The staff was super friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful.

Window curtains torn in room 308. Ice machines on 3 floors not working or completely empty of ice.

The hotel is very dated and the parking is terrible. The elevator seemed like it might be on its last legs, though there was an inspection record. There were sirens all night long

From the beginning of check-in, there were no luggage carts available, then once we entered the elevator it seemed to be semi-operational. The door to the room on the 6th floor was heavier than a freight train, the entrance to the room was spacious, but the bathroom space was equipped for a single occupant, no shower dispenser, door to the refrigerator was pulled from the wall and was very dirty inside with a loud sqeak. Pillows were very uncomfortable which made my night unpleasant. I stayed at this same hotel over 30 years ago and the experience then was far greater than now.

This building is very old and not in a good way. 1970s building and elevators are from a scary movie. Staff is very nice. Good check in experience. Downtown Montgomery

It was a very average hotel...no microwave or refrigerator in the room. The microwave was in the lobby and very dirty.

The baggage carts were all broke, all of the ice machines were broke, their printer didn’t work, the lobby floor and the elevator floors were dirty. The room seemed clean, but the carpet is really old and brown so it was hard to tell. Staff were all very friendly

The fact that I was charged for parking and then the parking lot was so full I had to park in the street. Most hotels have a little fridge and then breakfast was $21 a person ridiculous.

Small beds full size definitely not queen. There's no fridge or microwave in the rooms. I will not return!

It looked to me like an old Embassy Suites. One of the elevators makes a terrible noise when door opens and closes. The ice machine on 3rd floor didnt work. The smoke detector in my room started 'chirping' in the middle of the night. The front desk said there was nothing they could do and suggested i take the battery out. Overall a very underwhelming experience for the Hilton brand.

The elevator floors were so dirty

This hotel is a trash pit, a friend and I came to stay for a funeral. The front desk staff was unwelcoming and rude and the rooms were disgusting I would have rather canceled my stay and went to another property however they weren’t trying to issue refunds and their horrible attitudes made it uncomfortable to keep asking for better accommodation. The first room we were given had a pungent smell and mold in the picture, the second room had a broken drain and ac, and mold in the bathroom. my friend had blood on her sheets and an ant invasion the following night. This property needs to be closed and redone it’s no reason for people to pay almost $500 of their hard earned money to be uncomfortable. They also sprung on a $16 a night parking fee that wasn’t included in Expedia. I am HIGHLY unsatisfied while i was supposed to be grieving the loss of my mother i also had to be uncomfortable.

We stayed at this property in mid-August 2025 for a quick college student drop-off. The area around the hotel was nice, and the hotel is easily accessible with plenty of self-parking. The staff was wonderful! Unfortunately, our room was underwhelming to say the least. It was extremely humid in the room, which could explain the rust on the sconce lights beside the beds and desk lamp, but it doesn't explain the dust, though. It may also possibly be the reason for the curtains having some sort of residue on the backing that transfers onto anything that touches it. When we were walking to our car in the parking lot we noticed in the windows of a couple of other rooms that they too had this same looking residue on the back of their curtains, which is why we didn't waste any of the little time we had trying to get our room changed, figuring it may be an issue in some of the other rooms as well. There were several other issues as well, like debris along the edges of the flooring in both the room and bathroom, flooring under the b/r sink had stray hairs, holes in the b/r wall, and holes in the padding on the bed's corners, just to name a few. Overall, the room requires a thorough cleaning, improved climate control, and some updates. I reached out via email with feedback and offered to send photos, and they responded, stating that I should hear back from someone within 3 days. However, I have yet to receive a response.

My hotel room was in poor condition. The bathroom’s ceiling looked as if it had a past bad leak that was improperly repaired. The carpet in the room was very dirty. The base/platform of the bed was dusty and had traces of other visitors items (hair, pendant, and food. Also, trash was left in bathroom’s trash can.

The front desk staff (Bobby, Maria and Tay) were pleasant and very helpful dealing with an issue with the credit card reader at check in. The bathroom was not clean and the floors were dirty. Drawers were broken and hanging, paint was peeling and there was a musty odor in the room.

This is the second survey that I have done. I made it clear that the room wasn’t properly cleaned (specifically the bathroom toilet and shower), the ice machines on the second and third floor were both out of service with no signs saying that they were out of order, and the room had an odor like old mold or mildew had settled in. The only thing I like about the hotel was the location and food options nearby.

Curtains were had significant dirt on them. Body wash was empty in the shower. Furniture was scuffed and not properly maintained.

