Very clean and well kept. Staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast is snack cakes and granola bars. BUT they have a discount for the restaurant right across from them. Definitely a great place to stay!

The property was clean. Didn’t realize there was no elevator on the property. I should’ve requested a room on the first floor, since I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and it’s difficult to climb stairs. The pool and hot tub were great. We had breakfast @ the Perkins Restaurant across from the hotel.

A fare price for a decent hotel. Very clean, great for staying while enjoying the wonderful outdoors beauty of the area. Did not spend much time in the hotel but it was very clean. No elevator or working hot tub. If you don’t care about those things then it’s a great place to stay

Didn’t like that the bath faucet was running the whole stay. Needs a new faucet for the tub and shower. The room smelled like liquor, definitely needed the carpets cleaned before occupancy!

The place was ok. No microwaves in rooms. As far as cleanliness, hair on and in tub/shower, stains on bedding add debris on the floor. Looked liked they don't clean very well. As for check in, don't go early. We were turned away. We were an hour early because we didn't realize the one hour time change, and were told to come back at 3. I was also charged an extra 5 bucks for fees because I booked through Expedia, they said.

We booked 2 rooms. One room had a revolting smell as soon as we walked in. We opened the window and turned on the extractor but it made no difference. After 10 minutes we went back to reception, the member of staff came up and immediately agreed that the smell was awful. He gave us a different room but there was no apology, in fact the only comment he made was "it would have been easier if you had reported it as soon as you opened the door" (apparently 10 minutes was too long to wait!!). How the housekeeping staff managed to leave the room smelling like this indicates that they care little about cleanliness.

Staff was *amazing and *accommodating and worked to resolve an issue and the pool was decent. The hotel overall seems tired. Upon arrival, the room had hair in the sink. taped seams on the walls were breaking, toilet had crumbling caulk around the base, bathroom had obvious moisture issues on the walls. Breakfast is pretty much non-existent, so I wish I would've spent more at another hotel with a decent breakfast--probably would have been an upgrade overall.

The rooms smelled like smoke. There was mold growing in the showers. The water in the sink wouldn’t drain. Absolutely NOT 8.9 rating!!!

The stay met expectations. My TV didn't work, but they fixed it immediately. They gave me some breakfast a few minutes early since I had an early outing. Service was outstanding. The room itself was fine--AC worked well and appreciated the comfortable bed and black-out shades.

The staff was fine. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We liked that the backyard area had some seating and a nice view. At times, including late at night it was noisy outside our room, which is located too close to a common area where people congregate and don’t bother to keep their voices down. For anyone who is bothered by tight spaces, the bathroom consists of a very small enclosed space for toilet and shower; and oddly, the sink is separate, out in the open area, very close to the room’s entry door. Listing the hotel offering ‘breakfast included’ is a stretch. There was no eggs or meats, only kids cereals, pre-packaged sweet rolls, biscuits and gravy and poor quality bread to make toast. Luckily, there’s a restaurant across from the parking lot. And one final note, it would be nice if someone watered, fed and pruned the potted plant outside the entrance. It looks extremely neglected.

The hotel itself was more or less fine for a night, but the rooms are a bit outdated, not very spacious, no hooks to hang anything, and could have been a bit cleaner. My bed was also way too soft and sagged in the middle, so I had a terrible sleep. The pool area was really nice, but the temperature was way too warm and not refreshing at all. However, there was a beautiful patio area off the pool to relax and watch the sunset that made up for it. Overall was just 'OK' but could be improved, and should cost about 30% less per night.

Nice place to stay with easy access to interstate and downtown. Breakfast isnt great but for the price, not terrible. Parking lot lights are bright into the rooms and blackout curtains do nothing. Sinks are not in bathroom so that was hard to get ready with sleeping kids. Logan was great and helpful.

Overall a good experience—just thought it was curious that our adjoining rooms had such different mattresses and bedding — one room had hard uncomfortable mattresses and scratchy blankets and the other had comfy, pilllowtop mattresses and soft blankets!!

The staff at the hotel were all incredibly kind, friendly, and professional! Overall, the hotel was very clean and we really liked the 24 hour coffee bar! Our only issue was connecting to Wi-Fi. Despite having the password, our devices would never connect. for the cost, we were very satisfied with our stay at the Travelodge!

Easy check in. Staff was super nice. There were a few bugs (not bed bugs) but understandable with the cooler temps coming up. We did let them know and they offered to move our room but we just let them know as a courtesy.

Very poor experience. Mould in the bathroom. Falsely represented number of sleepers; Confirmed for 5 people, but only two queens in the room. Was told “you can sleep three in a bed” by the unbelievably rude and unhelpful woman at the desk, as if this was a serious solution. Not offered any other solution. I haven’t had such a bad experience in quite a few years. Avoid.

Everything was great from front desk,breakfast, pool. Everyone there was great. Front desk manager showed us on a map the best places to hike and catch waterfalls. Had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Great place to stay.

After paying for our room in full through Expedia, including “taxes and fees,” we were charged an extra $2.00 “City Fee” at check-in, that showed up on my credit card as $4.00. We were informed that this went into some fund run by the city for advertising/marketing and that Expedia wouldn’t collect this for the hotel but that “all the hotels charge this fee.” The staff member checking us in was argumentative about this fee. Additionally, there was someone else’s lip balm on the floor behind the bathroom door, a dirty wash rag from a previous customer in the shower, and a black centipede-looking bug ran across the bathroom floor during our stay. The bed was comfortable. Glad we only stayed one short night as we passed through town.

Nice clean room in a convenient Spearfish location, less than a minute from the beinning of the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway. My only complaint is the lack of the elevator. Lugging our stuff up the stairs wasn't great.

Clean and comfortable, nothing special but no complaints once so ever. No breakfast though they will give you a coupon to the Perkins across the street but I would still suspect paying $35 for breakfast for 4 in the morning. Also they wanted an additional $2 city charge that Expedia didn’t charge not a big deal but they only place I encountered this at.

The hotel was warm and welcoming. It is a no frills - nice sleep hotel. There is not an exercise room but there were places to walk around the hotel. The breakfast was disappointing with prepackaged rolls and muffins and small juice containers. There were two choices of cereal a sugary one and a common adult type cereal but there was not any oatmeal although there was biscuits and gravy.

The location and cost were excellent. The bed was very comfortable but the room had a musty odor-we slept with the window open. We were too tired when we arrived to ask for a room switch, so that’s on us. Breakfast was not great. The coffee machine only dispensed cold coffee, the hot coffee was out of order. The hotel could have bought a cheap coffee maker until the machine got fixed. People went across the parking lot to Perkins for coffee.
