There was no elevator. I didn't know that when making the reservations or I would have gotten a handicapped room on the first floor. I don't like to do that in a hotel with an elevator because we just have problems with steps, not really handicapped. I think when the clerk saw my husband coming in with a cane and then gave us a second floor room with no elevator, wouldn't it be obvious that we needed a first floor room? There were all kinds of able bodied people who had first floor rooms that I saw. Even when I asked about where the elevator was, shouldn't she have asked if she could transfer us to a first floor room???? For that reason I gave a 4 out of 5 for staff. Maybe should have given it a one. Also, the premises are very run down. It looks like they are remodeling a little so don't know if that is going to be taken care of.

Room was clean, remodeling was going on and I was walking on crutches and they said they didn’t have any rooms on first floor, no elevators so I had to walk up and down the stairs. That’s my only complaint

The young lady that checked us in was very polite, informative and pleasant. Made checking in amazing. The room was nice and big. However the toilet didn't flush right. Had to flush twice just for pee. There were con webs in corners of room. Been nice to have a broom also in room. The pool was the best part!! Amazing and very clean. However, I didn't like that they let locals stay there or pay just to use pool. I think hotels should be for travelers.

Close to a lot of restaurants and high ways. Pool does not look clean. Room had a smell I went to two rooms and both smelled. But bed is comfortable even though there are stains on the white bedding but very good bedding. I was quite shocked at how run down the room was. There was no bathroom light ony a heat lamp. The floor was cracked in several places in the bathroom plus there was grime all in front of the tub and toilet as well as along the edge of the bathroom sink. The on off switches in the bathroom were filthy. The whole room needed a good deep cleaning. The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable. At 7 pm a maid attempted to enter the room without knocking when my husband went to the door and asked what was she doing she handed him a towel! Apparently only 1 was left in the room. We made the best of this stay but will NEVER stay there again!

Upon arrival front desk was friendly and courteous as well as respectful but, the minute I got the keys and entered the room all I could smell was mildew as if the room had water damage in the past the bathroom was filthy dirty, dust and mildew surrounding the tub and flooring . I asked for another room which also reeked of funk but looked a lot better but was still the floor was very dirty as my socks turned from white to brown as I just walked to the bathroom and out , guys were outside the hotel which seemed to be a dope dealer/ pimp or both driving back and forth most of the night which was very sketchy, especially with me having my kids . Definitely the bedding was horrible as I woke with body aches and hardly couldn’t sleep because of the hustle and flow outside .

The hotel is not cleaned properly. It's very old and not being looked after. I paid for a non-smoking room, and it smelled unbearably of cigarette smoke. My next-door neighbor was making a lot of noise, you could hear everything. It was horrible. I don't intend to return to this hotel and I don't recommend it.

This place is filthy dirty, hair in the wash room and on the bed sheet, stained towels, room door was damaged and the locks don't work. Breakfast is a shame and service overall is so poor. It's highly priced than it's value. I would not recommend staying at this miserable property. I gave them one star only because there is no ZERO star. Terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and run away. What a waste of money :(

Property is easily accessed and convenient to the highway. Exiting the property was challenging due to busy roadway. Room was dirty. Bed was dirty. Entry door was warped so much so that bugs came in. I had to seal door with a towel. I felt like I was being bitten throughout the night; however, I didn't see any bed bugs. The entire room requires maintenance, deep cleaning and painting.

Our first room was filthy, there was a chicken nugget shoved inside our air conditioner, the bathroom was disgusting and there were rodent droppings under the beds and in front of the night stand. We asked to be moved, our second room was marginally cleaner but between some long term guests that were out side a good deal of the time, talking loudly on their phones and smoking. The room phone didn’t work, there was stuff on the beds, hairs in the beds and the deadbolt was coming off the door. Tried to reattach but the screw holes were stripped. Fortunately, no bugs. Would not stay here again. Or recommend.

Very affordable spot for an overnight stay. Good hotel breakfast and great front door staff. Rooms were clean but outside the rooms, lots of cigarette butts and “stuff” on the ground. But our big issue was the AC which was a foot from the bed so that when it started, you get a blast of cold air. A king bed where you both end up sleeping on the same side to avoid the AC. Makes it difficult to sleep. Should put the couch by the window and move the bed.

While the room was spacious, it seemed to be missing something. A table and chairs perhaps? Also, there were no towel racks in the bathroom. The tv was fine, but the bed not so much. Very, very hard. If you don't mind your room being lit up by the outside lights, (we do mind), you'll be happy with the amount of light that shines in. Needless to say, not a restful night.

Stayed for three nights with my sister and my niece (Wednesday through Saturday). The hotel is older and has been remodeled but it didn't seem that great. No carpet on the floors and no comfortable chair to sit in. There were two chairs around a small table that had the side stripping coming off. The refrigerator seal wasn't sticking well and we hadn't noticed immeadiately, so the food we had in there got soaked due to the freezer starting to defrost itself. Once we noticed that and realized we had to hold the seal while closing the refigerator door, it was fine. The main issue we had was when we got there, there were only two half rolls of toilet paper and literally one tissue in the tissue box. We had towels enough for the three of us but I asked for a few more since we would be there three days. I went up to the front office twice asking for more TP and some more towels and then in the evening ran into the housekeeping manager and asked again. She said they were waiting on the truck and didn't have TP but would bring it by personally when it arrived. No one ever showed up with it in the entire 3 days we were there. We had to go buy our own on the second day. The pool was very nice. No hot breakfast but several options such as oatmeal packages, muffins, banana's and juice. No coffee makers in the rooms but coffee in the breakfast area. It's an okay place on a budget. If you have a little more to spend, I'd go somewhere a bit nicer.

