I was very happy with this hotel. It is located directly on the waterfront, a short 10min walk away from Intramuros, and a 15min walk from the TGV train station. My room (fourth floor, street side) was small but cozy, with a comfortable bed and a very good shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and they all spoke English for the times when my (very limited) French gave out. Breakfast was excellent. A great selection of bread, including croissants, jams, cold cuts, juices, cereal, and pastries. Additionally, there are freshly-prepared eggs and crepes. The breakfast room doubles as a creperie / tea salon during the day. One very minor issue was that the elevator was out of order during my stay, and my room was on the fourth floor. Not an issue for me, but it might have been a problem for guests with limited mobility. Overall 5/5 rating, would book again in a heartbeat.

Small Hotel with very friendly personnel and an astonishing sea view. I can really recommend to stay at the Ambassadeurs when visiting St.Maloand surroundings. Parking in the street is free and on top of a small restaurant there is also a Rooftop bar.

Our room was street view but not noisy. The room was very small . Looked to be recently refurbished. Dark wood furniture, big comfortable bed, modern shower room /toilet. Very clean. Coffee pod machine. Reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Bar area/breakfast room overlooked the beach.

This hotel was just ok. It was great to be able to open the windows and sleep to the sound of waves crashing, but other than that, everything else was just ok. We walked in and there was a dirty q-tip on the floor right outside of the bathroom. We're were doing a longer trip, so had heavier luggage. Instead of being directed to where the elevators were (past reception and around the corner), the person at the front desk watched as we lugged our heavy luggage up to the 4th floor. We went up to the rooftop, which was empty and we were not greeted by the bartender. Not a huge deal, but just a little offputting. If you want to eat right by the hotel, I'd recommend making reservations in advance. However, the walk into St. Malo is not far and there are a ton of great spots there. Le Cafe de Saint Malo has so-so reviews, but we thought it was great! There is a paid parking option, but all of the street parking right by the hotel is free. We traveled in late April and finding a street spot right in front of the hotel was very easy.

L'hôtel est très bien positionné. St-Malo intra muros à 10min de marche. Ce sont de vieux bâtiment donc ce ne sont pas de très grande chambre. Nous y avons quand même passé 3 nuits très très confortables. Nous n'avons pas testé le resto car il y en a tellement au tour, mais il était toujours très occupé ce qui est bon signe. Demandez une chambre avec vue sur mer, vous ne le regretterez pas.
L'hôtel est très bien positionné. St-Malo intra muros à 10min de marche. Ce sont de vieux bâtiment donc ce ne sont pas de très grande chambre. The view of the beach at St. Malo was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel is quite expensive for what it offers. The breakfast cheeses and meats were dried out. The room was very small and the parking was 350 metres away, in another hotel. There was no place to stop to drop off luggage.

The location of the property was amazing. However the picture showed on the website, showed full door windows looking out to the see, I did feel this was false representation of the room given. We just had a small window that opened onto the sea. Very disappointing.

The views were spectacular! Throughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was lovely. The shower was amazing. Lovely restaurants nearby would definitely recommend :)

La première nuit s’est déroulée convenablement,la seconde correctement,quand à la troisième c’était une chambre sous les combles avec les pentes de la charpente du toit,il fallait marcher courbé d’où des blessures infligées au cuir chevelu,malgré notre intervention auprès de la direction,rien n’a été proposé sur le séjour,une hypothétique réduction étant proposée sur un séjour futur,proposition que nous n’avons pas retenu,d’où notre déception générale,un objet oublié dans la première chambre n’a pas été restitué

Skønt gammelt og charmerende hotel med perfekt beliggenhed. Det fremstår dog lidt nedslidt og værelserne er ekstremt små. Sørg for at bestille et værelse med havudsigt. Det havde vi gjort, men hotellet havde lavet en fejl, så de første to nætter blev i et værelse ud til vejen, før at vi blev rykket til det værelse, som vi havde bestilt. Det var til gengæld super (men også meget lille), men med den skønneste udsigt. Fejlen med værelset har nok trukket lidt ned i antallet af stjerner, vi har givet.

