Our second floor room was located in far back of property. No elevator available and this was not convenient with large heavy bags. The linens were pilled and the pillows were like a couch throw pillow with a pillow case on them. Hotel needs updating. Town is cute though, worth visit in different hotel.

Hotel is what you pay for a cheap safe place to stay. There is no breakfast do to remodeling. The website says they have a fitness center and a pool. They have neither opened. Pool was drained and never found fitness center I guess that is do to remodel too. The staff were very nice and the rooms were clean. Overall not a bad place to stay for the money. Safe area easy walking distance to most everything.

We will never stay there again ! Trash was piled up all along the building … drinks or possible vomit discolored the building ! We had to hold our breath to get to the room . Had my 85 year old father in law that is on a Walker , I asked where the elevator is and the staff said there isn’t one what ? They couldn’t accommodate us on a ground floor . Terrible experience

We booked a trip for us and our 4 month old over July 4th weekend. We chose this hotel because it was affordable, looked nice in the pics, had a breakfast included, and the pics showed a really nice pool. BUT... when we got there, the whole place was shabby and unkempt. The pool was shut down with weeds and trash all over, but we were told it just got shut down "last week" (yeah, right, you could tell it'd been empty for months!!) Our room had a horrendously uncomfortable bed with a lumpy, caved in mattress and a blanket that seemed to be almost falling apart. There was trash behind the bed and other hidden areas, along with finding multiple items from previous occupants in drawers. The fridge barely worked and the shower was like warm pee.... very, very disappointed.

Please don’t waste your money, our room 121 was infested with bed bugs. Woke up around 4am and they were all over the bed. Manager was not on scene therefore I had to email him and wait for a response. Needless to say we packed our stuff, left, came straight home to wash EVERYTHING. Worst trip ever.

When we entered the room, the bedding was on the floor & there were human stains on the bed. We immediately returned to the front desk & were given an upgraded room category. This would have been a great gesture to make up for sending us to an uncleaned & frankly GROSS room, and we knew this was a mistake due to probably staffing problems. But the new "upgraded" room had a hole in the wall & the toilet was broken, so we returned to the front desk & received a full refund. We proceeded to find another hotel nearby, which was similarly priced but no problems. Buyer Beware.

The room was ABSOLUTELY disgusting. From the moment that we opened the door, our skin began to crawl. The room was terribly outdated. The headboard was made of vinyl and the vinyl was worn away in a 2 foot circle from where previous guests had rested their heads. We found 1/4 inch of dust buildup on the baseboards. We were so disgusted that we went to our car and immediately searched online for another nearby hotel. We refused to spend our reserved 2 nights in this hotel.

Convenient location. Allowed pets which was critical to our decision. The cleanliness was way below average. Requested room as first was not vacuumed or dusted, plus the refrigerator was leaking water.Hotel owner graciously gave us another room which had not been vacuumed and there was hair in the bathtub. The point which stung was walking bare footed and seeing my souls turn black. No vacuum and probably never shampooed. Last, the grounds, building and pool need serious maintenance. A basic one very simple: caulk around the tub to cover the black dirt or fungus. Host and owner or manager very nice and accommodating.

TRAVELERS BEWARE The moment we walked into the room, we were hit with a horrible, stomach-turning smell — like mildew, old smoke, and who knows what else. That should’ve been the first red flag. But what we found next was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. There were cup rings and sticky residue on the bedside table, visible dirt covering the floor, and dried toothpaste still caked inside the sink. In the shower, there were globs of black hair, clearly left from a previous guest. This room was NOT cleaned prior to our arrival. And then we got to the toilet. Pee. All over the seat. Still wet. No exaggeration. It was absolutely disgusting. We called the front desk, and someone eventually came up, but they barely made an effort. The staff member gave the toilet a quick wipe and left, even though there was still urine visible. I had to go in with my own Lysol wipes just to feel comfortable enough to stand in the room. But what truly pushed me over the edge? A roach. Just casually crawling across the floor like it lived there. That was it. That was where I drew the line. We packed up and checked out less than two hours after checking in — and honestly, that was two hours too long. When we explained what happened, the front desk barely reacted. No apology. No concern. Just blank stares, like this wasn’t the first time these concerns had been brought up. Don’t waste your money, your time, or your health. Book anywhere else.

I would definitely not stay here again. The bathroom was dirty. There were water stains all over the ceiling. We couldn’t adjust the air conditioner at all. It stayed about 61 degrees the whole time.

