Hyatt Place Jackson Ridgeland

They do not have microwaves in the rooms, they do not clean the rooms daily. Had to ask for extra towels twice, inside of toilet bowel was dirty. The breakfast was a 1, hard pre-prepared waffles, undercooked sausage, the staff has a nonchalant attitude when you ask a question. This hotel has potential but is lacking in many ways.

Pool was green and cloudy. Beds have no protective cover over mattress.

Probably the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. There were no towels at the pool which we couldn’t even swim in because it was so cold. The room was hot and not cleaned very well. Breakfast options were minimal. Will not be staying again.

Fridge not working. Pool closed. They advise a “coffee bar” but it’s one expression machine that the staff didn’t know how to work.

Good parking

The property was nice. The room was clean and they provided plenty of towels. The staff were very nice and helpful. The downside was there was only one working elevator and it was very humid in the hallway and inside the elevator.

No microwave in room, tv in a very awkward spot where it’s across a partition wall and not comfortable to watch from couch or bed, very weird design. Elevator was out of order for over a week

No microwaves in the rooms, only one in the whole facility, all the way on the first floor.

Only one elevator works and it takes a long time. We had to use the stairs to the sixth floor. It's very noisy in the morning and you can't even sleep.

Floors were not that clean. Something sticky on floors. Garbage can had something gross all over and hair. Found someone’s sock by the bed. The front desk was friendly, but the room needed more attention.

Made reservation for one date and got to the hotel and somehow it got changed to another. Finally got all that straightened out and get to my room. The AC/heating unit did not work along with the shower being very moldy and smelled. Got a new room and got my stuff moved to new room. New room the bathroom fan made a horrible noise and couldn’t get it to quit along with shower being moldy. At this point it is really late so I shut the bathroom door and used tv do take care of fan noise. I always pile all linens before I leave and when I stripped bed noticed some blood stains on mattress which really grossed me out. Tried to tell front desk person but they never showed up before I left that morning.

I was planning on a two night stay but departed after the first night as my room had cockroaches.

The room had dirty comforts on the bed. Hair was in the refrigerator, in the sink and bath tub. I had to wipe down everything because you could tell it was half done. I had to go get my own towels, trash bags two days In a roll. The whole baseball team was there for a tournament and we chose this hotel for the free breakfast and we didn’t even get that due the staff was 40-45 late with the breakfast so many of us had to leave had to go purchase breakfast for our boys. The staff was rude also that morning.

I booked at a Hyatt because I expected it to be a little nicer. Unfortunately we got there to check in, around 6:30 pm, after a 7 hour car ride and our room was a mess. No sheets on the bed, old food and trash around the room, filthy. Ok, we thought it was a simple mixup of a room marked clean that hadn’t been cleaned. We informed Madisson at the desk, who was extremely kind, apologetic and helpful. (Bonus points for her, she deserves a raise) Unfortunately the hotel was completely booked and there wasn’t another available room for us, there was also a constant flow of people and so Maddison couldn’t much help us get the room cleaned as she was the only person working at all that evening. After waiting over an hour and poor Maddison being constantly swamped, I even offered to clean the room if she could get us a cleaning cart. But she was able to get in touch with her manager who came and cleaned the room for us so we could finally get into our room at about 9 pm. After that fiasco I was grateful for their effort to help us. However overall the stay wasn’t great. A broken ice machine and no vending machine on every floor, the continental breakfast was basically bagels, yogurt with pineapple and some flavorless eggs or dry waffles. Also there was only one pot of coffee that was constantly empty. I think 4-5 different patrons asked how much longer for coffee. We had used Expedia to book, which I won’t do again, because we couldn’t even cancel and go somewhere else.

The bathroom was not clean, there was hair all over the bathroom. Didn’t get a response from the manager, we were referred to talk to Hotel.com instead of the manager taking care of the issue.

I was so disappointed in the quality of the room. The shower curtain was dirty/moldy as well as there being mold on the shower walls. The shower head was rusting and full of calcium buildup. The towels were flimsy and dingy. The bedding was dingy as well. The clock and light fixtures were dusty. The plugs next to the bed were warped and would not hold well. There was only one trash can in the room. The lighting at the sink is terrible. This was such a disappointment for a Hyatt property. Positive side, the check in was easy and staff was professional and polite.

We got bedbugs from our stay. My wife's feet were fine in the evening. When she woke up she was covered in bites on her feet. Upon, pulling the sheets back we could see bugs.

Bathroom was so small I'd have to step into shower to close door (and I'm not that big), shower head had little pressure. The whole room seemed dark even when all of the multiple lights were on. Heard ever motorcycle & semi truck on the interstate all night long, curtains did not keep out sunlight. Other than all that room was clean & service was friendly

Being next to interstate, road noise was disturbing.

The water pressure in the shower was extremely low!! Very hard to rinse off soap. And it was impossible to try to shampoo your hair

We stayed one night for a tennis tournament. Checking in was a smooth process. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were not. We did like that the couch folds out to provide an additional bed. It was suitable for children, but an adult would not be comfortable. The bathtub did not have a drain stopper. The air conditioner was also extremely loud.