Hôtel bien situé avec une vue mer sympathique. Dommage que le petit déjeuner ne soit pas inclus. Par contre arriver à 15h00 et repartir à 11h00 je trouve cela abusé. Le personnel était pas très commercial et froid. Dommage.

On a perdu une grosse heure avant de pouvoir quitter. Très désagréable comme expérience. Nous a laissé un goût amer sur l’hôtel.

This hotel was just ok. It was great to be able to open the windows and sleep to the sound of waves crashing, but other than that, everything else was just ok. We walked in and there was a dirty q-tip on the floor right outside of the bathroom. We're were doing a longer trip, so had heavier luggage. Instead of being directed to where the elevators were (past reception and around the corner), the person at the front desk watched as we lugged our heavy luggage up to the 4th floor. We went up to the rooftop, which was empty and we were not greeted by the bartender. Not a huge deal, but just a little offputting. If you want to eat right by the hotel, I'd recommend making reservations in advance. However, the walk into St. Malo is not far and there are a ton of great spots there. Le Cafe de Saint Malo has so-so reviews, but we thought it was great! There is a paid parking option, but all of the street parking right by the hotel is free. We traveled in late April and finding a street spot right in front of the hotel was very easy.

I was very happy with this hotel. It is located directly on the waterfront, a short 10min walk away from Intramuros, and a 15min walk from the TGV train station. My room (fourth floor, street side) was small but cozy, with a comfortable bed and a very good shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and they all spoke English for the times when my (very limited) French gave out. Breakfast was excellent. A great selection of bread, including croissants, jams, cold cuts, juices, cereal, and pastries. Additionally, there are freshly-prepared eggs and crepes. The breakfast room doubles as a creperie / tea salon during the day. One very minor issue was that the elevator was out of order during my stay, and my room was on the fourth floor. Skønt gammelt og charmerende hotel med perfekt beliggenhed. Det fremstår dog lidt nedslidt og værelserne er ekstremt små. Sørg for at bestille et værelse med havudsigt. Det havde vi gjort, men hotellet havde lavet en fejl, så de første to nætter blev i et værelse ud til vejen, før at vi blev rykket til det værelse, som vi havde bestilt. Det var til gengæld super (men også meget lille), men med den skønneste udsigt. Fejlen med værelset har nok trukket lidt ned i antallet af stjerner, vi har givet.

Amazing location over looking the sea, like a postcard. Staff very friendly and attentive. Room small but comfortable. Cobwebs on the ceiling and carpet in need of a deep clean. Bathroom very small but had a good shower. Roof top bar is a plus. Nearby street parking is free. Dinner/wine was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and scrambled eggs scrumptious.

The view of the beach at St. Malo was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel is quite expensive for what it offers. The breakfast cheeses and meats were dried out. The room was very small and the parking was 350 metres away, in another hotel. There was no place to stop to drop off luggage.

Bon hotel mais manque de personnel . Salle de bain trop petite, wc dans le coin et quasiment inutilisable. Petit dejeuner moyen, pain et viennoiserie congeles. La personne est seule le matin pour tout faire! Ne pas prendre le parking car probleme avec le portail et impossible de recuperer la voiture avant 11h. Par contre, les chambre ont une vue magnifique.

If you’re looking for chic & boutique then look elsewhere. The hotel is a handsome property ideally situated next to the beach and close to town, but the interior lets it down. The leopard print carpets and grey walls of the common areas give off brothel vibes and the room was tiny, tired and lacking basic amenities- no fridge, no kettle, no bedside table, little in the way of toiletries. The bathroom was so small that that the WC was almost inside the shower and the towels were supermarket quality - thin and small. The furniture was heavy, dark and battered. It’s really the opposite of chic. Staff are very friendly but, really, they need to spend some money on their hotel rooms and common areas. I’d give this a miss unless you are fond of dated 2* hotels of old. I’m not.
