Motel 6-Prescott, AZ

This is my first time staying at this hotel 6. I have good and bad things to say. Bad things first. A LOT OF PEOPLE smoke on this property. I think one side is smoking and the other non smoking (im guessing) but we can smell the smoke all around. I have kids so this was a bummer. There is no mini fridge/microwave/iron/ironboard nor drawers or closet for clothes. just a few attached hangers. No coffee machine in the room either. That was also a bummer. No continental breakfast. Not the cleanest and AC works but very dirty. The shower wasn't that bad but its small that the curtain always gets super wet so floor gets very wet as well. Positive things, Pool was good it looks like its maintained well. Beds were comfy and sheets were clean. They have a flat screen TV. Clean towels. Ice machine and vending machine available. One washer and 3 dryers. Friendly staff. Overall if i was alone with my husband on a short 1-2 day trip i wouldn't mind it but for a long trip or with the kiddos i wouldn’t stay here again. HOPE THIS HELPED!

The parking was really odd but the location staff and services were excellent

Inexpensive, which was the primary consideration on this particular trip. Much cleaner than most motels in the same price range. Noisy on the second floor because people have no choice but to walk within inches of your window... but its a motel, no surprises. Pool was clean.

Clean,updated ,simple,affordable, perfect if yiu just need a place to relax and dont require all of the bells and whistles. I just needed a quiet place to sleep for the night as im working here in Prescott from Phoenix. Has a heated outdoor pool as well.

As always, amazing! Kids love the pool too, it's heated.

The reception clerk didn't know what the prices were, or how to work the web check in machine. I was very specific that I needed a first floor room and parking immediately in front of the window of that room but when we got there they did not have any rooms that fit that description at all. If I had known I could have booked a motel where they did have that for about the same price! There were no amenities at all. Not enough towels, no shampoo, no hairdryer etc. The pool was not in operation even though it was hot. Place is a pit!!!

The room was adequate. It was ready for a one person stay with only one pillow so we asked for another and that wasn't a problem. Check in process was great. Front desk person was very friendly and personable. We thought that the pool would be open and heated but that was okay since we ended up staying out later at an event so it didn't matter.

They ask for ID of your other guests. Why do they need to do that? no elevator, bad if you have a lot of luggage. Shower water pressure very low, intentional.

For a first time visitor it was a bit hard to get to because of the street patrons, but that is not the hotel's fault. The room was bit small with both beds right up against each wall and right next to the heating/air unit. it did hve a refrigerator but no frezer unit but worked ok otherwise. It was clean but does need a bit of tender loving care as it is a bit old. Staff was very nice. Pool definitely needs to be cleaned and refurbrished but I am assuming they will do that as summer approached. .

Checked in, charged twice. Told assistant manager, was told it didnt get charged and to check back adter thebprocess went through. Bed sheets had stains, floors were dirty. Shower and bathroom werent in good condition.

It was a good place to stay. Just a little old and dirty. I had multiple spiderwebs in my room and someone had left me a surprise in the bathroom upon arrival and it didn’t smell the best.

This was the worst motel I have ever encountered. We booked this place with three other couples, thinking it would be decent since it’s close to downtown Prescott. While it is within walking distance, that was the only positive. From the moment we arrived, things went downhill. Every couple had issues getting into their rooms — the doors literally would not open. The front desk employee couldn’t even access some of the rooms with his universal key. Because of this, 2 out of 4 couples had to be moved to different rooms, which was frustrating and time-consuming. The rooms were absolutely disgusting. The smell was unbearable — like extreme body odor mixed with cat urine. It felt neglected, unclean, and completely unsanitary. I also did not feel safe at all. The front desk attendant gave off extremely uncomfortable, unsafe vibes, to the point that I was genuinely concerned about privacy while staying there. Overall, the environment was unsettling and not somewhere anyone should feel comfortable staying. Do not stay here unless you truly do not care about cleanliness, safety, or your surroundings. Walking distance to downtown is not worth this experience.

no maid service for the entire stay!!! one towel for three people foe a three night stay! no TP room keys only work for one day every night er had to get new keys!

We didn’t even stay cause of how nasty the room was. I reserved a non smoking room but they gave me a smoking room. When I walked in it smelt horrible the walls were yellow and there was roaches crawling on the floor and underneath the door. I left and wasn’t refunded my money. I will never go there again. The only good thing was the front desk employee she was super nice and helpful. But I would not recommend going here at all.

I don't like writing bad reviews but that room was disgusting. Filthy floors in the bathroom, bugs, stained sheets, smoking burns in the blanket. Never never go there.

Check in desk had a horrible weird smell. There was a hair on the pillow, streak of idk what on the sheets. Hair on the sink. Roach in bathroom. Pool towels were navy blue but had stains, like it came from a garage.

The room was fine. Everything was clean for the age and price of the hotel. Not sure why I had to sign stating that I wouldn’t be smoking in the room when it literally smelled like the room had stale cigarettes used as air fresheners. Luckily neither my son or I have any asthma or respiratory issues. It was so bad the clothes we slept in took the smell home.

Never again, will we ever stay at a motel 6 because of this place in Prescott, AZ what a peace of work. Room was not clean, room refrigerator did not work, TV did not work, just a terrible place to stay. Would like our money back for this dump.