This property was in an area we wanted to stay but it is in need of serious updates. It was okay for a 1 night stay. Carpets in rooms need to be deep cleaned or ripped up. This was evident when you stepped in the shower and noted how dirty your feet were. The towel bar in our room was missing, the toilet tissue holder was missing. Some the outlets or plugs did not work.

We had a king suite, advertised with a fireplace, balcony, jetted tub. The fireplace did not work, we were informed that is a "december" thing, and would not work until then. Too bad we arrived in October. The balcony was pretty good, faced the park. The jetted tub was ok. A little small, but 2 plump adults can fit alright. The jets are medium force, at best. The bed however was pretty comfortable. The pillows were a little better than the stndard pancake style. The breakfast consists of muffins, cereal, pastries, and pre- made bacon egg cheese biscuits. So, nothing healthy. If that's what you're looking for. Overall, for the price we paid, and even though the fireplace didn't work, I feel like this is a pretty good place to stay if you want a large suite, comfortable bed, and 4-5 minute walk to the Festhalle.

The most miserable pillows and mattress ever. Neither my husband or I got much rest. The one bedside lamp did not work. The room was very dark. The sofa sunk in when sat on making it hard to get up. Sleeping in the car would have been better.

In definite need of room repairs, TV wouldn’t shut off and couldn’t change volume…had to unplug it to sleep…floor was uneven under the carpet, there was like a small ledge under there and I almost sprained my ankle on it multiple times. Chair in room would have fallen apart if I had not checked it before sitting down don’t know what is actually holding it together. Touch up paint on the walls was a different color than the wall actually was. The bed was comfortable, thats really the only positive here.

I always enjoy leaving an honest review. The Baymont in Helen was a fun stay for me and my family. We had a room with 2 queen beds and a balcony. The view was great from the balcony and the beds were really comfortable.

When we got to our room, the door latch/knob was broken. Almost couldn't get into the room. Front desk sent maintenance right away. Door latch was not completely fixed, but we could get in. This is an older hotel, and we were there for only one night. Lots of upgrades need to be done. We would not have wanted to stay more than one night.

The bed was comfortable. Front desk staff was very nice. Sticky bathroom floor. No bathtowels or washcloths readily available until I alerted front office. Called because our door would not lock and then waited on repairman to fix it. Waterspots on bedroom ceiling needs repair. Plug in fried our charging cable.

Terrible - do not book! We arrived and were barely able to find a parking space in the dirty lot. The entire place is in very poor condition inside and out. Our room (after finally getting access into the room, which took a walk back to the front desk since they would not answer my multiple phone calls) was dirty, hair in bathroom floors, dirty headboard and filthy lampshades and smelled. Regarding the difficulty accessing our room - I’ll also note the maintenance person SAW US and said “oh I saw you having trouble you just have to do the handle a certain way” SAW US and let us walk all the way back to front desk and didn’t say anything until then?! How about fix the door handle, or speak to us when you saw we couldn’t get in?? (He was not in a uniform and certainly did not look professional so we did not know to ask him). Terrible condition. We went back to front desk and asked for a refund as we would not be staying in a room of that condition and were told we could not get a refund. I asked for a manager and was told they were not available. We checked out after being there for less than 10 minutes and chose to lose our $180+ rather than stay in a place of such poor condition. Photos are misleading!

I booked my stay with the pay later option which would have been taken care of at the property to my understanding. Check in started at 4pm. They tried to charge my card at 8 am and then agian at 1 pm. I receive a messaged telling me they were going to cancel. I called the property and explained that i keep my card locked but was curious as to why the charge was being placed now and not at arrival. The lady said it was beacuse they were fully booked and it was the only way to hold my reservation. I agreed to go ahead and pay. We arrived at 445 pm, 45 mins past check in start time. We were given the room key and went straight to the room hoping to shower before dinner. Our room door was wide open and hadnt been cleaned. We had to wait while cleaning staff rushed to clean the room (they were super apologetic and nice). Came back and turned on the air, put our things away, and went for dinner. Upon getting back the room was unfortunately super hot. The air didnt work correctly. At this point i was super aggrivated, we paid for a room with a balcony, hot tub, and moutain veiw. When in reality we got a room with a jetted tub, a street view, and an elevated deck. The air didnt work properly, they advertised a continental breakfast, which was literally just frozen waffles, yogurt, and cerial, and sent multiple notifications about check out starting at 8 am. Check out wasnt until 11. If it weren't for the fact we were only here for one night this would definitely be a one star.

