Comfort Inn Murray – Salt Lake City South

We called ahead asking if the pool would be open and if there would be any maintenance during our stay and they assured us there wouldn’t be. The pool was closed from 9am to 3 pm because they put way too much chlorine in. Many people complained of rashes and destroyed hair. They don’t know how to maintain their pool so if you are going to book this for the pool go somewhere else!!

We have stayed here numerous times. We find it comfortable and convenient. The breakfast is very nice. The staff personnel are helpful and friendly. There is ample parking and iit is in a safe area. We had great anemities and the room was very clean. It was a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel needs a serious update. Our tub had rust spots all over the bottom of the tub. It made it look dirty even when hidden by the bath mat. We wanted to use the pool/hot tub told the pilot light was out and the guy is coming. Well the guy never showed so we weren’t able to use the pool/hot tub. Breakfast was okay, but nothing to write home about. We only ate there the first day that’s how disappointed we were. We found a long dark hair on our sheets called and asked for a clean set, those never came. We were there for five days and since we had already paid for the room we were stuck. One night they had a baseball or basketball team come in. They ran up and down the halls after ten pm. I went and asked for assistance and of course that was ignored. So I bit my mean mom face on and made my point and after that it was quiet. But why should I have to be doing this? Front desk should be handling their guests. Was everything horrible no, perfect no, but we survived!

The property was under exterior renovation so parking was limited. The construction was not a problem and the rooms were very quiet. The interior needs renovation and thus would be difficult for any staff to keep really clean. For a comfort inn it was run down in general. The breakfast selection was fine, but seemed stale.

Rooms were fine. We were right by one exit and it got pretty loud with people leaving and entering. Beds were ok. Clean rooms. The pool was heated but the hot tub was luke warm at best. People were friendly and nice.

We couldn’t use the pool due to the houes. Wish we could have. We were in town for sports and didn’t get back until after 10. Couldn’t bring sick kid food to room. We put a do not disturb up and I asked one of the housekeeping if we could get some towels and she told me I had to go to the front desk. I went to the front desk and I was given one towel so we had one extra towel the whole time we were there for four of us. The employees were nice. It just felt like we paid a lot more than what we got.

Room was great. The pool/hot tub was horrible. Pool was not heated as advertised and the spa had so much chlorine in it that it burned your eyes just sitting in the water. Breakfast was great also but we pick rooms for the purpose of the hot tub and could not enjoy this one at all.

Short notice trip and our usual Holiday Inn Express was sold out. Comfort Inn was Ok accommodation for the price. Convenient, quiet, safe area. Older building... was concerned with the creaky, noisy, shaky elevator. Decided to take the stairs for the exercise.

Pool had way to many cracks in it, a lot of it was patch jobs but didnt look professional and definitely looked unsafe. The bathroom was dirty and there was big pieces of cookies and crumbs down by the night stand. Power did go out for a short time durning our stay, security lock on our room door was completely broken and coming out of our door.

There is no vending machines in the building and there’s not a lot of things to eat within walking distance that are convenient. I wish they would install vending machines. I’ve stayed there a couple times and I like the parking when I bring my cargo trailer and large truck.

At first it looks like a nice place. Once you are there for a little bit you start noticing how dirty it really is. Hair in the beds, dirty floors. Would not stay here again

We got to our room, and as soon as we walked in there were ANTS everywhere. There was candy under the sink, which would answer the ant problem. We went to the front desk let them know, and they switched us rooms. The staff were nice, just inconvenient.

Room was dirty and had stains everywhere, the bedding was stained and unwashed, with hair from previous guests still in the bed, the pillows were terrible and to small to really use as a pillow and the pillow cases were stained, the floor had multiple tiles loose and the shower looked stained and dirty as well.

We found blood stains on the blanket and the sheets which was unhygienic. Also, bathtub was not cleaned, used tissue was there. Overall, it was disappointing.

I did not like that there was no housekeeping and the room was dirty upon arrival

The person who checked me was bery unprofessional. The room we stayed in smelled like stale cigarette smoke, when I told the person who checked me in he asked if I wanted him to spay. Also all the seals on the tub needed to be resealed and there was blood on the blankets we had to have them replaced. We did love the breakfast attendant and house keepers, they were very friendly.

Room was ok, the bathroom was not very clean. Floor was dirty

Our tub was stained with rust, and there was trash under the bed from previous guests, the hotel staff seemed frustrated with us.

Only complaint was proximity to busy roads and associated noise. Otherwise, fine.

The hotel is nice but getting worn down. The stairs are not of regular height and so may cause you to stumble and the hallways can be a little worn. My room didn't have great water pressure and it took a really long time to get past the warm stage to the hot stage- it actually only happened the 5th day I stayed here. My heating/ cooling system had knobs to determine the level of comfort but they had nothing to do with the settings on the panel. I had to "go by feel" to determine heating o cooling or fan and I had to turn the temperature range knob back and forth at the cool range to get the actual air conditioning to come on. Then it tended to stick on "freezing"

We have stayed here before always good place just don’t like the high off floor beds

Room 300: The tub didn't drain well. There was no place to hang towels to dry except one hook on the bathroom door. The bed was a little lumpy. The USB port on the right side of the bed didn't work. The heater was noisy and felt like it was blowing cold air when the heating element was off. On the other hand, breakfast was excellent and the staff was friendly.

Pro- the staff was nice… Con-everything else -entrance closed all side entrances open with no keycards, area not great, -bed was broken, or just installed by an ignorant individual. King on 2 little bases with no support -switched rooms and it was next to the laundry which ran all night -no modern thermostat -water got turned off in the morning by the city to fix the pool -my kiddo was obviously excited about the swimming pool saying swimming pool! And grinning and laughing excitedly and no mention was made of it being out of service- He’s autistic and not being told the pool was out of service was just rude anyway. -not very clean Just go to the crystal inn or any other hotel, same price and they are 100x nicer

Nice staff, good breakfast, pillows were too lumpy and flat, sheets too starchy, swimming pool too cold.

