Overall was a good weekend. The views were stunning and property itself is great. There were a few challenges - 1 there was dead mouse in the middle of one of the guest bedrooms upon check in. This indicated to us that the house hadn’t been cleaned recently. 2 - the WiFi didn’t work at all on our first day. 3 - there is a guest house on the property that was also rented to other tenants. This was not advertised anywhere. The other tenants did not know that we had a dog and left the gate wide open causing our dog to get loose.

Everything was great about the property but you don’t want to arrive (or leave) at night in the dark. Very dangerous roads leading up the mountain. Beautiful views and great house. Would stay there again.

Beautiful house with amazing mountain view. The pool was very clean and temperature was great with the recent warm weather. The additional entertainment items - air hockey, ping pong etc were great. Kitchen was stocked with plenty cooking utensils but bring all your own supplies (food, cooking spray, etc) as there are no base supplies. A few extra towels/ washcloths would be nice as we were one short for number of reg guests. There were no directions / check out instructions in the house or received from host.

Unfortunately, we had multiple issues during our stay and I cannot recommend this property. The air conditioning was not working on an extremely hot day. The temperature inside the house reached 89 degrees. We inspected the central air unit and it was clear that the filter was extremely old and in need of replacement. It was blocking airflow and the compressor froze over. We’re greatly disappointed that the owner was unable to remedy the situation and unwilling to offer us compensation when we requested after the visit. This is unforgivable considering the property is listed as being air conditioned and we would not have rented otherwise. The refrigerator was also not working properly when the house got hot, reaching an internal temperature of 54 degrees. The kitchen counter and cupboard were also covered in ants when we arrived. Our check in process was unnecessarily complicated. The lock box was difficult to open, and even once we were able to open it, it was missing a key inside. We had to contact the owner, who guided us to a spare key in an unsecured location. Finally, we feel foolish for having paid extra to have the pool heated. I suppose that’s on us, but I am confident that the heater did not use any energy, so the heating fee was pure, unearned profit for the owner.
