Thompson Hollywood is a beautiful hotel. It was convenient to Walk of Fame, restaurants, and Starbucks. We especially enjoyed the rooftop dining. Breakfast was delicious. Staff members were friendly and polite. My daughter and I had a blast! Will definitely be back!

We loved it here. Close to concert venues and lots of restaurants around. The rooftop pool was awesome. Great views. The lounge chairs were comfortable. The service staff was great. You could get food and drinks delivered poolside. We had breakfast at the rooftop restaurant and it was good. So nice not to have to leave the hotel early. The dinner at Bar Lis was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and view was perfect and so was the service. We loved the happy hour in the downstairs bar with charcuterie and alcohol was perfect and the live entertainment was great! The gym was set up with so many options. The bed and pillow were so comfortable. Our only small complaints are that we expected the towels to be nicer and fluffier for such a higher end hotel and the mini fridge wasn’t set up to handle our leftovers due to drink storage they had for purchase. I would recommend!!

Fantastic stay overall. Amazing property and amenities. The only one aspect we thought fell short was the noise levels from the rooftop (night club) into the late hours of the night. May be the walls are thin, but we were on floor 11 and it was pretty loud until very late. So make sure to request a lower floor if you prefer absolute quiet. The hotel did offer to relocate us, but our stay was brief so we did not choose that option.

Love the Thompson Hotel ! Clean, love the pool, restaurant , the gym the friendly helpful staff , comfy beds , beautiful views from the rooftop .. but there can be music disruption from the Bar after 10 at times depending on where your room is located. The staff was helpful with earplugs and it seemed like band turned down the bass .. I have stayed there 3 times and will stay there again.

There is a nightclub on the rooftop and hotel guests get pushed around by outside patrons and it was difficult to get on the elevator to see the views from rooftop in the evening. One of the elevators were broken and there was too many people trying to get in/out of elevator. The music from the nightclub was too loud and couldn’t sleep. No rooms available to switch to another room. I won’t be back

Loved the ambiance of the hotel. The room and bed were very comfortable. If you don't like a lot of light know the AC panel has lights that light up at dark. The rooftop was very cool. It's a small restaurant on top but beautiful views. At night there's a club on the roof that was packed with youn party goers on a Friday night. I was in the 5th floor the noise wasn't bad. But if you want quiet this may not be your spot on the weekend. Plenty of food options to walk to. Lots of homeless people and the sidewalks dirty but thats Hollywood. I'd stay here again if I needed to be in the area. The staff was very warm and friendly.

Room was very nice! Bed was too firm for my preference due to low back arthritis. Not their fault! Shower spray was a bit weak, but otherwise the room was perfect with a great view and A/C. The staff was fabulous!! They were all so nice, friendly, and accommodating! Loved the rooftop bar!! Bartenders were great! And the area was decorated so nicely! Drinks were the BEST! Especially the Jane Birkin with cucumber! Location was excellent! Close to attractions and restaurants! Walkable! Definitely recommend!

Nice hotel. Love the location. View from my room was awesome! Be aware of added fees, valet fee is pricey, and there was some other hotel fee of $35 per day that I was unaware of. Staff at rooftop breakfast was very nice. Pool area is a vibe. I’d probably stay again.

Never saw cleaner room in my life , seriously the bathroom was spotless. Who ever did this , she deserves the raise! However, service from all of the staff was outstanding! I would come back there . Food is also top notch! Thank you guys!

The front desk and lobby staff were welcoming and pleasant from check-in to check-out. The hotel is clean, stylish without being stuffy, and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed a great dinner and excellent service at The Terrace restaurant on the rooftop. The only downsides were that because the rooftop turns into a nightclub at 10pm on weekend, the music was slightly audible even from our 9th-floor room (though earplugs were provided)—and housekeeping not servicing our room by 4pm despite us being out most of the day.

The staff were kind and extremely helpful, but housekeeping was inconsistent and while the hotel may appear decently kept to the naked eye, cleanliness lacked. The carpets in the hallway look like they need a serious shampoo and so did the rug in the room.

Cute hotel love the style! They don’t have any microwaves anywhere or fridge. So hard with leftovers and they do charge a resort fee + $600 deposit upon check in just fyi.

As someone who tends to get the ick from hotels in general, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Some highlights include the staff who were both friendly and attentive, and the cleanliness of our room (King bed w Terrace- 8th floor), and property as a whole. A few notes to consider that may or may not make or break your stay. The rooms are quite small, to my surprise. The property offers a $17 daily credit toward food and beverage which apparently comes off automatically when you charge items to the room. That seemed to be a point of confusion the first few days as some staff told us you had to present the card given, some stated it comes off your final bill. Personally I didn’t care for the way it was done as we didn’t charge everything to the room the first few days therefore missed out on that particular benefit several times. The rooftop bar turns into a nightclub certain days of the week, so if loud music, including loud base until 2 am is an issue for you, you’ve been warned. We didn’t mind at all, but the higher the floor the louder it is, so that should be considered. Lastly, and truly the only thing I personally had a gripe with was that there is no complimentary coffee offered as stated in their welcome email. My morning coffee is like oxygen to me and not being able to conveniently grab it and make it myself was ridiculous to me. I feel like it’s a bare minimum and one of the most important, and easiest conveniences a property can offer their guests.

