood on the floor. There was mold next to the bed on the wall. The front desk lady was sitting on a chair and watching tv on her phone and never acknowledged that I was standing there. Didnt go to breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. First off the room key lock was broken so the front desk person had to open the room for us, no way to leave and come back without getting the front desk to reopen the room. The room smelled old and stale, the shower didnt work but leaked heavily all night. There were bugs in the room and found on the bed as well. The tv was broken with lines running thru the screen. Overall the worst place ive ever paid to stay. The front desk person was very nice.

If i could give Zero stars they would be negative! This hotel is absolutely deplorable! We were on a road trip from Virginia and checked in about 1145 pm. To start with: when we checked in we were lead to believe that we were going to our deluxe king room only to get to the door and be met with a double bed room. Went back to the front office and they acted like we didn't reserve that room, yet when I pulled up my email confirmation magically they had 1 king room left. We get to the room ( room 160) and very obvious and questionable stains on the walls, door, and floors (the floors had duct tape on it). At this point we are so tired that we just want to sleep. Yet before we can even lay down we see 1 roach and kill it. By the time we shower and attempt to go to sleep we have killed 5 more. We still attempted to sleep (I know completely stupid, like non melonated people in a scary movie stupid). We laid down for about 30 minutes and our travel companions woke us up to say there was bed bugs in their room ( room 132). We turned the lights back on and literally all we saw was bugs scatter. By the time we walked out that room, between the 2 of us, we killed atleast 20 roaches of all sizes. We go to the office, inform them of what happened, and requested a refund. The night manger told his female staff member to go check the room, which of course she does. While she goes to room 160, he literally leaves the office and walks down the sidewalk to the back of the hotel.....leaving us

The only reason i have this one star instead of zero is the front desk cleak was bery nice. Let me say this...COCKROACHES...EVERYWHERE. BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Room was very old and that normally wouldnt bother me but added to the roaches, sticky floors and holes in the bathroom baseboards, this place is a hard pass!

Very loud and sketchy area. The bed looked like the sheets had not been changed after their last guest. There was a cockroach in my bed sheets that crawled in my leg within the first minute of getting in. The phone did not work, nor did the alarm clock. I only continued my stay because I was dropped off after midnight and had no place else to go and no transportation to leave. This hotel freaked me out totally. I slept with one eye open all night. It was super scary for a single woman. Just say no.

Couldn’t get a handicap room, no ramp to get on sidewalk. Need to have at least standard toilets. I’m sorry but I’m not sure of recommending. Have always been pleased with Red Roof Inns in past, not this time.

The motel was empty when I arrived 40 minutes early. They said I’d have to pay $35 to check in early. That’s never been the case anywhere else I’ve stayed. Lobby stank of cigarettes. Bathtub in room was cracked, and shower curtain rod needs repair so you can shut the curtain. Staff not welcoming

Motel was clean but so dated. Furnishings were fine but fixtures, toilet , walls etc need redoing. When checking out , mentioned toilet needed adjusting bc was really wobbly. Beds were very comfortable however.

The property was convenient, clean, and I was able to spend a restful night. The manager, Sagar, went to great lengths to locate me after departure because I forgot a piece of luggage. I was very grateful.

They didn’t give us a key they had to unlock it for us. The ice machine didn’t work. We ran out of hot water. They won’t answer the phone before check-in or after checkout. Impossible get in touch with.

This place is horrific! My room had to be changed 4 times before i gave up and left. An absolute nightmare!!! I was about to give the staff a few stars because they were nice. But as i was typing this, Expedia rejoined my customer service call and told me the hotel staff denied my refund. Absolutely un-f**king- believable!!! How can you charge someone for completely, undeniably, unacceptable conditions!? They had to move me 4 times! I would have had better accommodations had i spent the night in jail!! Unless you're a f**king crack head, DO NOT stay here!!! The entire area is pretty shady. My fault for not knowing the area - heading home to MD from south FL. Took a chance after 11 hours on the road, and i literally paid for it! F**K this place and everyone who works there!!!

My initial service experience was positive-- they were having an issue with the credit card machine but let me take my room (which was clean) anyway and would call me when the machine was up so I could pay. No, I would not let them copy my credit card as requested because I thought that sounded shady. Flash Forward 8 hours later. If they called my phone to tell me the machine was up, I didn't recognize it-- but they had no hesitation walking into my room at 11:15 at night. " Oh there's someone in it !" closing the door back, frightening my family, and waking my husband. We settled up 15 minutes later in the office, but I still think that should have been handled either earlier in the day or early the next morning since he already had my ID. And maybe I'm used to a different kind of service, but the room was not cleaned and the towels not changed while we were gone during the day. Our room keys even had to be 'redone' daily because I guess they didn't think we were staying all three days. Clean eating area, but weak 'continental breakfast '. No food in the vending machines or ice in the ice machines -- not to mention the contact high i got walking back and forth to the ice machine to find out-- which blew nicely from someone's room into mine through the vent.

Worst experience ever! We booked this motel online and arrived at 2 am to get some much-needed rest. We were unable to get into the room because their electronic key did not work in either the first room or the second. The girl at the front desk tried to let us in herself but couldn't get the key to work. After that, she was unable to refund us, saying, “If you cannot open the door who's problem is that?!” Well, Red Roof Inn, that's YOUR problem, because from now on we'll never set foot under your Rude Roof.

The breakfast they claim to have is self made waffles and or cereal but no milk. The staff seems as if they are bothered if you ask for anything. My specific room needed a new key activated each day and on the last day the lock didn’t work at all and I was unable to get in. Took 30min for the employee to walk 50 ft to unlock it with a key.

I was skeptical because the building was run down looking but….The lobby was clean. The woman that checked us in was fantastic. Our room wasn’t quite ready because we were early so she and another woman both worked on the room and had it done in just a few minutes. The room was clean. The bed was more girl that I like but we really only needed a place to sleep for the night. If by some chance we are ever in Dillon again, I would stay again.

There was a cockroach in my bed sheets that crawled in my leg within the first minute of getting in. The phone did not work, nor did the alarm clock. I only continued my stay because I was dropped off after midnight and had no place else to go and no transportation to leave. This hotel freaked me out totally. I slept with one eye open all night. It was super scary for a single woman. Just say no.

I stayed here overnight while driving from Florida back to New Jersey. Front desk was very polite with a little southern charm. Red Roof sometimes has a bad rap for being in problematic spots or run down areas. This location was very clean and overall it was much better than I expected for the price range. I would definitely stay here again. Some down sides, the roadway is busy and you can hear a train in the distance. But, with the AC going it helps eliminate background noises.

The rooms floors were black dirty. We laid a town on the floor for our cooler and when we loaded the cooler to.the car the towel on the bottom was black with dirt! The air conditioner was banging so loud I reported it to no one coming to see or check it. The breakfast was a joke no toast no bagels no cream cheese no butter and no napkins the coffee was empty and the man at the desk never changed anything neither did the girl the previous day. Bugs crawling on the floor, security latch broken off the door, burn holes in the blankets, paint missing on door, and ac unit falling apart, guess the saying you get what you pay for is true. Can't expect much when it is the cheapest in Dillon. Staff was nice and helpful, but that is the only good thing I can say about the place.
