Spa was xlosed for the week whichbwas highly disappointing. I was unaware of this until arriving at the hotel, it would have been polite to mention before i booked as i probably wouldnt have stayed here if i had known.

Conditions of leisure facilities not up to the usual Hilton standard. 2 of the 3 showers in the mens changing area ‘out of service’ with the 3rd one only giving out freezing water. The pool water was also too cold. Bedroom was comfortable and clean.

It is a nice hotel in a good location with some faded glamour to it. Great sized room, though it is a bit of a walk if your room is in the 400s! The big down side was the Spa was very much in need of repair, showers out of order, toilets as well. Also if you want treatments make sure you book them before you arrive, there is very limited space.

Large comfortable room with large TV and super shower room/WC. Nice warm pool. Easy access to Cotswolds. All hotel EV chargers out of service. Found fast chargers elsewhere. Room was a long walk from reception: room numbers over 299 a significant walk from reception/ dining/ pool including up and down stairs when going back and forth. My rating is 8 out of 10 overall.

Lovely hotel and pool spa facilities, nice touch to receive cookies as we checked in although we had to ask for them! I was surprised to be charged a service charge when ordering drinks at the bar! And the water temp kept changing when showering, didn’t use the restaurant but the clock tower next door offered very reasonably priced meals.

Pool area and changing rooms really poor run down and dirty. Reception friendly and breakfast very nice Room was comfortable but am alarm went off at 4am in our room duty manager couldn't stop it in the end my husband found a switch in the cupboard that turned it off. It wasn't a fire alarm , Google suggested an intruder alarm. Terrible night and our first night away without the kids in 5 years, absolutely gutted. Lots of stairs to rooms so not good for less abled.

The hotel was a little worn but still comfortable. Stains on sheets and carpet. Disappointed that the pool was closed one day but when it was open it was good. Staff were very kind and helpful.

We were so looking forward to our stay as it was planned as some luxury around cheaper forms of accommodation. The first room we were put in had an air con unit outside the window which was noisy and reception kindly moved us to another room. I was really looking forward to having the room serviced daily however this didn’t happen. One day I left the “come back later” sign on the door (presuming it was requesting the housekeepers to come later in the day, after we left. No one came. The next day I asked a housekeeper to clean the room and I was told I will need to go to reception and request it, which I thought was odd but didn’t have time to go as I was in a rush. The next day the towels were changed only after my partner specifically requested it. Otherwise, the property is lovely in a beautiful location.

The hotel was the dirtiest we have ever stayed in and to be honest was embarrassed for the hotel on its busy week with all the people paying top money got moved rooms and the upgrade room was just as dirty just had clean sheets on the bed

Cobwebs in room, bathroom fan did not work, lightbulb in standard lamp did not work, limited toiletries. Cobwebs , bulb and fan reported to reception, no interest, nothing done . Would not stay again.

The staff were lovely; very friendly and helpful. However there didn’t seem to be enough of them, for example, we had lunch in the bar when we arrived as we were a little early to check in. Several others were also eating at the same time. We later checked in, went to our room, went for a walk and then returned to the bar (at least 1 hour later) and at least 3 tables had still not been cleared. We also had an issue with the toiletries in the bathroom, both the hand wash and shower gel were empty, we told reception but they were not refilled during our entire stay. On a positive note, parking was easy and reasonably priced. There is a bus stop 200 yards down the road for easy access to Cheltenham centre.

Room was small but okay. The bed was very comfy. However the en-suite was very small the basin was tiny because of the lack of space and was in the way of the toilet. Shower cubicle was very small and the levers hit each other. So when you turned the water on the lever was in the way of the temperature adjustment. I guess they put me in that room because I was a single traveller. Breakfast was nice. I won’t be recommending it to anyone which is a shame because it was recommended to me by a colleague so I imagine the other rooms are better. However I will not be going back. The staff were lovely. They told me the reason the en-suite was cramped was because that side of the building was listed.

Asked for a travel cot and for the first time in ages there was one in the room when we arrived. Stayed in the suite which was perfect for a two year old to run around in and burn some energy before bed time. The only issue was the suite was right above the terrace bar area. Due to the old windows, could hear everything being said below us including the drunken guy shouting at the kids playing cricket at 11pm.

Room was very hot, obviously due to weather. No air con units for any room. WiFi non existent, when complained on exit was advised they know that and anyone who complained was given a WiFi extender??. For the money we spent not worth it, will book a local Premier with air con next time.

