Stayed 2 nights

The lobby smells. Front doors don’t work.. we stayed for 2 nights on the 3rd floor. Elevator marked inoperative 40% of the time, couldn’t use. Room condition ancient. Exterior room /deck area paint peeling badly worn. Pool unavailable and were told it’s under construction. Paid >$700for the 2 nights, I was totally ripped off. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Avoid.

Arrived for a long weekend. When I booked, it did not say anything about the pool being closed for renovations. Which is a reason I booked, in case we had rainy weather (and we did). The front doors were broken and there was construction material in the lobby. The lobby is very dark and the lobby bathrooms are on the second floor. Front desk agents, friendly but didn’t give us an overview of the property. Didn’t mention coffee in the lobby and didn’t mention the pool was closed. There was a deck area to sit, with a lot of seats and a nice view but it wasn’t maintained and the cushions were everywhere. There was caution tape on part of the railing. We had what would be considered a balcony but no access to the deck area. The windows in our room were huge, no curtains, just pull down roll shades. Since we were on the level of the deck everyone could see into our room. So the blinds stayed closed and the room felt Like we were in the basement. The bathroom was extremely small. A cruise ship has a bigger bathroom. The first morning we were woken up by the cleaning staff banging on all the doors announcing their service to clean. The doors are very thin and you can hear people opening and shutting the doors all morning and evening long. The cleaning staff was amazing and very attentive to anything we needed(towels). There are several shops to check out and restaurants close. if you are going to the beach the location is great but the hotel needs some updating for sure.

Great location, friendly staff, clean room. My 2 teenagers loved the outdoor lounge on the second floor with beautiful views of the ocean.

The hotel was great! AJ at the front desk was incredible and so helpful. I would definitely stay at the Aqua Blue again! It’s a great location! Spring for the balcony and water view. It’s def worth it!

The lobby was lovely - nice seating areas and complimentary beverages. The room was very nice. The shower and jacuzzi tub were very good (great water pressure and temperature). One big disappointment was that info on multiple sites state microwave in room. Apparently they removed microwaves from rooms, and for some people, this is an important amenity. Also, no auto doors - broken and no sign of repairing them.