This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at on our vacation. We loved having a couch in our room and the large TV.

Our thermostat on the wall was not working at all. Had to control the air at the unit by the window that was right against the bed therefore the thermostat on the unit would think it was the temperature it was set on and cut off. Beds were comfortable. Several rings were missing on shower curtain. Alarm clock wasn’t working at all.

Staff was friendly, amenities nice. AC was dated and noisy especially turning on and off throughout the night.

Rooms needs remodeling and updated. Air conditioning was terrible blowing directly on beds making it to cold while on and to hot when off. Beds to soft and sunk in middle.

I was very comfortable at this hotel. The room was very spacious and had a sofa bed. I would definitely revisit this location.

GM and front office manager offered excellent service. My mom was having surgery close by and they were so accommodating

The service was not welcoming, the food was cold, the towels were thin and old, they said they would clean our room while we were gone but because we wasnt out of the room she didnt come back to clean it when we left.

The room was not serviced the two days I there, had to request towels the two days, no shower mat, I slipped, I had to put a towel down to stop me from falling, no microwaves in room, the ice bucked came apart and leak water on desk soaking my things. front desk didn't know where laundry room located, couldn't have laundry coins billed to my room I to go around asking for cash because it was all they would take, who carry cash! And the icing on the cake the desk clerk would not service me because I put the money on the desk, she said she would not service me until I pick the money up and put it in her hands, what! Oh, I made reservations in March my stay was in July, my reservation was not reserved, and I had printed confirmation, so I was late for my meeting until they figure something out. I thought by staying at the Hyatt Place in Ridgeland, Mississippi that I would get the best, but I was disappointed!

When we arrived there was a sign on the desk that said the desk manager was away from the desk assisting another guest. We waited approximately 20 minutes & the desk manager walks through the front door with a bag from Aplos Restaurant. While we were waiting another guest comes in & goes to the bar. I said no one is here & he said. Service here is not the best. He said he had been staying there for several weeks for work & service was lacking. We checked out around 4 AM to catch a plane. Manager couldn’t get me a copy of my receipt. I gave him my email & he said he would email me. I never got it.

Front desk staff acted like I was an inconvenience by checking in Doesn’t cost much to be polite and welcoming Did not happen in your hotel

Last min booking - paid in full- arrived - was not greeted and stood waiting then was told no keys available but that wasn't the case there were no rooms available. Was told 15 minutes so we left and grabbed a bite. Upon return we were given a key to our room after 8pm and room was dirty, no hand towels, or soap and bed pillow cases didn't appear clean. It was disappointing for the amount of money it cost -

We had a guarantee reservation for a room with two queen beds but when we arrived they didn’t have one. Had to stay in a room with king bed and sleeper sofa. Asked for towels the second day from house keeping. Didn’t happen, had to go to the front desk to get them that night. We will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

Nice property. Nice staff. I get there and the room they give me someone else is already in that room. Go to front desk and it took them almost an hour to get me into another room. Talking about the accounts merged somehow. So my credit card name etc attached to a room someone else staying in. Finally get it straight we r in the room. Stay another night also booked through Expedia. They charge my card for the the room that was prepaid thru this site and a deposit hold. If I was traveling it could really mess someone up. Ended up having to dispute the room charged by my bank. They clearly need to retrain their staff

The rooms were nice and clean, the workers were all very nice and professional, and we loved our visit.

Being next to interstate, road noise was disturbing.

This is a super clean and conveniently located Hotel at a very reasonable price. There is upscale shopping and dining adjacent to the property.

You do not want a room on the side by the highway... too much traffic noise. Not sure if the other side is quiet but it must be better...

Breakfast was absolutely horrible. 1st morning half of everything was empty. Oatmeal was dry and crusty looking. Def will choose different hotel chain in future.

The rooms were fine. The lobby needs some work. The breakfast situation is a mess. They don’t have the right tools and don’t seem to care. For example, they seem to want you to use disposable plates that are 10” but the trash can has a 6” hole. So, the customers just end up smashing plates through the hole making a giant mess. All the tables were dirty. No one wipes them during service. There were no buss tubs for silverware, so people just threw them away. Needs managed. Also the food is terrible, but these free breakfasts have a very low bar. Recommend to walk across street to fresh market.

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Safe area. The breakfast is not very good. Don’t expect too much on that area.

Housekeeping is upon request; I requested housekeeping 1 day of my 5 days stay. Actually, I had to request housekeeping 3 times that 1 day before it was done at 6pm. The sliding closet door was broken, the door only open about 6 inches. I reported the broken door to the front desk; maintenance never fixed the door during my stay. There was not a microwave in my room. For a hotel in the middle of the deep south grits were never on the breakfast menu on the 4 days I was in the breakfast area.

Breakfast was free but nothing to eat. I asked attend will I have to fix. That was at 7:30 in the morning. Suppose to start at 7AM. I waited for another 20 minutes still nothing. I left and had to go to Starbucks another$15.00 I had to spend.

Propert is very clean, great breakfast and staff. It was a last minute booking but everything checked out great
