Hotel Calle Joaquin - San Luis Obispo

checked in and out on the same day Sat 5/16/2026. Homeless people going through the trash cans and hanging in the parking lot. Terrible place, looks NOTHING like the pictures online. Gross dirty rooms, even found a used large hair clip on the counter from the pervious guest. The floors were not vacuumed and filthy, mold and stains everywhere. The patio door not sealed at all. Very sketchy and not safe. I immediately checked out within 3 minutes of checking in and stayed at the brand new Hampton Inn down the street. The owner was a horrible human and would not refund my money even when I showed him pictures and he acknowledged it was dirty. Shady and sketchy place.

Fridge was broke. No tv channels thank god we brought the Xbox. The beds are rock hard but we love the pool and hot tub.

Good spot to spend the night

Parking was fine but little things like sliding door not on hinges and very tired looking stairwells knock off a star

The good: very nice outdoor hot tub with waterfall feature. Very comvenient location next to 101. Quick and professional check in. The bad: this place is old, run down, and need of lots of repair. There was a leak from the room above over our shower, with a great deal of water damage in the ceiling. Furniture was old. Fixtures including light switches and wall paneling were loose. Mattresses were of very poor quality and felt like a bag loose bag of springs. Would not recommend.
