The staff was courteous and professional. The beds was comfortable too.Kids loved the swimming pool.

I would just like to recommend a little bit of a well rounded fitness room. There wasn’t much to work with and a lot of dumbbells missing.

Very nice place to stay, especially if you're going to the casino. Try to get a room on the upper floor if possible. No thrills or frills but clean. Pool is also nice. Been here multiple times. No problems. Hopefully, they fixed some of the exercise equipment. Multiple food places around. 9/10.

I liked everything except not enough parking

Location was great. Hotel felt a little older but decent overall. Great pool and breakfast. We came while they were doing new roof so it was a little loud.

Close to the casino. We were on the 1st floor and the internet signal was very week.

You can’t beat the location. Walkable to casino. Check in was fast and staff was courteous. Parking is tight and somewhat limited. Property was clean inside and out. No one wandering around.

Staff was great. Fast and friendly. Parking was a challenge at night. Not enough spaces had to find parking to far from building.

We have stayed before. Spent 2 nights. Overall good experience. One of our rooms had a funky smell. Ended up finding a half eaten corn dog under the bed.

Worst Holiday Inn I’ve ever stayed at. Smelt like mildew and smoke. There was pubic hair al over the bathroom floor and vanity. The bed had the worst mattress I’ve ever had at a hotel. This place should be ashamed of its self.

The employees were very helpful and nice. The only complaint was the layer of dead ladybugs and dust under the air conditioning unit in our room.

There was mold on the bathroom wall, the bathroom fan did not work and the whole room smelled musty. My husband mentioned the issue to the front desk and they did nothing about it. We will not be returning to your hotel.

Tub was dirty had hair from previous guest still in it.

I arrived late at the hotel and didn’t check my sheets, wake up the next day to my whole body covered in bug bites. Checked the sheets and the bed was completely infested with bed bugs I recorded them and took the sheets to the front desk and showed them the bugs. They proceeded to tell me there is nothing they can do.DO NOT STAY HERE. I honestly have never had a worse experience with a hotel and now fear I am bringing these bugs home

Room smelled of mildew and mold even after hvac ran for bit. Smelled as though room had been flooded.

The noise from TVs in adjacent room was very bad... We were able to listen to a TV program without having our TV on

This hotel really needs an update! Very old feeling…the positives were bed was comfy and great location to casino. Oh the breakfast was HORRIBLE!

Tile on the base of bathroom cracked and almost falling off. Bath tub is peeling away. The layer of resin on the tub is wearing and needs to be repaired.. The king bed needs to be replaced. When I laid down on it the bed I immediately felt gravity pull me to the center of the bed due to it being broken. Either was the base of it or the mattress that was worn. It was squeaky.. plus on the head board there was a splash of something on their not sure what it was.

Comfortable beds, spacious room and bathroom, very clean.

2 Queen bed with pull out couch-room was absolutely huge! Outdoor pool looked really nice but didn’t stay long enough to use it. Breakfast was good.

This was a HUGE room. Right across from the casino that has great restaurants, and 50% off the arcade during the week. Great, quick stay!

The property is good all things except that the insulation is not great. The noisy neighbors can easily affect you.

Hotel was nice and location good. The only issue was the walls seemed very thin for a holiday inn. We could here every word the people’s next to us were saying and also the noise from their tv. Otherwise the shower was great and bed comfortable

Holiday Inn Express in Cherokee NC was an excellent place to stay. The room was spacious and quiet, the free breakfast was good, and all of the staff were friendly.

Check In took longer while the rooms where not ready at 3pm

The rooms here were okay, not as nice as most Holiday Inns, but the staff at check in were friendly. The casino is right across the road and an easy walk. We actually went there to gamble and eat the first night. However, the next morning when we were preparing to leave our room to eat, we discovered my wife’s purse had been stolen from her suitcase. We notified the front desk and the manager. They examined our door lock, asked us about the purse, its location, color, etc. The electronic exam of the door lock showed our departure and arrival back to the room, but no there’s. I asked if the master key cards show, and was told they didn’t. I told them to check their cameras and see who came into the room while we were out. The manager never got back to me. When we returned to our room late the second night, we found my wife’s purse had been returned and placed back in her luggage. Someone had once again, entered our room without our permission, this time to return the item stolen. The manager never came back with any information on her investigation. We definitely will not be staying here on future trips to Cherokee.