The room wasn't clean enough. I found stuff from the people who staying before me and my family under the bed cover sheet. The A/C doesn't work good. The hallways was smelling bad. Not recommended 😕

There was only 1 staff member at all times doing every task at the front desk. They had to answer phones, check in/out customers and deal with other issues with customers. When we entered our room, it was dirty. The garbage cans were half full from the previous occupants. The mirrors had big streaks on them. The TV had splashes of liquid, it just felt gross. We didn't even bother calling to complain and go down to speak to a staff member because they were so overwhelmed trying to help everyone. The beds were clean and the following day they cleaned better. We would not stay there again.

The room is nice but could use some updating, possibly the carpet to eliminate the small odor. The room was not thoroughly cleaned, rose petals and hair all over the room.

Yes, rooms were great

My room was not ready when I arrived so they switched me to another room and gave me a coupon for breakfast which I thought was great. But they did not change it in the computer and someone else came into my room as I was online with my class. The front desk then called my room wanting to know who I was and why I was in that room! They forgot to change my room in their system. I could not login to their wifi. I could not watch TV as there was "no signal" after about 2 minutes watching a show. One of the lights flickered and I could not use it. The heating system made noise until I turned it off. My card did not work to get back into my room the next morning after breakfast. There was only one poor waitress in the restaurant running around like crazy. All the tables were dirty. The front desk staff was inept. Terrible place to stay!

No air in room.

This property is poorly maintained. It's old and in disrepair. Bathrooms are small and not well designed.

It took 3 rooms before it was just right. Arrive past 7pm from a long drive from New Orleans. Bobby from front desk gave us room 513, but when we opened it, there was clothes and things all over the bed. So went down and reported. Bobby gave me a complimentary breakfast and new room 512. When we entered the room, it was dirty- stain on the bed, carpet dirt & debris all over, awful smell, remote for TV was missing and hair on the bathroom sink, toilet bowl and tub. I went down again, reported and I asked to talk to supervisor. GM Moe apologized, gave me a complimentary parking and new room 528. It was a bit cleaner than the former but still need improvement. Also in the morning, I needed to go down the front desk to pick up hair dryer because housekeeping can't bring it up to me when there should be one in the first place. The staff especially GM Moe tried to resolve the inconvenience with out argument and complementaries. I and my family were definitely stunt that this was part of Hilton hotels but does not meet the expectation.

Clean and big room

The staff was very courteous and professional. We arrived past midnight to a room that was one towel set short and coffee maker not in the room. When I let the front desk staff member know, she immediately addressed the issue and resolved our needs. The two things I would recommend is change out the air conditioning system to central air as the system is extremely loud and the elevators doors are extremely loud.

A good location. I usually like Doubletree hotels, but this was a bit of a disappointment: the ground floor room was under a gym and was poorly sound-insulated from weights etc being dropped on the floor above and the fairly small window opened out on to the car park which reduced privacy. I would advise patrons to ask for a higher floor. in addition, the TV in the room didn't work properly although I could get a just about passable picture.

air condition didn't cool

This property may have been decent at one time, however that is not the case now. Where do I start: the floor in the elevator was cracked and lifting, the chair in our room was ripped, the curtains were coming down, there was only one trash can, there were no clean wash cloths the entire time, the bathroom was extremely small, the drawer was broken on the dresser, the coffee cups had the wrong size tops, and loud construction of some sort was happening and quite noisy and the room had a weird odor when you walk in.

Won’t be staying here again. The hotel is very outdated and dark and there is a mildew odor in the air and in the rooms that is very sickening. The service was sub par. Called for towels for the room at 730 am I wasn’t able to get any until 8pm and that was only after going down to front desk since I figured they were now screening my many calls. You call concierge and the staff is dismissive. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in to date.

Room not ready at check in or even an hour after Bedside outlets didn’t work

You must ask for service if you want your room maintained. There is a tiny sticker in the upper corner of a mirror. There was a vacuum cleaner in the hall, I guess if you wanted to use it. Likewise there was a bin for you to dump towels. Never seen anything like this especially at DoubleTree. When I had leftover food. The front desk person told me, just leave it in the hallway. Disappointing service for this caliber of hotel!!

