Great room and dining options. Good food and fun to have the casino attached. Located by other restaurants and sites to see. Very helpful staff. Great stay.

The property could use a refresh, but overall it was very good. Friendly staff. Great dining in hotel. Gym was bad because both treadmills were inoperable. Instead of using the treadmill, I walked the perimeter of the property many times and it was very pretty. There is a homeless problem in the area, so stay alert.

Parking was confusing. The layout was tough to navigate.

The actual room is fine. Good size, nice view, plenty on hot water and towels. The problem is the terrible layout. To exit the hotel to the main street you need to walk thru a parking garage with poor lighting and no pedestrian path. If I was a female, I wouldn't take the chance.

The only problem I had was the amount of walking I did just to get from room to casino - never mind anything else. Plus it’s very confusing how to get around at first. As far as the location of the hotel, the hospitality, the cleanliness, and having a couple of places to eat was great! If you have a hard time getting around because of joint problems like I do then be warned I was hurting.

Mold in the shower. Could be easily cleaned with bleach then resealed. Also, the main entrance doors were not working due to some construction/renovation but never saw anyone there working.

The hotel is nice. Check in was a mess. Very confusing where to go. Went to an event at the cross center and we had to go thru the casino to get on that side of the hotel. Set up could be better.

Stayed two nights to see family in the area. Room is comfy and the bed is tall ! Bathroom was clean and big. Got $5 credit for food which was nice. No pool. Shaws grocery store across street. Fridge in room was useful!

The staff was friendly and the covered parking was a plus. The room with a view to the river was excellent and worth the extra money. It would be nice if the hotel offered recycling in the rooms or at least on each floor.

The only draw back we experienced was my wife does not take elevators and the stairs were only accessible with security escort. So we had to wait long periods of time for someone to come take us to the bottom of the stairway to get to our room

The hotel borders an unsafe part of the waterfront near a railroad trestle. The back part of the building which faces the river and the parking garage are poorly lit. The elevators to the rooms didn’t have key card access, thus allowing anyone off the street access to all floors. Incredibly dangerous for guests. I was in a seventh floor “river view” room, and the view I had was of oil tanks and a run down pier. The hallways were functional but rugs are buckled and need to be replaced. My room was subpar. Functional, yet worn and shabby. The dresser was scratched up. Bathroom was dark and dingy. No towel hook for a hand towel. There wasn’t much water pressure, and the water itself cut off and on while in the shower. The bathroom sink soap is a pump bottle that must be used by guests from stay to stay. Have no idea if those bottles are cleaned. Gnarly, to say the least. I had a fridge, but no microwave, which defeated the purpose of the fridge. I had a room with two queen beds but was a single traveler. I got cold my first night and pulled the comforter from the extra bed. Turned out there was a hand towel under the comforter that was spread out over the side of the sheet and mattress. I lifted the towel up and it looked like there were coffee stains or maybe something else on the sheets. Absolutely disgusting. The saving grace here was the very kind staff. Overall, I was highly dissatisfied with the facility conditions. I did not feel safe. Wouldn’t stay again.

A spacious room with a very comfortable king sized bed. Pillows were nice. Excellent temp control with room thermostat - I kept my room quite cold and my sister kept her room very warm. Quiet hallways. Didn't prefer the onsite food but had a nice time with DoorDash. There were only a few issues I would like to note - when testing the fluffiness of the pillows, there was a long dark hair across the top of one of them. Not knowing whether it had been laundered, I did not use that pillow. Also, I had a bath in the evening and saw several thin, dark hairs in each far ledge of the bathtub. These would not be visible when just looking while standing outside the tub, but getting into the tub, these corners were dusty with hairs. It is standard practice to wipe the ledges of tub whether or not you see anything.

Rooms are clean and comfortable

Parking is easy, lobby is pretty but the carpets throughout were stained and ugly. The beds were horrible.

Rooms needed proper cleaning, there were leftover bottles of soda in our room on the floor. The heating system was confusing and full of dust. Front desk staff told us they couldn't get us an extra pillow on request, as they didn't have keys for housekeeping.

I had no hot water in the shower, I mentioned to the front desk, and they said it would be fixed, it was not. At night the smell of marijuana coming through the vents was disgusting and not being to crack the window was upsetting. The entire building INCLUDING

Public areas are neat and tidy. Our room wasn’t anything special. This was our first time staying there. Honestly, other hotels have better amenities than this one. One USB port to charge phones isn’t enough. It seems like corners are cut when it comes to cleaning the bathroom. The hotel has been there for a while, but I wouldn’t expect The Fairfield Inn to outshine them, but they do. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Not too keen on having to pay $10 for WiFi access- although they provide a $5 food voucher. For a casino hotel, I wasn’t really impressed.

Not able to control air conditioning from room. Had to transfer three times to new rooms where air worked. Rooms very damp, carpet felt wet.

A very nice hotel especially convenient for concerts. Nothing against the place, but I have a hard time sleeping in hotel rooms that don’t have HVAC systems that you are able to keep in he fan on constantly. Cycling on and off all night drives me nuts and I end up with terrible sleep (I often will pack a fan just in case, but I forgot this time) lesson learned. Also, the pillow top beds may be nice for some but they are way too soft for me. Again, everything was clean and nice, but just not great for me.

Room was spacious, clean, quiet. Bed was comfortable. Casino/common areas could use an upgrade.