The hotel itself looks great and has a nice rooftop. With that said, the beds were not comfortable, at night you constantly hear the loud music of the rooftop bar/club, and there's a AC control unit that has a bright light which makes it difficult to sleep at night despite the other lights being off. Also, the shower pressure was very low. I did enjoy the rooftop views though.

Excellent location, roof top pool was fantastic. Happy hour in the lounge was very nice. Comfortable beds. The bathroom has very little counter space. If you are a single traveller, it’s ok, but with three people, it’s tight. Also there was no desk & chair (room is too small to fit this, but if I was doing any work, it would be impossible).

I prepaid for the hotel via Expedia. Then, the hotel charged me the full stay again without Expedia credit at checkout and getting it fixed is like pulling teeth. It's still not resolved. Then, the hotel put a mystery $250 charge on my credit card for package service. I know nothing about a package service. We'll see if we can get it corrected.

Reserved the Presidential Suite and there were many details that left me disappointed with that decision. The stove top and living room drape controls were inoperable. Despite me complaints they were never repairs during my stay. I requested drinking glasses from the guest services line on four separate occasions and made an additional request in person at the front desk. The glasses were never delivered. The bathroom didn’t have a vanity kit. My wife had to call guest services to request a shower cap. When they arrived at the door the handed a single shower cap. The experience left much to be desired.

We loved the hotel, the room was great and all staff were friendly and helpful. My only complain is that for two days in a row we had to ask for the 2nd towel set, there was only one in the room and we were booked for two people. But I requested another set and they were quick to bring it to us.

I got to the property earlier than check-in on purpose because I was meeting friends who were also staying at the property. I arrived a little before 2pm and went straight to the front desk to let them know I had arrived and asked to be let up to the roof to wait with friends until my room was ready. My room wasn't ready until almost 4:40pm, which meant I didn't even have time to shower and get ready before our 5:30 dinner reservation, which I found totally unacceptable when the check in time is supposed to be at 3pm. Very disappointing and inconvenient.

My stay at the Thompson Hollywood was incredible! From the personalized help from the staff, Aiz in particular, to my beautiful room I adored this stay. The hotel looks like a private club. The aesthetic is dynamic!

DO NOT STAY HERE. They have charged me the $1000 dollar hold fee and I have tried calling the hotel twice, messaging on Expedia, contacted world of hilton by phone and completed the online feedback form twice and still not heard anything. I also found that as soon as I had checked out the staff were very unhelpful and unkind. The manager (I assume) on reception with dirty blonde hair and an ugly moustache was the most rude and unhelpful on the evening of my departure. If I hadn’t had these issues this would have been a 5 star review. All I want is my money back that they charged to my card 14 days after I had departed.

Honestly. I felt like we were an inconvenience while checking in. We were not fretted at all. Check-in desk just lifted their gaze then nodded. I don’t think I’ve ever had a colder check-in in my life and I work in the hospitality/hotel industry. How hard is it to make a guest feel valued for choosing your property?? I don’t understand some staff values these days.

Sehr nah beim Hollywood Boulevard. Pool (obwohl klein) auf dem Dach ist toll mit schöner Aussicht – sogar aufs Hollywood Sign. Sehr nett ist auch, dass am frühen Abend kostenlos Käse, Oliven und Krackers mit Weinen in der Lobby gereicht werden. Ebenfalls gibt es am Morgen Kaffee (was sie hier so nennen) und Tee in der Lobby.

Location is great. Shower heads need to be replaced ASAP. Water flow wasn't great. I mentioned this the last time we stayed. Cancelling the morning coffee/tea service was a bummer too.

The hotel is pleasant enough but very expensive for what it offers. It is less a hotel and more somewhere to be seen with private events being regularly held which means that the limited dining is continually closed to customers. During our stay there was no dining available in the evening except for bar snacks. The property is in downtown LA which means walking to and from the property is not particularly pleasant. It was very disappointing and extremely expensive- including an added daily venue fee which was not previously mentioned.

Room 4 stars: The room was really nice, but the bathroom vanity is small for 2 people. There isn’t really any counter space to put on make up. They had a full body mirror by front door but low lighting and no plugs close by to use curling iron or hair dryer. Linens and bed were comfy, but be warned that they do have a rooftop bar that they turn into night club every night with music. We were there Thursday- Sunday and you could hear the music until 2am every night. So that was disappointing for such a nice hotel. The pool and restaurant were great for late lunch. The pool is heated too with great hillside views. The area was walking distance to Tao and cool sports bar called 3rd base where we caught the NBA playoff games. Overall a decent stay but would not stay there again if you want to sleep at decent hour.

Excellent! Beautiful hotel and the service was impeccable. The room was so nice with amazing views of the Hollywood sign. So much so we decided to hike up to the sign! Rooftop bar was a whole vibe and clearly a popular spot in town. So much fun, you could relax or party…whatever your mood was. Best flat white and pancakes at the rooftop restaurant! I was not expecting the food to be so good. Wonderful stay. Love the Thompson hotels because they are consistent in the service and quality in different cities that I’ve stayed.
