I took my daughter to California (mother daughter trip) recently for UCLA USC and Pepperdine College tours. The SLS Beverly Hills was recommended by a trusted friend who travels often and also prefers a nice place to stay. This particular SLS was close to Beverly Hills/Rodeo for shopping; and just an Uber drive to all colleges (USC and UCLA) where she is interested in. We also visited local beaches and farmers markets just a very short drive from the hotel. The hotel is well taken care of, the staff is very accommodating and always helpful. The room was very clean and my 17 year old daughter LOVED the rockstar decor. I appreciated their car service who will drive you anywhere within a 2 mile radius (not pick up though). The rooftop pool/restaurant is also a VERY pretty place to sit in the sun watch the sunset or eat. Our ONLY complaint (which we kept to ourselves since he was so nice), would be the service at their restaurant on the first floor. The food was amazing, but it seemed like forever for our server to bring us the menu; the food; top off our drinks, etc.. Unfortunately he was talking amongst servers and seemed to forget we were there at times. I would recommend staying at the SLS Beverly Hills and will most likely stay there again with my daughters. Side Note - Pepperdine in Malibu (although only 1/2 hour away) now takes 2 hours to get to becuase the freeway is closed due to past fires. ALSO they are checking IDs to get in/residents really only).

This property was a very old, re-modeled property. Many things are outdated. No ice machines, no water stations to fill up water, the pool was dirty and cups were every where. Inside the room, there were limited outlets for electronics, there was no refrigerator in our room and the lighting in the room was so dark.

We enjoyed our time in SLS hotel. We stayed in 5 nights, they upgraded our room upon arrival which was great. Room was clean and quiet. Parking is only Valet and was 70$ per night which was expensive also WiFi is surcharge

This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. I was very impressed with the level of hospitality they provided to us. We asked for recommendations for dinner, and they provided several. From the moment we stepped on property, we felt like royalty. The valets were engaging, the doorman was great. We arrived early, and the front desk was able to find rooms for us to check in very early, and they allowed us to late check out. All of this worked with our transportation schedule. They have a courtesy van that will take you up to 3 miles away and drop you off. They were outstanding and we used it several times. Arriving early, we were ready for breakfast. The food was excellent. We were not disappointed. A massive thank you to Natalia, our waitress. She was extremely polite, so easy to talk to, and she provided us several spots to check out during the day as we were wandering around. The food was so good, we went down the next morning, and she came over to see how our day was. She is a gem for that hotel. Ask to sit in her section if you can!!! First class treatment all around. The pool deck is amazing on the roof. Get there early if you want a spot as it was full most of the day. What a place. We know we will stay here again when we make it back to town. Thank you so much for taking care of us.

This is a very nice hotel. I normally do not find that there is meaningful variation among hotels, but this was something different. Everything was stylish and thoughtful and the rooms were superior in design, furnishing and layout. The Fitness Center is very comprehensive, spacious and well maintained. The rooftop restaurant had good food and very good drinks, and was a beautiful place to go at night. Overall, I found it to be a special place.

For a 5 star Hotel you expect every amenity to be in your room, including a stocked minibar and at least a few bottles of water. Neither were present! When we called the front desk they told us management has decided no longer to provide this because no-one uses it, which i found very strange. At a best western you at least get some bottled water in the room, at a 5th of the price...

The pool scene here is AMAZING! 10 stars for that :) The service all-around was also amazing, both in the hotel, at the restaurants and at the pool. I can only give 4 stars though because although the front desk was very accommodating to give me a different room, my original room had that old bowling alley smell (like when you used to be allowed to smoke but now you can't anymore but you can still smell it) and you get the option of EITHER an enormous tub OR a shower. So if you just want to take a regular shower, you have to remember to request a room with a shower, or else you just have this big weird tub. Also to note, this hotel is super funky! Pictures of monkeys everywhere, red lighting and red carpets, mirrored doors that open up to the bathroom (like in addition to the actual door to the bathroom), and old artwork where it looks like clipart of axes and trumpets were added to it. LOL. Its just really strange! But overall, it was fun! Just odd! :)

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars For the price I paid, I honestly expected more. Unfortunately, my stay at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles didn't quite meet my expectations. I encountered a cockroach in the bathroom, and the light inside the glass cabinet wouldn’t turn off, which was quite annoying at night. There was also a strange-looking electronic contact that seemed unsafe to touch. I reported everything to the reception, and I must say Alex handled the situation very professionally – kudos to him for that. However, after this experience, I don’t plan on coming back.

The location was convenient and made it easy to get around the city, and the employees were friendly and pleasant to interact with. However, several issues made the experience less enjoyable. The carpet in the room felt dirty, especially around the corners where I could clearly see built-up dust that had not been cleaned. The room and hallways were also very dark, and the layout felt like a maze. It was harder than expected to find my room. I asked about the dog-sitting service listed on their website, but the staff had no information about it, which was disappointing. I also requested a printed room service menu, and the one I received turned out to be outdated. When I called to order, the actual menu was completely different. Lastly, the remaining balance invoice was confusing. The taxes and fees were listed in a way that made it hard to understand what I was actually being charged. This hotel is no where near 5 stars, biggest deceiving ratings , our shower ceiling was leaking cold water while the shower is on, there are no cameras in the hall ways, well well well overpriced. The reception “thanked me for the information given about the leaking shower to advise their repair team can look after it after we leave.