There’s not much I liked-they have is free cookies on arrival. Our room was not available even though we arrived after the check in time. There was no warning and we had to wait for our room, sitting around in the lobby while everyone else seemed to check in without issue. The property is dark, warn out and dirty. The area outside doesn’t feel safe, we were approached during our short visit three times by people asking for money. Our room smelled of chlorine and they had stuffed some kind of air fresheners in the window AC unit to help but it didn’t mask the awful smell. Worst of all, at midnight, someone came barging into our room and woke us up in a terror. The latch prevented them from getting into our room-I immediately called the front desk and they said there was no record of us being in the room. There were loads of questions like room number and time of check in, but no apology and no explanation other than it seems they have another guest a key to our room. At that point I was high on adrenaline so we checked out thirty minutes later. Again at the desk there was no apology, just ‘have a nice night’ as we left. Generally the staff weren’t very helpful or hospitable. The property, even with an Orbitz discount, was ridiculously over priced and they charge $25 for parking each night. Really surprising how Double Tree has gone down hill.

Will NEVER stay here again. Someone attempted to walk into our room at 3am and startled both me and my wife. Luckily, I had the bolt lock on. Not sure how the staff gave someone else a room keep considering we had checked in at 11pm EST. Next morning around 4am, the fire alarm was raging for about 15 minutes only to get downstairs and someone was saying "false alarm". Like WTH

Literally rolled their eyes bc someone from the bar had to go get them in the back room. I asked about how to fix Hilton Honors and the first guy said, “I have no idea” and left it at that. Not helpful at all. Felt as if I was a nuisance to anyone I talked to. The only nice people were the ones at the bar. Everything is an up charge (breakfast, parking…). The bathtub had dirty water in it, I have photos. I was hoping to use the laundry machines but it was used the entire time despite waking up at 3am and checking. I have booked so many guests here. I am embarrassed to have sent them here and don’t think I will ever again. Def a shame. It’s beautiful on the inside but I did not feel comfortable whatsoever.

Everything was excellent from check-in to check-out. Each request was met and the special warm cookies were delicious as always! Best hotel stay we’ve had in a while!!

Rooms not ready

Very friendly and efficient front desk welcome. The hotel is in an excellent location and parking is good. Room size was good however one of the curtains was not fixed properly and the end was hanging down. Also one of the windows was covered in something that restricted the view. The shower was either too hot or too cold.

Okay quality for the price. If the price was higher and I had the same experience I would rate it lower. It felt a little dated/dirty and the non-restaurant staff seemed somewhat indifferent which was the biggest disappointment. The area around the hotel is nice which kind of makes up for it. I was traveling for work, otherwise I would have picked another hotel. It's just a basic, average hotel.

Felt unsafe during my stay. Do not recommend.

Walkably close to most of what i needed to accomplish while there

We enjoyed our stay. We felt very safe, the area was quiet, and staff was amazing. The only thing we had that we didn’t expect was no fridge in the room. This wasn’t a huge inconvenience, but something we didn’t plan for.

Breakfast is not included. My fault for not checking but a sign at the breakfast buffet would have been helpful. It was NOT worth $21 each. VERY friendly staff and good service however.

HOTELS.COM site does not tell you that there is there is a fee for parking. Normally expect higher quality for a Doubletree in a downtown setting. Furnishings are dated. Restaurant was closed.

The front desk was are amazing with Hilary (?) expediting my room. Ms E in the dinning room for breakfast made sure I got something to eat and has a great personality.

I am an amputee have had both feet amputated. Showed up three minutes late for breakfast. Was told I could not order from the buffet, even though they would not have had to put out anything extra. I explained I will make one pass through there I don’t eat that much in the first place. I was told no they shut it down at 10 o’clock. However, they had just restocked the buffet at 9:50 but yet could not let me go through the line one time. I asked him what they were gonna do with the food. They said well some of what they were gonna sell Hollo cart some of it they would probably be throwing out and I ask him could they at least give it to the homeless or something? I own the company that employed 83 people and I understand that you have to have rules to go by. However, should I go to Montgomery again for another football game? I doubt seriously I will stay there. The people in checking in and checking out were great. It really wasn’t the waitress‘s fault because she was just following company policy. However, had they let me go through the line. He probably would’ve had me as a customer forever. I know it’s Doubletree by Hilton, but I stay at the Hilton in Las Vegas. I stay at the Conrad in Las Vegas. I stay at Trump international in Las Vegas, which I believe is managed by Hilton.

The visual of this property was incredible but the actuality of things was not. There was no soap in the room, we didn't get service for our linens daily even after being pointed out to staff. Had to ask for towels and such at the front desk.Things were broken-washer and dryer out of order. TV reception was broken w/ no signal mostly displayed. Had stove and dishwasher in room but no pans or pods to be used. Coffee in the room not replaced daily and cups. Limited carts for use of luggage. Key card needed reset as it didn't work after first day. Breakfast was $21 person, not included w/ stay. Fee for parking also. When asked for receipt for stay was told the printer was broke and it would be emailed to us shortly. Still have not received it a day later. Would not recommend in future.
