Stayed 1 night

It is really cute, it's an actual tree/tiny house. We had a nice stay, it is bear themed. The mattress was thin on the loft floor, cobwebs in the corners) and the ladder up to it is very narrow & felt a bit dangerous going down it in the night. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher and only came with 2 coffee pods. The shower is not private, it is basically in the main are with a glass door so - if you are not shy it is great! The hot tub has a couple jets that weren't workig correctly BUT it was hot, clean and ready to go. I think for the price the cons I mentioned should be improved. And being charged a high cleanig fee for one night, yet the place wasn't really clean was a bummer A final con, the lakes looked still and stagnant & were not really appealing in any way. The running stream was great, but the view was obscured by trees and overgrowth.. The grill was small, no lighter. The firepit looked good but no firewood provided so make sure you bring your own. Stilll had fun, very remote, near the hobbit house where there was a man watching us when we were in the hot tub. That was scary. Have a great day!

Stayed 3 nights

An hour before check in, we received a message that they needed to change our stay to Mark's Retreat instead of the Oakleaf Treehouse, due to something happening with the septic. They said they would give us a free night in the Treehouse for the inconvenience. I called and spoke with someone the following day explaining that the entire purpose of the trip was to stay in a treehouse, and that it was our 27th anniversary. The entire trip was ruined because the purpose was the treehouse. The person I spoke with said that someone would call me on Monday to discuss free nights. I explained that 1 night stay as offered would be tough to even use, as we are 4 hours from the location. We won't drive a total of 8 hours to stay somewhere from 4pm until 10am. I asked for 2 nights stay, and was told someone would reach out to me on Monday. No one ever called. There has been no communication even about the 1 night stay that was offered for messing up our entire getaway.