This hotel has no lifts and lots of stairs. It is no good for anyone who finds stairs difficult. The rooms have no air conditioning and few sockets. Would only rate it 2/5

Generally a good start. Nice staff, well appointed room, and good breakfast. Room was cold though, radiator didn't come on at all during the stay (and there was snow and ice outside!). Also while I could connect to WiFi on phone there was no internet. Laptop connection was okay though

The trip started well with a very friendly welcome and a lovely gift of hot cookies. Unfortunately we were then told the restaurant was fully booked that evening so we had to venture into town, not ideal after travelling over 5 hours. We were also advised that the Spa and Swimming Pool were not available due to an issue and would be back in use the next morning, which turned out to be late afternoon . I made a booking for our party of 4 for the restaurant on the Saturday evening at 7pm with reception, bearing in mind it was fully booked on the Friday. When we turned up on the Saturday, we were advised that our booking had not been forwarded and there was no space and that we would possibly be able to get a seat in a couple of Hours!! There was no offer of alternative eating arrangements in the Terrace Bar, and when i took this up with the Reception Staff, their attitude was one, of not our problem, maybe we should go to the Marston Pub next to the Hotel or into Cheltenham. Poor communication and awful attitude tainted what could have been an enjoyable stay, coupled with no Spa and Swimming facilities for most of the break. This was my First Hilton experience, needless to say i wont be rushing to go with them again.

Loved that we could bring our dog and not charged for. We had a problem at first in that my wife is disabled and there were no lifts. The receptionist (Elle-May) changed our room so that we were as near to the car as possible. Restaurant food was excellent as well. Will definitely go there again 👍

The hotel and facilities were very good. The staff were excellent and worked very hard to make our stay perfect. However I booked a meal in the restaurant for 20:00 and was still waiting for starter at 21:15. In the end I cancelled the mail course. The following day for breakfast I ordered an omelette and this took over 45 minutes to be served. And finally when checking out it took over 20 minutes due to lack of staff.

when arriving for dinner in the restaurant we were told they couldn't accommodate us as they were short staffed in the kitchen. there were only 3 tables occupied & set seating for a hundred or more. "go to the bar there are snacks available there" Consequently we had no evening meal at all. No Lift if you've heavy bags & parking is a long walk.

Great location and setting. Reception staff very nice and helpful, a nice touch with a warm cookie. Comfortable bed. Good gym and spa facilities. Bar and breakfast staff were slow and unhelpful. Had to wait a very long time for our drinks after having to go back to the bar twice. It wasnt even busy. A very special thanks to Phil from the maintenance team, who had to step in and sort out the breakfast service. Overall a pleasant stay.

Last stay good. This stay awefull. 40 minute wait to check in. Rooms not ready. Restaurant closed. 1 hour wait for room service. Plastick packaging in food. Wrong order delivered, wrong wine delivered. No hot water in the room.

With a lake and stream and woodland. I enjoyed hearing the Tawny Owls hooting just behind the hotel, and seeing the Grey Wagtails taking food to their nest by the lake. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good to have electric vehicle charging on site too!

We had a lovely stay. We arrived earlier than expected but used the leisure facilities, unfortunately no disabled changing room only disabled toilets. We later checked in. We had stayed here previously and we were aware of the amount of stairs. As I have a disability we asked for a room which was more accessible. We were give a upgrade to room 405 and able to park close to the room, no steps or stairs. Room spacious and clean, very comfortable bed. There were bath robes but no slippers. Location and parking excellent, easy drive into Cheltenham. Breakfast was excellent except that the uncut bread was not replenished, no decaf cappuccino in the drinks machine. There was cooked meats but no tomato or cucumber available. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely property but very much an old building so a lot of walking to rooms, restaurant and pool areas going up and down stairs. Not ideal if you have a pram or lots of luggage. Picturesque location with a pub next door.

I didn't like that I was unable to eat in the restaurant on the night of my stay as it had been entirely booked out to a convention of visiting trainee clergy. I was given no warning that the restaurant would be closed to me either at the time of booking nor at any time prior to my arrival. At 2 minutes past 6 (I.E. immediately after the restaurant's advertised opening time) I arrived in the restaurant, keenly looking forward to enjoying a 'Wild Mushroom and Truffle Risotto' only to be told that it was closed to me as it had been booked from 6:15 until 9:00pm and that I could neither eat before, nor after the block booking. This is unsatisfactory as, had I known beforehand, I would have made alternative plans. A pizza in the bar, although decent enough, was scant substitute for my eagerly anticipated, and doubtless delicious, risotto. Finally, there were no signs posted anywhere within the hotel warning of the restaurant's closure/unavailability.

We enjoyed the visit, we did think the food in the bar and breakfast let it down, Hot breakfast was barely warm. No fresh crusty bread or rolls just sliced bread for toasting. We both had salad for main meal in the bar and it was very small, more like a starter. Staff very friendly and helpful and room very comfortable.

Everything we expected and more,staff very helpful room had all we wanted,except the loop i found myself in trying to set up an account to get wifi log in ,however it didnt detract from our stay of one night.Very clean,breakfast was very good with a great choice,will be back again.Thanks.

The bedding was really comfortable and all amenities were great, however, the breakfast wasn't as nice as it could be. The sausages were massively overcooked and the mushrooms were boiled or steamed which was a bit gross, they should be fried on a grill.

Fisrt night stay, restaurant was fully booked, but told we could order food from the bar. We did i ordered curry for £17 it had 4 bits of chicken the rest was vegatables and cold rice with soggy nam bread. We had to walk past the resturant to get to our room and im a smoker, every time i walked past i looked into the restaurant it had a maximum of 15 people and id say over 50% of the tables empty.
