I stopped here last-minute as I just needed a room for the night that had parking while working in the local area. It's a basic hotel, but it was good value - the room was comfy, and the staff were friendly. It's probably not a hotel to holiday at, but as a bed for the night it's ideal. You can park right in front, and it's right on the main road, so very convienient and easy to find. There is also a bar, but I arrived late, so it was already closed.

The worst stay I ever had there’s no light in bathroom and in room it self we have managed on our phone lights. On top of that the heater’s didn’t work there and the bed is so hard that we can’t even sleep.worst ever experience.

Booked here as this was a last minute booking. The price was quite good but the rooms were badly maintained. We had two rooms both has cracked floor tiles, cracked shower trays, laminated flooring parting, a hairdryer that wasn’t working, plug sockets hanging off the wall and showing wires, alongside TVs held on mounts with one bolt, there was no soap in the bathrooms and no towels. And the safes aren’t useable as the fascia has come away. The beds are also quite hard I didn’t find this a big problem being an easy and heavy sleeper myself but my partner slept very little. Very unlikely to return unless renovations happened. Seems to be a hotel that was once very good but has just not been maintained. Luckily we used our rooms mainly to store our belongings and a bed.

Staff very helpful and fiendly, tired furniture, dirty tv remotes, only screws in the bathroom where I assume a mirror used to be, no mirror at all in the room. For one night, considering the on-site free parking, had there been a mirror and clean remotes, reasonable value.

Arriving to an arrogant receptionist who even can’t speak English properly in UK and demanding security deposit in cash ending with terrible manager response and response while checking out. They allow marriages in their small bar area and I believe the hotel was just a 7-9 bedroom property with terrible odour, fuse lights and unprofessional staff however they mentioned outside that new management has take over. I would recommend to edit those remarks to goons has takeover.

Unfortunately the room and especially the bathroom was extremely dirty. There was very strong smell coming from the shower drain and it was blocked. From the window was very strong smell of weed and we couldn’t even open de window, actually even the room itself was smelling cigarette.

The staff was nice and the service was adequate There was a problem with the hot water. The walls, W.C., and the shower need a serious repair service. The mattress was horrible. The value for money was very good, however, you get what you pay for.

I booked a "Large Family Ensuite" with 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds for my cousin's family (2 adults and two kids) for 1 night on 31st May 2025, as this is close to my home. After checking in the front desk attendant lady showed us a very small double bed room with hardly any space on the sides, and said this is the only room available right now and there is extra £40 charge if you want the room that was booked. We showed the booking confirmation and after conversation with the manager they gave us the room we had booked. After all the argument and rudeness from the staff, they gave us a room with stinking toilet and no shower gel and towels. So disappointed with experience with this visit. It did not worth the money and time we paid for.

Honestly it was poor - we won’t return.

I wasn’t able to stay here. I arrived to be met by a very rude and unfriendly person who told me the system was down and she couldn’t find my booking and that hotels.com would refund me. This was close to midnight and I was made to drive 3 hours back to Manchester. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Charged me for a deposit, then on checkout, proceeded to charge me again for another deposit of the same value instead of refunding me. Waited 2 hours to sort, was then told that it has been refunded, just to find out that the original deposit hold had been taken away, the extra deposit total still stood?! Seemed like an absolute scam. Would’ve recommended this place if it wasn’t for the deposit saga. Unreal

We showed the booking confirmation and after conversation with the manager they gave us the room we had booked. After all the argument and rudeness from the staff, they gave us a room with stinking toilet and no shower gel and towels. So disappointed with experience with this visit. It did not worth the money and time we paid for.

The room was tiny. The towels we were given were dirty. The door got stuck the next morning and it had to be broken down for us to get out of the room. The staff is not bilingual. They do not speak English, which would be fine except it means that they don’t understand how to work the pin pad to reverse the 50£ deposit we had to give when we arrived. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.

The hotel is very tired. The room was very small and exceptionally hot. When the window was opened, thd outside noise was awful until the early hours. We booked 2 night but left in the morning after the first night, never to return

Terrible room, sockets loose, cupboard door clashes with door closer, bathroom door clashes with table chair no where else for it to go, broken tiles ols needs complete revamp. 22.50pm that night workers outside my window cutting pipes with a GRINDER!! Then banging away till 1am in the morning. No one said a word and at £70 for the night!!

I felt very closterforbic in the room. The amenities on the room were in adequate. The room could done with decorating. To provide tea/ coffee facilities it would have nice to have milk.

Arriving to an arrogant receptionist who even can’t speak English properly in UK and demanding security deposit in cash ending with terrible manager response and response while checking out. They allow marriages in their small bar area and I believe the hotel was just a 7-9 bedroom property with terrible odour, fuse lights and unprofessional staff however they mentioned outside that new management has take over. I would recommend to edit those remarks to goons has takeover.

We could not stay in this hotel. The room was disgusting, was greeted with a smell of drains and damp as soon as opened the door. Bedding was filthy, bathroom was just disgusting. We were greeted by a gentleman who advised us not to stay, when we got to room seen why.....DISGUSTING!

I arrived at 1:00 am and I was told the room was overbooked and had already been taken. I was told to contact Hotels.com, however, because of how late it was, I was given a very small room with a twin bed for me and my mom. This was unacceptable but given the circumstances I had no choice but to stay.