The only thing that was frustrating was that there’s no temperature control that actively works in the room. There’s no fan or movement of air so it can get quite stuffy. Other than that it was a great room and very clean!

Stay was good the only real issue us that the beds mattress could stand to be replaced kinda like sleeping like you are sleeping in a valley.

Cozy bed, hot shower

Excellent staff and clean room. The joining door needs better soundproofing ad you can hear the TV and conversations in the next room. The A/C worked well, but the compressor was very loud. Still loved the place. Good restaurant and bar with local craft beers.

The room was nice. Gave us a corner room with a nice view.

Friendly staff

We went for a concert & it was my first stay here . I think when it is a busy event , more staff should be on for ease of check in. Our toilet was plugged & with 4 women in the room , it was needed ! We called the front desk 3 times teying to resolve it , we were “ we are busy with check ins “ . We waited another 50 minutes prior to calling again & were told “ we are waiting on maintenance . 20 minutes later someone knocked & handed us a plunger , informing us that “ he couldn’t enter our room “! We had to call an additional time & they finally came up . The cost was twice that of a nearby hotel we stayed at 2 weeks prior ! No staff except at the casino were smiling or overly friendly . I won’t stay again !

The staff is exceptional!!!

I asked on two different occasions to be switched rooms because the AC was not working . Front desk said I had to flip the breaker switch off on the ac unit off for 1 min and it would reset and it work properly , it did not fix this issue . Paying almost $500 for a hotel for one night and not have ac is not ideal in a heat wave .

Fella at the front desk let me check in early after an 18h red eye flight and got me a room as far away from the elevator as possible. 10/10 would stay there again

A slight problem with our room was promptly remedied. Very friendly and helpful folks all around.

Went to the Casino bar. Figured have a drink before playing. Sat over a half an hour before we realized no one was behind the bar. The girl running the drawings, told me " yeah, the bar tender is on break". My reply...Really? No replacement? The Girl roaming the floor finally made us a drink after another half hour. I told my Wife, lets go to the Restaurant, they are open until 8, and we can get a bite and drink. The Restaurant was closed, even though it was only 6 PM, and they close a 8 on Sunday. Girl yelled, we're closed! Some young Security guard comes over and says the Restaurant is closed. After the experience at the casino bar, I asked him " Why?". He became indignant, and told me " because "! Because why? Just " because " was his reply. I said to him please elaborate! He said, "its none of my business"! At that point, the hair stood up on my neck. Here's this 20 something kid, telling me none of my business. I told him I am staying at the Hotel, not able to get a drink at the bar, nor a meal at the Restaurant, and this kid that I have socks older than him, telling me none of my business. I stay at the Hollywood Casino Holtel on a regular basis. I have to rethink that Customer service and politeness goes a long way. Phone didn’t work, receptionist was great, but had a long line, especially when they know they were booked for a concert, should have had more available to get the guest checked in quickly

It was hot. The AC never came on until 5 o’clock in the morning. We had to sleep with no covers. There’s not a normal thermostat so you can’t even turn the fan on. When we told the front desk in the morning that we didn’t sleep the night before but wanted to stay again if the issue could be resolved, she wasn’t in the least bit interested in resolving it or helping or even apologetic. They need to learn customer service. They want to micromanage your life. You can’t even get a normal shot of alcohol. They decided that you can’t have a normal drink like everywhere else. They said they’re not allowed to give as many ounces as usual??!! My drink was the smallest one I’ve ever seen in my life. What a joke and a rip off

Staff was friendly and helpful, nice view of River, easy walk to Downtown Bangor, free coffee at the front desk was a nice treat.

Convenient location, large clean rooms, decent view of river, lots or easy on-site parking. If you're going to show at Waterfront Amphitheater (5 minute walk along waterfront or down Main St), stay here

Average at best. The large amount of homeless in and around the casino was sad.

Hotel was clean and well maintained, located in downtown Bangor. Makes it easy to drive around. Lots of parking space too. Would recommend.

The stay at Hollywood Slots in Bangor was excellent in that the casino was fun and not very busy. Food at HOPS 99 was exceptional- especially their Reuben. Waitress and bar tender at HOPS are wonderful people. Rooms were clean and comfortable with the exception of the bed. The bed in room 413 was uncomfortable as the head of the bed was tipped down as the mattress is worn making for a bad nights sleep as no one likes sleeping feeling like they are partially sleeping on their head. They really need to pay more attention to when mattresses need to be replaced.

Spent a night here and enjoyed the casino and a nice meal at the Hops House 99 restaurant. Clean and comfortable room with a great view of the river. Parking garage easy to get in and out. Would stay there again. Breakfast is not included but there is a McDonalds across the street.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean. Bed was not comfortable. Shower/ water pressure was great! Highly not impressed with the dining. Are at the 99Hops place. They did not have the beer I requested. They said they ran out and were changing kegs and I never got any. Food was not impressive at all. Would stay there again, maybe, but definitely will not eat there.

Beautiful comfortable rooms. Wonderful friendly staff. The breakfast at the Hop House was fantastic. My room had a great chair with ottoman that made watching t.v. a joy. And of course a great casino

The room and service were good. Kind of a joke and useless to offer guest a $5 voucher for food, beings the guest are more than likely there to gamble. My major complaint was the restaurant that was to be open for breakfast..wasn’t! No signs, no rope over the entrance, nothing. We went to the hotel service desk to inquire and were told a pipe burst overnight. To which we said, close the entrance then!
