The lobby, hallways, and elevator were hot. The hotel is renovating (something i did not know when i booked) so hallway carpets and elevator were dirty. The two ice machines i found did not work. The room was fine good size, the A/C worked well, the bed was soft, and the room was clean and quiet. My only complaint about the room is no carpeting on the floor.

Booked this hotel last minute for my family of 4 and I. The location is great you’re close to San Marcos River and/or Austin. We arrived and were checked in. There was a weird smell in the hallways, the elevator was raggedy( but worked.) luckily the weird smell was not in the rooms. The room was clean and breakfast was good in the morning. The pool was a NO GO as it was DIRTY! You couldn’t even see under the water. It was a good place to stay for the night but wouldn’t recommend for a consecutive stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However the property needs attention . Windows were so dirty, and in general just needs and uplift.

The hotel was old and needed a lot of up keep. Their were leaks in ceiling causing water damage in ceiling. The worst part is that is was very hot and my family wanted to come and enjoy the outdoor pool and the pool was not working. Dirty water and that was the reason i picked the hotel. Very upset.

Elevator didn't work the entire week. Dead roach in the hallway for days even after the staff picked up the garbage can it was near. Kitchen staff was super nice and room service was timely.

Upon check in, the clerk was friendly but the process was a little slow. Once in our rooms, I was surprised at the condition. There was a pair of dirty socks on the floor, a stained or dirty tub and a dirty bathroom vanity. I had to get hand and wash towels because there were none. There was a little red flashing light coming from the light switch in the bathroom. Could have been a camera, I don’t know but I covered it just in case. The furniture was dirty looking and the entire suite outdated. There were no cell phone charging outlets and the air conditioner was loud and sounded labored. There was only one remote control for two televisions. The entire property is outdated and dirty. The pool area was a mess, rusted and broken furniture and dirty pool. The hall and stairway carpeting is stained, the elevator needs updating and the lobby furniture needs cleaning or updating. The exterior door locks were not working at the exits so no security. I cannot believe I paid the high price charged. I spent almost $500 for a suite and two king rooms for the equivalent of a $50 motel in a bad neighborhood. The hot breakfast was cold unless you made a waffle. Powdered eggs and microwave bacon. Never again. Gross property.

My family and I have stayed at many La Quinta properties over the years and this one was unfortunately one of the lowest quality ones we've stayed at. The carpet in the hallways was old, dirty, and beat up looking, as were the walls. The rooms were not cleaned well, lots of hair and various debris on the bathroom floor, mold on the walls-- the carpet in the room was very dirty with an obvious trail in "high traffic areas". The curtains in my room were literally shredded to ribbons and instead of replacing them, the strips of fabric were just tied in knots. One of the two rooms we booked had a door that was literally falling off the hinges and had to be lifted up in order to make the door close and the locks latch (we didn't say anything to staff as we were exhausted from traveling all day and just wanted to rest). The worst part of this experience was that there was construction that began around 7-8am that we were not notified of before booking. There was signage on property, but no attempt was made to notify me before my reservation was made.

This property was in dire need of updates and maintenance. The floors were filthy, our toilet seat was broken (immediately fell onto the floor upon initial use), and both curtains were ripped (huge holes).

This location is under renovation, the hotel is very dusty in hallways, our room refrigerator was leaking had water on floor, baseboards were dusty. Bathroom had gnats in tub, dead bugs in bathroom also. Definitely will not return to this location

The hotel was EXTREMELY DIRTY AND NASTY. I UNDERSTAND RENOVATIONS BUT FOR THE HALLWAYS AND ELEVATORS AND ROOMS TO BE DIRTY IS INEXCUSABLE. THE TOILET IN ROOM 308 KEPT FLUSHING ON ITS OWN. First problem-no notice of renovation Went to room, didn’t get that good of a look as we had to leave right away. Our bad. Second problem-state of room. No toilet paper or even toilet paper dispenser. Bathtub looked as if someone put cleanser on and then left it. The floor in the bathroom was seriously dirty. The floor in the hallway was atrocious. There were no light bulbs in the lights next to bed, no electrical to far side of bed. The list goes on, but you get my drift. Went and discussed with gentleman at desk the next morning. He was not happy that I wanted money back for second night because I was not staying again. Late night first night kinda stuck. This property should not be booking rooms while renovating. These conditions are not suitable.

This was hands down the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. I paid extra for the best suite. There was blood all over the floor and fecal matter on the bathroom walls. There was a large crack in the plastic shower with mold growing everywhere. I booked for two nights, checked in exhausted and packed up my stuff the next morning and just left. The staff was kind, but this level of filth cannot possibly be safe. This hotel shouldn’t book any rooms until these extreme situations are resolved. Absolutely grossed out! Do NOT book this property!!!

The carpet was dirty. The curtain had a large tear in it. The bed smelled like pee. When I put on some heat it smelled like a fire was brewing. No kleenex in the kleenex box. One of the seating chairs had a white stain. The glass mirror in the bathroom had lots of water stains. It was the most filthiest experience I ever had.

This property should close until it's renovated. Even then, they need better cleaners. I'm surprised Expedia is offering this property for rent. The halls are hot, smelly, and stained. The room was run down and everything falling apart. Very dirty, too. Walls nasty. Even has roaches! I couldn't believe how bad this hotel was. Then we were woke up at 5am with noisy construction happening right above our room. Couldn't possibly sleep during this noise! We will never take the chance of staying at another La Quinta. I do want to say the only good thing I can about this place, the breakfast lady was great!