Lady working the front desk was so kind to us! Can't remember her name, but I'm pretty sure she was a manager. She was very nice and helpful.

Front desk staff at check in was terrible. It took him several minutes to find my reservation, requesting name and confirmation number, and wa at fisrt adamant we did not have one. After about 5 minutes, he rudely exclaimed that he had found it, with a snicker on his face as if this was amusing to him. Overall hotel was to be expected for a 2 star hotel. But, the customer service was atrocious!

The front desk staff was amazing. Friendly kind and helpful. The suggested an amazing restaurant, let us check in an hour early and the building was clean and well maintained

We stayed here for a fun weekend with our daughter. To start, the check-in process was one of if not the slowest I’ve ever experienced. This was not just for myself but any other guest that came in as well. Easily a 5-10 minutes for what I’m still unsure. Our fridge didn’t work, we attempted troubleshooting prior to approaching the front desk. We were told that you had to turn it off and then back on (which had originally been done). Ended up having to discard about $30 worth of groceries which was extremely disappointing. Our daughter wanted to swim so we took her to the pool. The water was freezing and not ideal for the indoor setup. Towels had to be requested from the front desk which wasn’t a huge deal except for having to wait for several parties to check in (reference previous). The towels received were the equivalent of bathroom hand towels. So if you’re hoping for something that’ll cover and keep you from tracking water back to your room, don’t bank on these. The morning of checkout, we had housekeeping attempt entry prior to the 11a checkout time despite having the do not disturb tag out and not being checked out yet. We were told no rush however the housekeeper used the manual door lock to keep the door from closing…the only positive I have is how apologetic housekeeping was that the fridge situation was not handled appropriately. Overall, I don’t anticipate we’ll be staying here again.

I was only there because my son needed surgery on face but the accommodations they gave us to help him were amazing. The front desk person really did her best to help us.

The manager Khan was incredibly compassionate and helpful to our family. We had a "not nice at all" medical situation going on and he bent over backwards to make our stay easy and comfortable. His service to us was immensely appreciated.

Property appears to be an older building that has had a minor facelift. Obviously dated. Went to the front desk for assistance approx 900PM - 930PM. No attendant present. Rang the bell NUMEROUS times without any response. In the meantime another person came to the desk for assistance. After the better part of 10 minutes or so, the desk person finally showed up. If this had been an emergency, you would be putting your customer's safety / well being at risk. Entirely unacceptable. If I had to judge other Comfort Inn locations based on this one, I would choose not to stay at any.

The front desk staff were not friendly or weren’t there. A $100 security deposit was charged to my credit card without my knowledge and when asked about I was told it would be seven to ten days for it to be credited back. I wasn’t very happy about there explanation that it was a common practice among other hotels. I’ve never seen it before. I don’t think they care what I do, but I won’t be staying there again.

The reception is crazy and rude, we went there 9:20pm, the staff just say wait, and after 20 minutes, when I ask how many time do I have to wait, and said I am tired, he just told me to find another hotel! And returned me my ID and credit card. I had paid through Expedia,! Then I wait and ask again, he told me that still need another 15 to 20 minutes, without any reason, I never met this rude guys, but I don't have choice, feeing very bad! I had used Comfort for long time, this made me will never use the service again! Disgusting man, finally we got keys when close to 10pm.

Staff was super friendly. We had one small issue where our TV didn't work but the guy at front desk came and fixed it right away. Was so kind. It really was a great stay. Breakfast was great and the kids had fun at the pool. We will definitely stay here again.

Unpleasant part of town and low quality for the price. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location for snowboarding trip. 35 minutes to the lifts.

EASY ACCESS TO HIGHWAY AND STORES

Good location and convenient for access to the Cottonwood Canyons to visit Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude (Half Hour Drive). Hotel was what you'd expect for a budget Comfort Inn with a continental breakfast and similar amenities. There are several dining options within driving distance from the hotel and only a short drive to Downtown Salt Lake.

this Hotel is really far from everything. Also, the reception here is not really friendly especially the guy. They don’t even ask on how the customer is doing. Very unprofessional , except for the house keeping, all of them are nice. Don’t book here, if you’re going to SLC , book downtown hotel if you want to do something else.

Only complaint was that the lobby area smelled like a smoky casino hotel. The room was clean. Staff was friendly. You could hear traffic noise during rush hour but was pretty quiet late at night. Nice central location.

The manager was great and gave me a room close to the front with eazy access to parking. Very conveniently located to freeway with access to all sorts of restaurants. I'll stay here again.

Nice and quiet. Very comfortable pillows and bedding. Good breakfast area and quality breakfast. Eggs sausage, waffle maker. Good asssortment of pastries and juices in a.m.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Comfort Inn Facility. We were on the road for 10 days staying in 4 different Hotels and this was by far our favorite. The price was right. The Hotel was clean, roomy. The staff was courteous and friendly. The breakfast was great! We plan on staying here on all our visits to the Salt Lake City area. Thank you.

Staff was unprofessional and very disengaged. It seemed to be the owners. Many maintenance issues. Terrible workmanship on repairs. Breakfast was cold… eggs and sausage.

room was nice and clean,but had no bath towels. was just an oversight and was corrected as soon as I called. breakfast was not as good . had no fresh fruit at all, poor selection of pastries.But was still overall OK

Pretty bad breakfast. Our room was ok, if you don’t look at the carpet. I would not stay here again.
