Elevators are working like an old ford pick up, one day the one side works the next day the other. Cooler in the room is just for display purposes it doesn’t cool even by European standards and I have been here in this hotel before (the last time was last year).

The rooms have been recently updated. We stayed in room 503. Very clean, newly remodeled, with view of a buildings roof line. The convenient “included breakfast” had a good selection of options ,such as precooked scrabbled eggs, a machine to boil eggs, another to make small pancakes and self serve automatic coffee machine with lattes, cappuccinos etc. it also had salads, fruit, cereal and cold cut meats. It is within walkable distance to Old Town Nice and shopping areas. The staff were very helpful. CONS: I had booked it because they advertised with parking available, but when I showed up they said I had a big van and it would not fit on their parking and recommend to park at Parking Meyerbeer, which is around the block from the hotel but had to pay €42 daily rate.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is ideal. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had a great meal in the restaurant and enjoyed the view. Some services like the bar and conseirge were understaffed. The rooms are small and dated but comfortable. The location definitely trumps everything else. We would stay again.

The view was absolutely incredible, but was one of the only selling points. The hotel is old and in need of a serious renovation. There was black mold in the shower, and when we arrived the, air conditioning wouldn't work. We were told it had been switched over, even though it was still in the high 70s in the two weeks prior. The hallways and reception areas were still air conditioned however. It would have been nice to have some sort of notification that there was no AC. The breakfast was pretty good for a hotel.

This a beautiful historic property located directly on the Promenades des Anglais. Our room was exactly what we had requested. It was a spacious renovated room with a full ocean view and balcony. The bathroom was light and modern with ample storage space. The room was spotless. The front desk staff were very pleasant and accomodating. We unfortunately did not have time to try any of the dining options in the hotel. We would stay here again.

Extremely disappointed in the quality of this hotel, considering it was the most expensive lodging of our entire trip. Black mold in the bathroom and carpet improperly installed resulting in most doors unable to open/close. Creaky staircase and stuffy decor throughout, avoid at all costs

We liked the hotel but the room wasn’t cleaned every day and amenities not restocked. There were loud kids in the room beside us but the hotel did resolve this when we talked to them. Location was great and so was breakfast. Also you couldn’t beat the sea view room!

Great location. An older hotel with character. Although we knew that the location would be busy as on main esplanade did not expect to be affected by the noise as much as we were. Assumed doors would be soundproofed better especially as our floor is a newer addition. We had a lovely room on top floor with balcony and beautiful views of the sea however the nighttime traffic noise was not great. Especially as our room was dual aspect so potentially noise worse! The lack of sleep due to this is why we rated this a 3.

Friendly and accommodating staff were all amazing. Breakfast was convenient and had a great selection. Only complaint was the lack of air conditioning due to seasonal restrictions. When we opened the windows for ventilation the street noise was excessive, which we partially mitigated by moving to a room on a higher floor

Quite an exceptional, historic, hotel, right on the seafront. It is a short walk to the main train station and to the old town. There are many, many restaurants and eateries close by, and if you want an on the go snack, there are good supermarkets too We were very impressed by our room - on two levels - which had a beautiful view of the sea from the large windows and small bathroom. Everywhere was very modern, even though the hotel was a real classic. From the usb ports by the bed, to the waterfall shower, we loved the combination of old-world charm and modern convenience. We ate breakfast in the garden daily, overlooking the sea. It was delicious, varied and plentiful. Who wouldn't want hot chocolate, croissants, and fresh fruit salad or bacon, eggs, hash browns and beans, everyday? There was also an excellent selection of cheese, meat, fish, eggs and pancakes as well as a cornucopia of pastries. It was a real delight. The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially the woman from housekeeping who popped by to see if we needed anything each evening. I will definitely will stay here the next time ai am in Nice; it was exceptional.

The staff was very attentive to our needs from the first to the last interaction. We came in early with lots of luggage, they took care of storing it while the room was getting cleaned up. They let us enjoy the breakfast buffet even though it was almost 11am and they were ready to close. The staff was very friendly and understanding. We enjoyed an early check-in at 12:30pm and the room was fabulous on the highest floor, with an amazing sea view and a large balcony. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Le Siecle. They took care of ordering a taxi for us the next day. Overall an excellent experience.

