Very friendly welcome. Great staff. Firsr room had an issue -- staff immediately moved us and gave an upgrade. Rooftop restaurant good with excellent views of the city. Very close to lots of sites, restaurants, and public transportation. Highly recommend.

The breakfast is quite good. The rooftop deck (when accessible) is lovely. The staff were nice and spoke English well. The neighborhood around has some sketchy people, but is well populated and near to many things.

Das Mercure ist sehr zentral gelegen und für einen Porto-Aufenthalt bestens geeignet. Parken aber nur im öffentlichen Parkhaus. Frühstück und Zimmer sehr gut, auch gute Dach-Bar.

El personal, en general muy amable. La parte negativa del hotel fue en el Roof top porque la atención de los camareros fue pésima. Hasta tal punto de tener que levantarnos sin servirnos ya que no nos hacían caso alguno. ( En la terraza no caben muchas mesas y estaban 2 personas). Terminamos yendo fuera del hotel.

The parking was very limited, it indicated parking without pointing out it is very limited! Only 8 spots in their garage for the entire hotel. That being said there was parking available within a few blocks, for a charge. Otherwise a great hotel with a scenic rooftop bar.

Arrived early, the lady on reception was really nice and helpfull, we where able to check in early and also given an upgraded room. Room spotless, cleaned every day and had everything we required.

It is an amazing location, walking distance to pretty much everywhere. I wish the windows were bigger and (for a 4 star hotel) there was more attention to the cleaning specifically in the bathroom.

Equipe excelente no receptivo mas o hotel é bem fraquinho. Quarto minúsculo, banheiro horrível ( banheira desconfortável, não havia bancada para apoiar itens de higiene pessoal). A limpeza também deixou a desejar. Não recomendo.

The lobby doesn’t have the usual checkin counter. Look for someone sitting at a table with a laptop. Small but function able room. A bit dark. Comfy bed. Has hand soap and shower gel but no shampoo or conditioner. Great location. Would stay here again.

Great location. Very nice size family suite. Lovely staff. Only complaint was that they turn the AC off at 2am and it gets very hot and stuffy when you sleep. You can’t open the windows because it gets too loud. Walls must be thin because we could hear toddlers screaming early in the morning from a nearby room. I’d say it’s between 3-4 stars.

Great central location. Tasty buffet breakfast. Some rooms (mine was 527) are incredibly small with uncomfortable location of toilet in bathroom. But this is a minor issue overall unless you’re spending all day in your room

Great location! Nice lobby and restaurant. Pleasant surprise to see a basket with apples and refreshing water with lemon slices every day in the lobby. Welcoming, kind and friendly hotel staff. Nice clean room. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel!

The breakfast menu was outstanding! The room was clean The bartender was not friendly all 4 days we were there. The drinks were not good. The food for dinner in the restaurant was horrible. The beef was so tough and there were no steak knives. Cutting it with a butter knife was impossible. It ruined the signature sandwich Francesinha. The waiter did not handle it well only offering a small glass of Port. Daniela was very awesome with all our requests.

Stayed several nights, and the hotel could not be better. Extremely helpful staff, easy checkin and checkout, lovely bar on the roof, comfortable room. Restaurant on site, and our one dinner there was perfectly nice. Location is truly outstanding. We used the hotel parking, asked help with transportation bookings, and were totally satisfied. If I go back to Porto, Mercure it will be!

We had a terrible experience staying at this property. I booked 4 rooms and only 2 rooms were ready during the check-in time. We had to fight with them to get for late checkout the next day. My wife was sick and asked for water in the middle of the night and Manuel, who did the shift, was very rude to us. He was very rude to us when we asked for luggage storage the next day. Staff need to get trained on how to talk to customers.

3 fire alarms in the middle of the night, manager on duty did not even bothered to call fire department to have the system check, we have to call by ourself and telling us that we have to use our cellphone because we can not use the hotel phone to call fire department, instead he kept on telling all the guest that it was a “FALSE ALARM” and their solution is to mute the alarm and turn off the system. Terrible experience, manager and staff not being helpfull amd rude. Nice location hotel but bad experience regarding safety, stay away from this hotel..

Very good hotel, staff very friendly, very good breakfast, good choice, we also had a nice meal in the hotel, used the roof top bar great views and downstairs bar, room was good but could do with more coat hangers for wardrobe, also separate coat hooks for out door jackets. Close to the river and bridges, pedestrian shopping street close, bus stop outside the hotel, 2 metro stations quite close, good cafes and restaurants close by. Porto is very, very hilly,