The manager was yelling at guests and being very disrespectful to us and other guests. Very unprofessional assisting us in jogging pants and flip flops with a I dont care attitude including the front desk staff our room had a broken toilet and severely damaged door no toilet paper soap and towels in room had to request them room was extremely dirty too staff was upset to provide these items had to use google translate to communicate with them there was no 24/7 front desk assistance at night just a sign saying call a number that was disconnected coffee maker in room but no cups and very dirty the owners are trading off of the Wyndham bame forva Baymount price with no customary Wyndam amenities this hotel should be removed from expedia (pictures listed of hotel were all fake) breakfast buffet had dirty counters and tables with rotten fruit that was there our whole stay

Upon checking in to our room, it was evident that the room wasn’t properly cleaned. A strong smell of smoke and hair in the shower/tub. Then in the middle of the night while my family is sleeping, I hear someone at our door trying to get in. To my shock they actually opened up the door, but fortunately we had the chain on the door so I was able to prevent the people from coming in. Someone at the hotel gave our room to another guest! When I confronted the front desk about this, the woman responsible admitted that she did this, but didn’t really seem to care how traumatic this was to my wife and young child. Just yeah, sorry…and that was it. I get back to our room and find that the key no longer works on the door, so had to go back and get this resolved. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a hotel and absolutely won’t be coming back here!

First we arrived at 2 pm instead of 4 and they wanted to charge $25 for early check in, we said no thank you. Then came back at 5 pm and the front desk attendant was not friendly (need to take hospitality training). Went to the room, and smell like mildew.the sink faucet splashed water all over you. The bar hand soap was re-used and placed back in the package but not sealed. The bathtub and walls looked dirty and the shower head was tilted toward the wall and couldn’t changed. The bath towels were small and looked nasty, they were clean but looked dirty unbleached. We were downstairs and the people above us seemed to be walking all night, we can hear the st and the wood cracking. The next day, there was not coffee for breakfast. The machine “just broke” and they didn’t have a back-up. The hotel is outdated and I can’t believe the charge $162 for that place. Pictures on internet are deceiving.

The front desk personnel were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is at great location, you can walk to most of Helen’s attractions and restaurants. The room was cleaned and cozy for all of us. I would come back in future if I visited Helen again.

Location is perfect for the Event I attended. I've been staying at this location for several years now and over time it hasn't been updated, some plumbing issues, fixtures need fixing, and furniture needs replaced. I hope that the NEW Owners will take note of this and remodel the Rooms

This was a fine hotel. Close enough for walking to everything in town we wanted to see. We didn't eat the continental breakfast...too many other restaurants we wanted to check out instead. We came here during Oktoberfest. A very nice stay.

Been staying here for several years for a car event. Best part is sitting on the balcony watching all the cars go by. Short Walking to distance to ALL the Restaurant's Helen has to offer. Only wished they had made some upgrades to the rooms over the years. Still will come back for the convenience of the location, and easy access Handicap rooms.

Continental breakfast consisted of coffee, orange juice, small prepackaged danishes and yogurt. The pool, which my boys was looking forward to, was non operational. The rooms were ok, could have been alittle cleaner. Convenience ro town was great. We were able to walk and save on parking fees.

Breakfast didn’t even have coffee, no milk for cereal, and juice was frozen. A/C was loud enough to wake you up at night, paint peeling on the ceilings, the door knob on our room was on the verge of breaking. The little balcony was nice and peaceful, location is only a short walk to down town.

Very poor condition. Paint peeling on building & outside room doors. Bath sink draining very slowly (15-20 min to empty) Fireplace in room does not work. Shower curtain with mold on bottom. Breakfast was pitiful. All prepackaged food that was poor quality. This was the worst place we have ever stayed in!

You had to go to office and get towels and wash clothes and hand soap. Next to big daddy’s that plays loud music and people that go their for dinner park in hotel parking lot not much room for hotel guest. Breakfast was ok only plain waffles no butter for them or muffins

Room was clean. The air conditioner has no cover. I don't know if it works , i did not bother to check because the temp. inside the room was ok. The lady at the desk at check in was nice. At check out i was not given a receipt even when i asked for it. I was told it will be e mailed to me. I haven't received it yet. Breakfast was ok.