My husband and I stayed on 7/4, arriving after 11pm. The staff were not logged in and didn’t seem interested in logging in to get me into my room. The woman passed the buck to the gentleman who said he also wasn’t logged in. There was no offer of assistance to the room or questions if we needed any assistance. It was like being there was a nuisance. The night was awful. The curtains are not long enough to block out light, and the door lets in a full rectangle of blinding light. Even with sleep masks, it was very difficult to find darkness. The noise was quite intense. I can understand July 4th, but to not reign in the noise in the establishment seems ridiculous.

The greeting agent (Elisa?spelling) was very friendly and helpful. She got me checked in and reviewed elements of my stay. During my stay Shauna was helpful and friendly by greeting me each day as I passed by. She was helpful when I asked questions. The breakfast was excellent (like what I fixed at home).

Erin at the front desk was wonderful. The entire staff at breakfast were friendly, efficient and professional.

Several of the employees went out of their way to greet us throughout the stay. Property is clean and convenient to the Casino. I did have an issue with leaving some personal property in the room that was valuable after we checked out. Upon calling a few hours later, the management helped secure this for me until I could pick up the following day. Good to know that kindness and honesty are still alive and we are grateful to the staff.

I was very disappointed that I had to wait 1hour and 30 minutes for the 3pm check-in. They did not accommodate me with anything to address their shortcoming.

We were traveling with 2 adults and 2 children. We booked the King suite that sleeps 4 people with pull out couch. We paid nearly $300 for this room. Everything was lovely in the hotel itself. The problem came when I went to get linens for the pull out couch-was told I could only have one pillow. Even though the couch was for 2 people. I then explained that I had 2 children and had paid extra for the room for 4 people the GENERAL MANAGER DOUG TAYLOR said no. Then I asked for the complimentary rollaway bed and was again denied that. I had to BEG for a pillow. Finally he said “fine, I will give YOU a pillow and then tell the next guest they cannot have a pillow because YOU took it” and stormed off. It was humiliating and frustrating since it was a financial burden to even be at this hotel but then to be treated like that. I then called my husband and he came down and was treated the same-he recorded the incident for proof. I then called Expedia and they argued with me that I didn’t have the room I booked even though my kids were sleeping in said pullout couch and my receipt had on it “King suite with additional living area, sleeps 4” so Robert with Expedia would also do nothing to make this right. The whole thing was frustrating and left a bad taste in my mouth for this establishment and for Expedia. I spoke with the morning manager about the incident and she apologized but again, nothing was done to make it right.

4pm in the afternoon and no one has cleaned our room and this happened TWO DAYS in a row. Had to ask for towels, etc.

Outstanding front desk staff. Spouse had a health emergency which required a ER visit. All the night/day staff went above and beyond what they had to. No problem extending our stay. Offered to provide any assistance we needed. Checked in to see how spouse was. At exit, asked spouse how he was feeling and wished him well. Would definitely recommend.

The property was nice but there was limited dining and very noisy due to being directly across from the casino.

LOVED this hotel. It is across the street from the casino. Staff, room, comfort, cleanliness and the free breakfast were all top notch. Highly recommend this hotel

Hotel is walkable to casino and convenient to many restaurants.

Front desk ladies were super nice and helpful. They smiled and took the time to have a conversation with us. They were invested in us as people not just as customers. We loved the location of the hotel to the casino. It was a nice walk across the street along the river.

Loved the fact that a complimentary breakfast was included. Excellent location to casino. Bathrooms needed some updates, but overall very nice experience. Staff was excellent!!

This property is in such a good location. The staff always greeted with a smile. The breakfast was very good and well stocked. Will be back to stay here when in Cherokee!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. One of our kids got sick while we were there, and the front desk staff were very helpful with getting new sheets at 11pm and scrounging up extra towels for us. The breakfast attendant was very helpful and on top of things. She was a bit overwhelmed because she had a half dozen things that needed refilling all at once and didn't have any help from front desk. The pancake machine took a lot of her time making it work properly, but the pancakes were yummy when it did work properly. The hotel does need to figure out extra towels because when I went and asked for extra towels both nights we were there, the lady at the front desk made it seem like there weren't many extra towels and she might not be able to find any. Overall, our stay was fun and we enjoyed our time in Cherokee.

Bed sucked. Hard and springs poking you. TV channels only worked occasionally. Air wasn't working in room when we got there but they replaced the unit and fixed that. Had to go downstairs to get towels. People were mostly friendly. great location if you are going to casino. breakfast was the same everyday and needed some variety.
