Seaside Inn Monterey

Very nice and clean room. Tight parking, glad I brought my smaller car.

Overall it was good , no problems , parking is a little tight

The office personal was absolutely the best. They were very polite, accommodating, professional, and courteous. The only thing I really didn’t like was the parking situation. They don’t have enough spaces for the numbers of rooms they have. I came back one evening after midnight to find that there were no spots available for me to park. I was about to sleep in my car that night when I decided to call the office from my car because I didn’t feel safe having to possibly sleep in my car. I felt bad because it was after midnight and I had to wake her up. She came out and had to have a person that was NOT a guest move her car. The parking lot is very small and it’s a tight squeeze. It would be nice if they had an exit at the other end of the property. Sad to say, but for this reason and this reason alone, I can not recommend this place and I will not be staying here again.

Need to arrive early for good parking. Or take small car. Or use Uber I will be back as soon as I can.

Beach is walkable from property. A lot of dining options around. Though room is small but clean. There is available microwave and refrigerator in descent size. Parking is quite tight too.

Typical motel,chipped paint and furniture, carpet looked unclean. Bathroom was pretty good, updated fairly recently. Really bad parking situation.We went out in the evening and had to park on the street out of view.

Parking is tight for large trucks. Pretty quiet and safe. Ask for receipt.

There was hair all over one of the beds. The other bedspread had stains on it. There's not even close to enough parking for all of the rooms.

The Seaside Inn is centrally located in Seaside, CA about 15 minutes from downtown Monterey and about 20 minutes from Pebble Beach and 17 Mile Drive. the Inn is a moderately priced motel with about 18 rooms. It is clean and the staff is mostly accommodating. The rooms are not large, in fact my room was pretty cramped but really worked for me, as I was only looking for a bed and bathroom for two nights. Hotels in the Monterey area have risen sharply in price, so definitely plan in advance as you might be able to find very affordable lodging

No frills motel in Monteray. Room was basic but clean & failry comfortable & well setup with good wifi. nothing to complain about for cost/package. Not so close to a seaside. Plenty food outlets nearby. Also Costco very close & smallish mall nearby. Staff try tio be helpful & attentive. typical american room vaction required @ 11am . Cigarette burns on upper bedsheet surprising fpr a non smoking setup?. I would stay again

The property is older but clean. Rooms are a little outdated and clutter with a lot of furniture. The room did the job for spending the night. It was comfortable and safe. The primary reason we chose this hotel was because of price. Driving distance from Monterrey and Carmel by the Sea where we wanted to be for the evening. The staff REALLY friendly.

Stayed two days. It's a safe area. They did a good job cleaning. Staff was very nice. Pricing was reasonable although much cheaper Monday thru Thursday. The rate on Friday went from $82 (M-Th) to $132. Interior was just too outdated for my taste. I probably would spend a more next time for a more modern hotel. But if you're on a budget, this is okay.

This motel is compact, from the parking spaces to the room size, but it is clean and tidy and has everything you want in a room except for a desk, but it has a table that will work in it's absence. It even has a modern sink mirror that has extra brightness built into it for those close up face details. There are only 2 drawers for folded clothing in the TV bureau, so not the best if you are a couple staying more than a week. But otherwise cutely inexpensive! The Sand City Big Box mall is a couple of blocks away, with some eateries and shopping options like Target, Ross, Starbucks, Costco, and CostPlus World Market is next door, and Panda Express is a 1 minute walk away. There are other eateries 5 minutes drive like Ichi Riki (Japanese), Jose's (Mexican), Gusto's (Italian), I would recommend all of these as I have been to them and they are good.

Thin walls. Very tiny narrow parking lot. Decent for just being used to sleep, but wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff was very friendly. Check-in went great. The room was adequate for one night. The rooms are very small. Conveniently located near the beach. Very few amenities.

Owners were nice. Room was clean and newly remodeled. Close to target, Costco, and other groceries stores. Would stay there again.

Great comfy room. Great price with friendly staff. You could hear the upstairs guest’s footsteps since it’s an older building, so recommend a top floor room.

Do not stay in room 111. The TV in the bedroom does not work. The attendant on duty did not attempt to assist at all. This was my first and last time staying at the Seaside Inn. Customers are not appreciated. 06-10-2025

The owners here were awesome great tips for local restaurants and very hospitable. We were out all day and was nice to come back to very clean room

The man at the desk was rude and impatient. The rest was ok.

My wife and I visit this place regularly because of safety and the care we get from the staff. We tried another place a few years ago and it was awful; we had to leave at 2 AM..! Seaside Inn will continue to be our preferred stay place.

We have stayed at the Seaside Inn a few times in the past, but a couple of incidents this last time bumped it off the list of places we will spend money for. The first incident occured at midnight out first night when a stranger walked into our room. The motel had given him a keycard to our room. This could have ended far worse than it did as I am prone to vigerously protecting my family. When my keycard did not work in the morning I woke the manager who did not seem to care about this late night incident and just gave me a new key card. Later that day they called me as they had no idea which room they had me registered in.Even though this was the third time I reinterated our room and asked they log it. The second incident was at 9:30 am on the day we were to check out. (checkout is 11am). We left for a beach event at 7am and put a do not disturb sign on the door. When we returned to at 9:30am to quickly shower and check out our door was open the beds were stripped and the towels were gone. We collected our belongings (which should have given the maid service the idea we were coming back) again we had an hour and a half before the 11am checkout. No shower, room stripped before we even checked out, strangers with keycards walking in while we sleep. Yes not near what one would expect. Sorry to say the Seaside inn is off our list.

Was very impressed for the price although small room it’s all I needed and was very easy and the staff was friendly. I was also happy to find parking because it was very busy.

Stayed here super last minute due to the rain being so bad, we didn’t want to drive home. Booked and showed up within 5 minutes and they were EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING. Very homey feel to the staff. It’s outdated and basic but perfect for what we needed which was a hot shower, and a comfy warm bed. The price was unbeatable as well for the rating it has. Definitely will stay here again.

The person at check-in did not find my Expedia reservation. She was not very friendly or nice about it.

This property is clean and quiet. It is conveniently located to everything with a reasonable price compared to other hotels in the area.

Very clean, the grounds are kept us nice, housekeeping was there every day ( no questions asked) Very close to beautiful beach, shopping and restaurants. Two issues- parking is limited and tight and there are tons of homeless people around hotel. We were never bothered once by them but they are there. Would stay here again

Nice and centrally located from the college to downtown

The hotel is very nice and very well maintained. There are enough parking spaces. My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located very close to Monterey and all the attractions. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s located at a safe location. I highly recommend it. Next we are in the Monterey area we will stay here.

It was very nice and very convenient it was close to the beach and shopping centers and it was quiet unless occasionally a loud car passed by.