The lighting in this hotel is so dim you can barely see yourself in the mirror in your room while getting ready. The whole hotel has dim lighting. I don’t want to feel like I’m in a tunnel which is how I felt my entire stay the lighting is horrible in the rooms. Absolutely horrible. The location is ok.

We enjoyed the nice room, but the bathroom situation was less than satisfactory. The tub is ridiculous and the moving mirrored walls are heavy and not very usable. We’ve stayed at this hotel before and all the mirrors tend to make us feel like we’re in a theme park ride instead of a comfortable, beautiful room.

The hotel is billed as a five star property, but it does not live up to this standard at all. The room felt like a basic (all be it large) mid tier hotel. There were very few amenities, and the staff was just fine. The bathroom was dark and the tub was cracked. Everything felt a little run down. I would not return to this hotel. And it should not advertise as a five star location

Love the decor of the property - very stylish and fun. Unfortunately, the service was slow at almost every interaction, from breakfast downstairs to answering the front desk when I called to getting a bell hop to help us with our luggage. We were not impressed with this property. Jennifer the hotel "manager" was just awful with not a shred of customer service skills. She refused to have 2 items that we paid for brought up to the room for a disabled senior citizen at 11:00pm on a week night. Lexi was amazing before we even arrived to the property. I will NOT be staying here again.

Disastrous Stay at SLS Hotel - Avoid at All Costs I recently endured a nightmarish stay at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles. The service was consistently abysmal, with a rude and unhelpful staff from valet to bellmen. The check-in process was needlessly complicated, setting the tone for a terrible experience. The hotel's ambiance was disappointing—aged, malodorous, and poorly maintained. What set this hotel apart was its atrocious service. Incredible from start to finish! The hotel itself Is stunning but it’s the service that sets it way way above the others. Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly, helpful and went the extra mile. My 9year old will forever remember the kind gentleman working the door to the hotel on the day we checked out. He saw she was feeling a little off and surprised her with a monkey stuffy. Such a class act, SLS.

I booked the room through Expedia, they confirmed the room at the desk however after getting to the room it was not right they gave me a room with two full beds instead of the king bed which was reserved and confirmed at check in. To make things worse I was never told about the change until my bags were brought up and I got to the room. In addition, it was my anniversary and this incident placed a huge hamper on the entire trip. I’m very unhappy and would not recommend or consider staying here or at any other Marriott properties in the future if this is what’s to be expected. Specifically due to the lack of accountability and unwillingness of the staff to correct the situation when the issue was presented to them.

Overall it was as a positive experience until we came for our luggages. Check in & check out experience was easy, service was great. Employees at the front desk were very polite, smily and patient especially when you have some entitled rude hotel guests trying to cut lines, speaking over them while they are assisting others. Valet very polite and helpful. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Beautiful hotel, great location. The complimentary car service wasn’t working during our stay. Upon checking out we left our luggages with the front desk bellmen to roam around. When we came back to collect our items we asked the gentleman who was handling the luggages at that moment to help us take ours to the outdoor entrance with their luggage cart since we had serval heavy luggages that would require multiple trips & the cart would allow for one trip without hurting ourselves because the carpets make rolling luggages out challenging and we were told no. It was a big turn off as a first timer at SLS a luxury hotel at steep prices. Seems like once they have received our money service stops immediately after. During our stay someone politely always opens the door upon exist and entry. Once checked out with a bunch of luggage no helped with holding the door or lend a hand while they saw us struggling with our luggages. It was a great experience until the end. A luxury 5* hotel should provide until you leave the property. We had different treatment from other guest from what we saw.

So I had an important call to take one morning during my stay. The business center was occupied. I went down and asked for a quiet place and Maria was so nice to put me in a super office / meeting room. Few mins later she brought me a nice cup of tea with some sweets. She went above and beyond to put me perfect conditions for a very critical meeting / interview I had. GREAT STAFF!!!

I was traveling with a senior family who needed assistance getting around. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We felt like home! Location is great and they even have free car services within 3 (or 5?) mile radius. Highly recommend if you’re looking for lodging options in Beverley Hills area.

Overall, the hotel was nice and we had a great stay. The concierge even offered a late check out without me having to ask - that was great! The best service we experienced during our stay was hands down at the pool. We went up for coffee and breakfast, and everything from start to finish was fantastic. Our servers/bartender, Joseph and Marielle (apologies if I’ve misspelled her name!), were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. If you’re staying at the SLS, be sure to stop by the 6th floor pool deck for breakfast/brunch—you won’t regret it. And if you’re lucky, Joseph and Marielle will be there to make your morning even better.

Pretty and comfortable rooms. Amenities above & beyond most hotels in the similar class. Staff is excellent with welcoming smile and willingness to help. Loverly breakfast at Nook with very good quality of food. Over all a wonderful experience way above expectation.

First time staying at this SLS. It did not disappoint. If u are spending time on the Westside it’s great location. We spent time on Melrose, Rodeo, and other areas shopping. Easy to get downtown. Not far from freeways to get other places. Wonderful breakfast and great rooftop bar/restaurant. Service was impeccable.

They don’t tell you the restaurant is closed for the season. Wouldn’t have stayed here if that was the case. No mini bar, no room service after 9:30. I was told there was water in my room and there was not so I called twice to have water delivered and it never came.
