Super 8 by Wyndham Clarinda

It was inexpensive, clean & convenient. Kids enjoyed the pool.

Didn't get too use our hot tub in our room, and my bf didn't even know it was our anniversary. So other than that everything else was awesome

Fast efficient check in. Very nice clerk. She moved us to first floor at our request and the room was spacious with a jetted tub. TV had lots of channels. Quiet area around the motel.

Nice quiet hotel. The room was nice and spacious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area was nice and looked well maintained. If I was back in the area I would stay there again.

Nice visit. No issues. Safe & Simple. Pool was cold…too cold for kids.

Pool’s unsanitary, rooms smelt, doors were hard to open, shower didn’t function properly, breakfast sausage links were cold, eggs tasted like rubber

I drive a semi truck and I was in the area visiting a loved one in the back of this hotel. They have a huge gravel parking lot so I was able to park my truck back there. The only thing I hate about this area is there's like next to nothing to order from Uber and Lyft isn't in the area so you're kind of stuck when it comes to eating options unless you walk to the grocery store or the McDonald's, etc.

My family stayed for the weekend, due to our son being in a movie being filmed near by. The stay was nice. The staff was pleasant. Breakfast needs some work, however, it was free. The hot tub was very relaxing. Our youngest son enjoyed the pool. We will stay again in the future.

Seems they never have enough towels in pool area and in the rooms.

Overall everything was OK. The property is dated and needs refreshed/updated. Shrubbery out front needs to be thinned and trimmed badly. Linens in the room are becoming threadbare and pillows are quite flat. I stayed here 2 years ago and nothing has visibly changed since then. The public facilities are in need of updating overall. The room was acceptable for what I needed and price seemed a little high for the condition of the property. It was OK for my short stay. My next stop is a Super 8 in North Platte, NE so we'll see how it compares.

The website offered more amenity’s than available. Bugs in bathroom. No coffee in rooms.

Nice clean room comfortable beds and good breakfast. Only reason for a 4 is there could be more plugs but we adjusted and did just fine. Would stay here again very nice staff.

The staff was nice and the room was clean. The day we arrived, everything looked good. By the third day, the room smelled musty and the last day was almost unbearable. It rained most of the time which may be what caused the musty smell. The tub didn't seal so a bath was out. If the smell wasn't so bad, I would give a higher rating.

Room was clean, but linens were very wrinkled. When family member entered their room beds had dirty linen and hadn’t been cleaned. They were able to get another easily.

Facilities were cleaned to the best of their ability but tiles, woodwork and countertop had cracks and wear. Our room smelled terrible—like a combo of mold and poop. The a/c unit squeaked all night long.

The upkeep was lacking. Poor looking caulking in bathrooms, gaps in caulking. Noisy from persons walking in room above.

It is ok. They need to do a few things to spruce the place up. The room was clean, but old looking. The bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was good. For the money…just alright.

Travelled 4 hours and stayed here so I could go to the ax murder house in Villisca. Arrived late on a Friday night so as you can imagine we were overly exhausted. The people upstairs kept stomping I swear it sounded like they had an elephant in their room. Every time my daughter would just start to doze off they woke her up. I called the front desk and complained and I’m pretty sure they got kicked out. Also the remote didn’t work so I couldn’t change the channel but we didn’t watch much tv anyways

Convenient accessible first floor room. Key card worked every time in door lock. Room was quiet & comfortable. A/C worked well & was relatively quiet.

Well the keys wouldn't work so had to go back to the desk and have her rescan them. They still didn't work and the front desk person had to come to the room. She did get it after the second try. She was super nice btw! But then the TV didn't even work. Couldn't get any channels on nothing. Was not going to bother front desk again but that was frustrating. Stuff needs updated for sure.

Door key card didn’t work—front desk help said it needed batteries—didn’t fix the problem. Moved us to a different room. Room key didn’t work again—front desk met us as we were headed back to get help. Finally gained access—door handle was ready to fall off. The new room was an upgrade and nice. But, after 10 hours on the road and arriving at 10:30 pm—it was inconvenient. Breakfast was barely edible. Serious maintenance needs to be done on this property. Will not be returning!

Definitely needs updated. No electricity in bathroom area in the morning. Could not use hair dryer or curling iron. Bed was comfortable.

Beds are horrible. Hard as plywood.

For starters when trying to check in, there was nobody around. Front desk changed our room for some reason. I told her I took the room that the website said was available. Went to room and it smelled like a mix of cat pee and cigars. There was some kind of nose dropping that was stuck to the wall and didn’t use one pillow because there was blood on the one side of the pillow case. The jets in the hot tub, only half worked. The next morning at breakfast I tried to make a waffle and no mix, so I went and told the staff member who is obviously not a morning person. She couldn’t even communicate there wasn’t any. Other people there told her about the orange juice that was out and she didn’t seem happy that she had to get more. Around 8:30 ish there was two knocks at the door, housekeeping I answered and she asked if we were checking out today and I said yes we are getting our things together. We still had over 2 hours. Right before 10. Knocking again and my husband got up to answer and here she opened the door with her room key asking if we were going to be checking out. HELLO COMMUNICATE WITH THE FEONT DESK WHEN SOMEONE CHECKS OUT. Planned on going back up in that area but will not be staying there or any Super 8.

I enjoyed staying here and plan on being a returning customer. Great staff!

Check in was filled with misunderstanding. The front desk attendant spoke with confusing broken English. I had prepaid and when my checked in she was asked for a credit card. When she said we have already paid, the attendant still demanded a card. Frustrated, my wife came to the car to get me. I was still doing work on the computer, and had to pack that away before I went into the lobby. Te clerk asked me for a credit card. When I said “I already paid,” she said she needed a card anyway. When I asked why she said for a damage deposit. Then it made sense. Throughout the rest of checkin the attendant mumbled more broken English and I had to prompt her to talk to me. Someone trained to be more clear and personable would make for a more pleasant experience.

It was easy to find, on Hwy #2 and just off of Hwy #71. A good firm comfortable bed. The TV didn't work so they brought a different one in. We turned on the heat and a weird smell and smoke started to come out and the smoke alarm went off. We turned it off, lucky it was only 55 out so we didn't freeze. The shower drain wouldn't drain so we pulled the plug out and hair slug about 6 inches long. evidently it wasn't cleaned in a while. The breakfast was waffles and cold cereal. It wasn't worth the price.

It was clean hotel lighting in bedrooms the switches on lamps could be up graded some were hard to turn on. Needed better pillows.. other than that i was satisfied i thought everything was fine . Maybe add extra hour for breakfast in morning .

The motel was clean and the staff was nice. The room was old but that didn't really affect our stay. AC worked well. Breakfast was decent.

Very bland and very little options for breakfast. Bed sizes are not accurate on app. For what is actually in the room. The heating/AC unit did not work properly making it hard to make the room comfortable