Don’t know how this hotel is a four-star hotel. Molds in bathroom’s curtain and soap holder. Security chain on the door is broken. Their staff would rather stand around than helping with suitcases. Would not stay again and caution to other travelers if the unacceptable conditions of this hotel.

It was in the heart of Nice on the Promenade des Anglais and was priced accordingly. I have traveled considerably and found the staff unhelpful. I had thought I had paid for my entire stay only to be asked to pay an extra tax 27.84 Euros that was deducted from the 400 Euros they held for possible extra fees. I do not like surprises in bills.

This is our second stay at the Hotel West End. First time was Jan 2023, this time Feb 2024, and both times we were really impressed by everything about this hotel. First: location is perfect. Right in the middle of the Promenad des Anglais, the waterfront walkway that stretches from the airport to the Colline du Chateau. That makes everything within easy walking distance, chic shopping district & atmosphric Old Town, Port Lympia's yacht marina, museums, endless cafes, restaurants. Second the rooms are tastefully done with N American style beds & bedding (so comfortable) deep soaker tubs we loved. We got an upgrade to a full Med view: how lovely! The staff could not be nicer. Wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who greeted us on arrival & took care of all our requests (I think an Italian-type first name, Silvio perhaps?) He was genuinely warmly welcoming, was happy to honor our Expedia Gold upgrade, and made us feel right "at home" letting us know everything the hotel had to ofer. The buffet breakfast is outstanding: lots of choice so no matter your dietary preferences, you're covered! I personally love the salmon, fresh fruit, wonderful baked goods and honeycomb - but my husband's breakfast was 180 degrees different & he was equally happy. Our second visit won't be our last - one of our favorite hotels in France.

Location and breakfast are 5 star but the rooms need some work. We've stayed here a few times and it's luck of the draw what kind of room you get. This last time we got a remodeled room with a horrible layout. Shower was up a steep upstairs, toilet was down stairs. The previous stay was an old room with cracked tiles on the bathroom. With this Location, the hotel has a lot of potential but needs some TLC. In addition, we asked for an early wakeup call and a driver for an early morning flight with the concierge and even double checked with her before retiring at night. We got NO wakeup call and it wasn't even registered with the front desk! We were lucky to catch the flight.

Die Lage des Hotels ist Top! Wir hatten die Junior Suite mit Meerblick - einfach eine Traum Aussicht! Direkt an der Promande de Anglais. Das Früchstück war sehr gut aber auch in der Umgebung gibt es tolle Bistros. Das Hotel ist hundefreundlich. Die Altstadt ist wenige 100 Meter entfernt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

The hotel is lovely in a fantastic location. So easy for the airport tram, 15 min walk to main plaza, restaurants area etc. 20 mins walk to main train station max or a short bus ride. Beautiful hotel in old style with open views across the Riviera. Staff were very helpful and super nice. Especially the breakfast staff who chatted away to us and always had a smile on their face despite some very rude guests who need to catch themselves on! Room was nice, we had classic room at the side on fourth floor. It did have a view of the sea as such but sadly they were doing some maintenance and after two days we had scaffold outside our window. But for all the time we spent in room during day it didn’t matter & nice to see hotel was being well maintained. The only criticism was the sealant around bath was a little tired with some mould and could do with replacing, room 404. Otherwise it was really nice. Lovely bed and maid was very efficient thank you. Breakfast was very tasty with a great selection. Croissants made in hotel were delicious. Overall it was very good value for money a lovely location and I would definitely come back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We chose this hotel because it markets itself as a premium luxury property, and at nearly €700 per night, our expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to either the description or the price point. One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of working WiFi in our room. Throughout our stay, we had to rely on mobile hotspots to stay connected, which is simply not acceptable at this level of hotel. We had also informed the hotel in advance that we were on our honeymoon. While I do not expect elaborate gifts or special treatment, a simple card, greeting, or a few flowers would have been a thoughtful gesture and is something many premium hotels provide for such occasions. The complete absence of any acknowledgement was disappointing. Another example of poor value was the refusal to refill a water bottle. When guests are paying €700 per night, charging for or refusing such a basic courtesy comes across as unnecessarily cheap and inconsistent with a luxury experience. In addition, check-in was delayed, which was frustrating after a long journey and did not create a great first impression. To be fair, the hotel itself was generally pleasant, and there was nothing fundamentally wrong with the stay. However, luxury hospitality is about attention to detail, service, and making guests feel genuinely cared for. Those elements were largely missing here.
