Stayed 3 nights

Reception officer Grace was very helpful to locate an alernate room on a lower level. I paid extra to change to street facing room for my own preference. It was my own fault as it was a last minute booking, Rm 805 had some aircon control and bathroom's portable shower head issues and Grace was quick to arrange fixing. Re-locating to Rm 404 was swift after my day out and had all the ammenities in perfect working order.Aircon could be switched on and off at will to control the humidity and temperature to lower quickly. The humidity was rather high for my stay during the last week of August, besides the haze blown over from the annual forest fires in neighbouring Indonesia. A shout out to Mel at reception and Mona at security, both remembering me from previous stays over the years. A thank you to Mona for ordering my taxi back to airport and explaing the taxi set-up. Great to see the elderly porter uncle still there helping out. A big hello to Emily, too, whom I had missed greeting during the stay. Seeing many of the familiar staff faces over the years, the stay was very much like a home-coming and the option to extend my stay for extra 6 hours before leaving for the airport. My favourite Burger King at the corner has re-opened after some reno closure during my stay in 2024. Food stalls and retail outlets at Albert Complex/Bugis Street still abound with some changes, and Bugis Junction Mall only a few steps away. A great stay at the now, "second home", Summer View Hotel.

Spotless room, comfy, quiet! Great value stay! Location among the best, walking distance to a few good places like Bugs and Sim Lim Square (if gadgets/electronics are your thing) and direct access to Metro and a few bus lines that'll take you everywhere you'd wanna go!
