Hampton Inn by Hilton Springfield

The rooms were spacious and very clean. I love that they are pet friendly. We had a very nice stay. The staff was very friendly. The only thing that kept it from a five star review was that I noticed the paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom. I would atest that to not having a fan in there to remove the humid air from the shower.

Our room was not cleaned and was not cleaned during our stay even after requesting it. I had to ask for clean towels, toilet needed repair, and elevator was out. We were on the third floor and my 89 year old mother had to tackle the stairs several times before the elevator was repaired. We should have been compensated for this and was not.

TV did not work. Had to change rooms. No cart available and only one staff there to assist

Property is clean and quiet . Front desk staff was nice but I had an issue with my door lock. After breakfast I couldn’t get back in. We reset my keys 2 times . Went back to the 3 to floor two times . 3 rd time they said door needed a battery and someone would meet me to let me in. I sat and waited so long I had to walk downstairs 2 times to see if they were coming and I called . No one came even though the staff kept walking by . Finally front desk ask housekeeping to use their key and let me in. I was an hour late for my appointment after that. The staff has communication issues . Needs to be someone that can translate to inside proper communication at all times. I ended up leaving and staying at the Hampton in Nashville/Smyrna . Much better.

Phone and refrigerator did not work. Requested accessible room and did not get one. I am on oxygen and had to walk to the end of the hall for our room

Elevator & phone were broken, breakfast bar was dirty & dairy products unrefrigersted, and my partner has suspicious insect bites on his arm. We are concerned there may be bed bugs.

My Wife and I stayed for two days. The room was small (No couch, or lounging area) but was extremely clean, housekeeping was very helpful, pool was nice. This had all the basic thing we needed and was very nice. Bed was very comfortable as well.

Our first morning the elevator broke down (we were on the third floor). Later that day the key card wouldn’t unlock the side door. That had to be reprogrammed. Then the door to our room would not lock. I had to request another room in order to be able to leave to attend a family function. The toilet in the new room would not stop running unless the handle was jiggled.

Very clean, great breakfast and dog friendly! We had a complete hassle-free stay.

This place is not how it looks in the pictures! Old and not in great condition.

No fan in bathroom, therefore has mold

I asked for a room on the first floor for my mobility issues. The front desk person gave us a room near the back door on the first floor for ease of getting in and out. Very considerate! Everything was very neat and clean and comfortable. Plastic utensils to eat with. Not eco-friendly and difficult to eat with.

Check in was very slow. Reception did not acknowledge others waiting that there was an issue or apologize for the wait. There was hair in my shower. Breakfast had zero options for allergies. Whole milk, whole yogurt, coffee creamer. That took oatmeal, cereal and yogurt off the menu. My bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet.

Needs someone to do maintenance and deep clean. Mold on shower and door kept sliding open, water on floor. Sink faucet was so loose it could be pulled out of sink. 3 tries at door key, wrong room, someone was in there already. Breakfast was ok, not kept stocked. Carpets dirty and stained, etc... Not normal for a Hampton.

This was undoubtedly the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. We always try to stay in Hampton Inns because we can count on being comfortable. We were very disappointed.

The bed was probably one of the worst beds I’ve ever slept in. It’s is super hard and makes so much noise every little movement you do. Other than this the place is fair.

Very friendly and helpful staff; bed was excellent - pillows were a little lacking in head support.

The staff was extremely accommodating. We hosted our family reunion at the Hampton Inn with over 70 relatives visiting with us. From the people cleaning the rooms, to the lady serving breakfast, to the lady at the front desk and Mynon was awesome. She literally catered to our family to ensure our every need was met.

I prepaid for two nights on hotels.com. After the first night the Hampton Inn Springfield demanded payment for the second night. I offered to show proof of my payment for two nights, they declined and offered no relief. At this critical juncture, I was in a fierce quandary, as my elderly mother was staying in the room for a visit with family who reside locally in Springfield. After a cursory evaluation of my situation it was evident thatI had no choice but to pay for the second night, paying double the amount for which I previously contracted. The owner, a man who spoke broken English, explained that they have this problem all of the time with third party bookings. That statement struck me as a bit odd. I have booked many timed with hotels.com and I am a Silver member. I have even prepaid a few times. Now, to me, an honest and ethical individual, It seems logical that if this problem has happened before, the owner or manager, that spoke broken English, would simply not require prepayment and have guests pay at check in. So my advice would to be to NOT book prepaid at this hotel. Honestly, I would stay at Holiday Inn Express, my sister stayed there and was more than satisfied. IHG is likely operated in a more ethical manner by people who share good values and proper business ethics.

Its a good place convenient and Staff are so nice “Mynon”. Everything was easy and if you need something they attend to your needs.

The stay was good, but there was a lady that fell down and the desk clerk lady didn’t asked her if she was OK or try to help. My wife said she just stood there. My wife asked she was OK. The lady that fell said thank you to my wife for asking if she was OK I think the people need to do a little better with your customers

From before I walked in I had spoken with Promise at the front desk with a request. She set my mind at ease and assured me I would be taken care of. And she absolutely did what she said. She treated me with a smile and she was so nice and helpful. My flight arrived earlier than expected and I wanted to see if I could check in early as I was in town for a funeral. She went above and beyond assisting me and getting my room ready early. She was so kind and courteous. And when my family arrived later, she again was nothing but helpful and sweet. Her name fits her well. She definitely delivered what she promised. Promise is a definite keeper.

The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable like normal. The exceptional part were the staff! They went above and beyond from the minute I checked in to every fantastic breakfast to every entry and exit! They were so friendly and interested in our stay and as a person. I will always stay here when visiting! Great work to the mgmt staff! And team.

This was a terrific place to stay near my son for his baby shower and local antiquing. Was in a central location for Springfield. Lots of local places to see and easy travel to other great spots to eat, drink and shop!

Passing through for the night off I65, and this was a Great place to stay outside of Nashville.

The hotel was clean and a good option for the nights stay. About 15 minutes from the highway though.

Place was clean. Bed was not as comfortable as others. Mattress feels old and slightly has middle indentation. Free breakfast has a lot of choices. Overall good place to stay.