Our room was very spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable. Our only suggestions would be to add room darkening shades as light filtering in from above and below the curtains was an annoyance for those of us who prefer darkness to sleep. Also while the worn leather couch is comfortable, it is very hard to get up from as its so low. Could also station the tv between couch and bed ao people have the choice to watch from bed or the couch.

This is a good place if you are just stopping for the night as I was or traveling with a pet. However if you are looking for a good night sleep not the place. Walls are very thin and you can hear entire conversations. The road noise is also loud.

It was affordable and convenient. We stayed on the side of the motel that faces the main road. It wasn’t noisy but privacy gel word because the room has a large window covered by a curtain and people constantly walk past. The room was ok. There is no carpet so when it’s humid the floor feels wet/slimy. The beds were clean so sleeping was comfortable. The TV was small and the cable was limited. The picture was fuzzy. The day we were there the internet was wonky and not working well. The side chair in our room was not stable and the upholstery was visibly dirty on the arm rests so no one sat in it. The staff was accommodating with providing towels because there were I three of us and only 2 towels for us to shower and we appreciated it. We booked our stay thru the app and there seemed to be some confusion about how we paid for it. I showed them the itinerary and my receipt but they kept saying it didn’t match what they had on file but it was obviously an oversight on them. It seemed to work itself out by the next morning. If you need a quick affordable place to sleep this is it but be warned the amenities are limited.

Stayed here once on a whim about 4 years ago. Really liked the location and price so I booked it again. We primarily came down for hiking and Waynesboro is a great location for a home base. 10 min to Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline drive. The people were great. Very friendly and the town was good. Had never been to Staunton before and we just kinda went on a whim but that town turned out to be great ! We loved it so much for so many reasons we kept going back almost daily. As for the negatives about hotel the biggest was the AC not really removing moisture so it all was cold and damp. Had many issues with The access key cards no longer working and having to go to the office and get new ones made. Since our room was only 100 ft away, it wasn’t a big deal and more of an annoyance but many others were also experiencing the same problem and some were far away on second floor, no elevator, and having to lug luggage etc back and forth was far more than an annoyance. Had to get new cards made almost daily, and sometimes several times a day ! The place is in need of an upgrade!! Even for the cheap price. Shout out to the maintenance guy who spends a good hour every day on checking and maintaining the pool. Good work ethic and it showed

Great plce to stay. Convenient to stoes, restaurants, gas atations and interstate. I can't say enough about how nice the staff was. They were very friendly and helpful. Gave us a great room with easy acces as we had an elderly dog.

Staff was absolutely amazing. I had accidentally locked my key in my room and they gave me another one with no charge as well as the the key deactivation on a separate occurrence. Both times i was able to get another key free of charge within 30 seconds. I also made a mistake with my booking where i accidentally didn’t select enough days for my stay and the lady at the front desk told me to book it again online. After she said that she also told me the online rates are sometimes cheaper online in which they were in my situation. I got to stay in the same room as well. “10 out of 10 I will be back again”

The check in clark was extremely crude, the door lock kept messing up, so they moved us. Which i was greatful for. Then I noticed a change on the precheck in card, talked to manager, they said it wouldn't go through but it did and I'm still waiting on the refund.

terrible stay. We stayed for (3) nights and 2/3 days - housekeeping came into the room unannounced. No knock, just used keycard and walked in. To clean what? Not sure. The room was disgusting. Someone’s hair on the inside of the shower curtain, yellowed pillows, unknown stains EVERYWHERE. The view was nice - but the parking lot was full of sketchy people. Two vans with people and dogs living out it.

Hotel couldnt find the reservation, then called Hotels.com and they couldnt either. When we finally got into our room at almost midnight, after going in circles and waiting almost two hours, it was awful. It wasnt a King bed like we were supposed to get, it smelled like cigarettes in our non-smoking room, there were cigarette burns on the bedding, and we were woken up three more times due to issues finding our reservation. The next day we were told we were in the wrong room and had to move and conditions were no better. We went to a feiends wedding and we didn't feel well the entire time because we were congested from the musty room and i had an upset stomach from the awful cigarette smell.

The room was cold when I got in it. There was like a 1- 1 1/2 inch crack/space under the door letting in the cold air from outside. I had to use a towel folded in half to block the air. The two people at the counter when I arrived were BOTH very rude. The lady didn't even speak to me at all and the guy acted like he didn't want to be there, never the less, take care of my reservation. I WILL NOT be reserving a room there, EVER AGAIN.

Although this wss an old property it was clean and worth the price I paid. If you're looking for fancy, move on. If you want practical and clean this is your place. Breakfast was alright. Bread,cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, dresh fruit and yogurt. I would stay here again.