Lights doesn't work in the bathroom, lightbulb was missing, no microwave or a little fridge. Getting the extras is more. Other motels I've been to for the same price or lower had all of these extras. So yea, conditions were disappointing.

Old rooms poorly maintained. Burn holes in the bedding and all the furniture was damaged in some way. The mattress was well beyond its lifespan and made for a very uncomfortable night of rest.

The room was the size of a closet the fridge was broken andwe saw around 8 cockroaches. The staff where not helpfull. It took amost a half hour to get checked in the lady had no idea how to do it she had to get on the phone with her boss to figure it out. I would not recommend this pace at all.

Sink drain did not drain properly, no refrigerator, toilet made noise after flushing.

This is a bare bones hotel. Don't expect extras of any sort. But if you need an inexpensive place to sleep, then this is it. It's a little old but is clean. The AC knobs were only partly functional but we kept plenty cool in July. The room was small to the point one bed was right against the AC. But again, on a holiday weekend, this facility kept their rates down.

I had to wipe the floor; there was some stain on it. The air conditioner panel was all broken up. I didn't take a picture of that one but it looked ugly; I did take a picture of the floor. The two beds were "crammed" in the room.

While the hotel was sufficient since we only slept there and didn’t spend any significant time in the room or on the property there were several things that caused me to not consider this hotel again. The person who checked us in assured us and the friend we were traveling with that our rooms had an adjoining door. This was incorrect. False information. The room seemed good when we first walked in but upon further inspection not so great. The front of the bathroom door looks like it’s been patched up and the back of the door looks like it’s been kicked in. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. It took way longer than usual to rinse out my shampoo and conditioner. The shower dial cover was loose and broke . The sink had a large crack in it that could easily be sealed up. There were holes in my sheet. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable that I wasn’t able to sleep. There was also a very unsettling man wandering around making myself and my daughter very uncomfortable.

Several things went wrong: 1) my keys didn't work and I had to go back to the office to get them activated, 2) the smoke detector went off (needed battery to be changed), staff couldn't fix it. I appreciated that they gave me another room.

The front desk lady was patient and friendly. I had left my room came back I couldn't open my room. even though it was lighting up green. front desk came to help she had a hard opening the room till finally it open. I told her I didn't have plans to leave the rest of the night. I stay with my 10yr old. around 1am I woke up I was really cold. I try to turn the heater it didn't turn on I gave my blanket to my son. I just put a sweater on my feet hardly slept. when I was ready to leave I couldn't open the door to get out. after the 4th time I was able to open the door to get out of the room. only stay 1 night it was room #221. I let the man at the front desk know about the issues with door and heater unit.

Good place to stay with pets, staffs are very nice. Definitely recommend people who have pets and want quiet places.

Arrived around 11 pm. Went to the window to be greeted by a not so friendly person whom looked to be on drugs. She was borderline rude in her communication with me. She got me checked into a room but the door would not open. I went back to the front and she seemed annoyed. She asked me if I was at the right room. She then gave me a new room. All of this seemed to bother her. I got checked I to that room. Upon walking in I noticed the smoke detector had a bag over it and there were yellow stains next to it on the ceiling. The light on the shower didn’t work and the shower dropped all night (loudly). Every time the toilet was flushed it made terribly loud noises in the pipes. The heater didn’t work either. It got chilly at night and I needed to warm up but it did not do anything. However the ac worked well.

Everything was great. They let me check in early when I got to that area for a rodeo.

The staff was rude and not helpful especially the manager. The check in process was a nightmare and I was not explained everything up front and the date got changed on my reservation by the staff so the checkout time changed and I had no idea. Then was given a room that already had guests staying in there. Then to get a call the next morning from the manager saying she will call the cops if we didn’t check out right then. It was a horrible experience for no reason and to be treated that was when I was not explained all the details was uncalled for. I didn’t cause any problems while I was there and if I had known the details I would have never paid $112 to stay at a place like that for only 7 hours. I wasn’t even given a full days stay there. Definitely would never do this type of booking or stay there again. 👎👎

Our stay was great. Checking in and out was easy, found parking close by our room. It was a busy Memorial Day weekend but everything was smooth and reception was very kind.

sketchy. Staff were super nice and helpful, its the clientel. There is a lot of hanging out in the parking lot at night, didn't feel safe going out on my own at night.

My family and I stayed here for 2 days. Loved how easy it was to get to downtown from it. The walk to whisky row was like 10 minutes and the motel is a straight shot to it. Rooms were comfortable/simple and exactly what we needed for outlr short stay. Staff was super friendly and very welcoming. Affordable, comfortable, convenient. Highly recommend this hotel for people who like simplicity and to get out doors

Nice Motel 6. Would stay again. Short walk to Whiskey Row (~15 minutes).

I liked the cost, it was HUNDREDS (summer weekend rates) per night less than Whiskey Row hotels and only a mile away. Very basic, clean, but noisy hotel.

Teens felt uncomfortable about motel and neighborhood

Staff was polite and kind. There were a lot of what appeared to be homeless people staying at the property; a rough crowd.

Quiet good people an very convenient great dining options

Dirtiest I have ever seen, no coffee in room.

No glasses for water. No coffee. No nearby restaurant.Rude morning guy. Beds were against the wall. Parking and access were limited.

You get what you pay for. It was a cheap place to stay. Bring your own shampoo as they do not provide any extra's, no microwave, no coffee in the room. Small TV.