Refrigerator was not working. 1st room was smelly and the furniture was all banged up. They moved us to different room, The second room, refrigerator was also not working properly, but we dealt with it. Room was cleaner and furniture was in better condition.

I didn’t like having to ask for wash cloths multiple times only to have our towels changed every day for our 3-night stay w/o replacing what we had, incl. our bath mat, so we had to ask again. I left a note on the bathroom counter to please just leave the used towels & we would re-use them, but no one paid any attention to that. I also didn’t like how dirty the hallway carpets were & stairs carpets & there were a lot of worn places on the walls around the edges that needed paint to cover chips, etc. I know they are remodeling right now, which is good b/c the whole property needs it. Also, the set up of our 2-queen suite room s/have been flipped. The family member on the sofa sleeper froze during the night b/c the rest of us on the beds were too far away from the AC, so we had it on high but were still hot…made it difficult to sleep well for all.

Went for an overnight stay to see friends get married. Room was good except the lock on the door wouldn’t lock, the pillows were hard and the mattress was very firm as well. There was a herd of kids upstairs wrestling most of the night and morning as well. Best to pick an upstairs room I guess.

Check in was a breeze no issues. Elevator was out of service at that time but not a issue for us. The room was spacious and the bed was good. The furniture looks a little tired as the wood had paint chips from careless boarders. The price we got the room for was excellent so can't complain on that.

The bed was comfortable, the a/c was cold. I felt safe, the room and shared areas were clean and the staff was helpful. I didn’t try the breakfast but the coffee tasted good. I plan to stay here the next time I visit Kyle.

The entrance was tricky i passed it because the one that is isnt clear. Check in was easy, staff was ok (not friendly but not rude). The room was nice and cold and the bed was comfortable. But we didnt know they were doing construction and our room had paint splatter everywhere, the restroom door didnt close because it was poorly sized and they didnt sweep the room which was obvious by the dust bunnies. It made me wonder if the sheets were even changed when i thought about it more. They did have signs by the elevator apologizing for the construction but i would have prefered the room we were in was not still a work in progress. It looks like it will get better but for now, i was not thrilled.

On the outside the hotel looks good. The rooms on the other hand need improvement. My room door wouldn’t close properly. I had to lift my door up in order to close. My curtain was torn, the water valve on the shower was spraying out when the valve was opened for the shower. The shower head adjuster handle was broken and we couldn’t change the shower head settings.

Could not connect the internet to my laptop. Staff could not resolve the problem. Was told the mgr would be in the next day and would compensate us, due to not having internet. The next day found the elevator broken, had to push button approx 20 times to get the door to open and once inside the elevator we also couldn't get the button for floor selection to work. Staff working the front desk claimed the elevator was functional and the mgr was out of town. Gave us the number to call the mgr but it was for the front desk, which staff answered and told us the mgr had no voicemail. Asked for the corporate number and she gave us a non-working phone number. Let me begin with the impeccable and professionalism of the front desk attendant from July 7th evening shift. We arrived and were put on the floor that was undergoing massive construction. The smell of paint, the carpet outside the room was ripped out, paint stains inside our room and the restroom was vile; toilet broken and tub full of paint, debris and rust. Went down and room was switched. This room was a tad better, but the hallway looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in DAYS! Trash and wrappers all over the hall. The smell was overwhelming. We ended up staying because there was no other choice. We showered at a family members home that was near by. All we did was sleep there. This was a horrible experience. The second lady we encountered working the front desk was rude and looked like she just didn’t want to be there. Money just thrown away.

The men that was working around eleven o'clock today was very rude and unprofessional. I had to call and speak with him on 2 separate occasions.And both times he provided very poor customer service. The hotel itself is old and dated .smells of mold. The elevator does not work and it made it very inconvenient. They gave us a conjoined room that the door does not lock between the 2 rooms. And we only needed one room, so that's definitely a safety issue. The girl in the evening at Check-in never made eye contact with us and was also unfriendly and lacked customer service skills. The ruin bathrooms are dirty overall.It's just a gross feeling and I will not recommend this hotel.Nor will I ever stay here again. We were desperate for a place to stand had. We had other options. We definitely would not have stayed here after seeing the conditions and the customer service that we experienced.

She was there Thursday and Friday night too and just laughed at me every time she saw me come in . I will never stay here again

The Daytime Employees were AWESOME! However, the Night staff a front desk (a man) wasn’t helpful at all. Any question I had it was like trying to pry information from him to get a basic question answered. I had booked a ground floor room and he said no we are full. The person at the front desk, TRACY, was exceptional! She pulled a 24 hour shift while we were there and kept everything going great! She was friendly and cheerful! The breakfast & coffee was great both mornings we were there! We usually pass but not at this location. The problem we encountered was the driveway is not well marked. There is a new driveway just beyond the one to la Quinta abs it looks like the one we should use. Obviously we missed the turn in twice. At night it is at least lite up but the little posts that are illuminated are kind of short for as tall as the grass is around d them. Seems it would ni be terrribky expensive to fix this problem. The other complaint I have would be the pillows. They were too hard. We made it but softer pillows would be really nice. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

The room was very clean. Towels and bathroom stocked well. Family enjoyed the pool. Snacks were stocked and reasonably priced. We travel to that area at least once a month. We won't stay anywhere else. Breakfast was great and there was plenty. Atmosphere was fun and plenty of room. Great stay!
