Quality Inn

Apparently the property was in the process of being changed over from a Super 8 to a Quality Inn. So there was a lot of construction and updating going on at the time. The breakfast was minimal but fine. The secure wifi was out for our entire visit and the public wifi was out for at least half of the time. While the hotels.com listing said the parking was free, we were charged $3/night fee on arrival. We asked about that on check out and a different employee refunded the fee. However, the employee who had originally charged us saw and was very disgruntled, saying she was told that should never be done, no matter what the website said. The room itself seemed reasonably clean. However we did get some strange bug bites while there (maybe spiders) and we found trash from previous occupants in drawers.

The room was renovated and bed comfortable, but TV did not work. Maintenance tried to fix it. Also no place safe to walk dogs on property, they have a lot of work to do, and only one ice machine and it was out of ice in evening. Not happy with stay and door kept getting stuck trying to open it, too many inconveniences for me. Then a woman staying there decides to talk on her cell phone outside are room by balcony at 2::00 am seriously?? We were exhausted from the whole experience unfortunately.

This hotel is currently being remodeled. They expect completion of all the rooms very soon. The pool will be opened the end of April. The staff is excellent. The rooms are comfortable. The location is walking distance to town about 1/2 mile
