Staff extremely nice, bed very comfortable, pool clean and poolroom warm . Breakfast was just cereal waffles and juice. Oatmeal, fresh fruit would have been great or at least a gluten free cereal

The nicest thing that can be said is that it's inexpensive. No water in the pool, no tea, no jam, no fruit or fruit juice. Has a general run down appearance. Or did I mention the police coming to the hotel at about 6am on a Sunday morning? That was pleasant on the way to breakfast. Good place for a one night just passing thu stay. You get exactly what you'd expect to pay for in Beautiful Mt. Vernon Ohio.

Pool broke, smelled bad of smoking, dirty, sheets and blankets had burn holes. One of worst I have ever seen

Had a issue with a room someone spilled something sticky in the carpet when i walked by the door my bottom of my soles where sticky i addressed and asked if i wanted another room and said yes if i could please they fixed it right away... Ty for promptly fixing it high five !! All staff was amazing and very helpful.. will definitely be back.. room was clean & the pool was amazing with the heated water.. thanks for a wonderful stay !!!

The hotel itself is nice. Pool was very clean. Rooms look like they were redone recently . Our first night a lady with a big dog and little dog walked by and said not to come near her with our 3yr old daughter because the big one isn't friendly(maybe her room should not be near the check in and pool where families and kids will be). We ended up in the room across from them. The hallway in front of our room smelled like dog urine and cigarettes. The dogs barked all night and woke my daughter up frequently during the 5 nights we were there. We did tell the staff. The breakfast bar in the morning is simple, cereal, toast, coffee, juice, but it did have a waffle iron and fresh batter. Over all friendly and great for the price! Bonus its near lots of shopping and food options

Fine hotel for an overnight stay- not fancy- but not nasty. Staff were kind and helpful- breakfast simple- bread for toast and waffles or cereal. Good rate. Pool nice

Under renovations. Pool was closed. Horrible breakfast. Main hallway was not clean. Employees were not very professional. Won’t be staying there again.

The room had an odor, the carpet felt sticky on bare feet. Firniture falling apart and paint splatters everywhere. Blankets with holes, cigarette burns on all the blankets! The bathroom floor was wet - and water was dripping out of the ceiling fan! My apology 😒 nonexistent just Oh! Sh!t that's not good. They advertise a pool - it was an empty hole and looked like the area was used for storage. When i complained i finally got Oh, Im sorry about that!

First, the good parts. The beds were very clean, and that is the most important. I really only needed a place to sleep, so the clean bed was all I really needed. Most of the room was clean as well. The lady at the fromt desk was nice. It was very noisy. I could see light around my door and hear every sound in the hall. The bathroom was so small, I don’t know how you’d shut the door once inside. I was alone so I left it open. The shower was stained dirty. I tried to clean it and nothing came off. I will say that most hotels don’t have enough water pressure for me. Surprisingly this one did and I was happy about that. Don’t rely on the breakfast unless you like waffles. The breakfast consisted of a few slices of bread, Raisin Bran, and a waffle iron. In the room, I wish there was a comfortable chair. It was just a small, wooded chair. The parking lot is small and not well cared for. Overall, the hotel did its job but if I were to be spending any time in the room other than sleeping I’d probably choose somewhere else. For the price I paid, I expected better. This was a $60 room in my opinion. It was ok, but not worth the price.

We had been there a previous year and it was clean and everything was great. We went this year and it reeked of cigarette smoke, the room was very musty and the floor was damp. We left the room and came back to find a fabreeze plugged in because the room smelled funky.

The Super8 was an inexpensive hotel. Our room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke and air freshener. The bed was deeply grooved and not particularly comfortable. There was no soap or other items in the room. That said, it met a bare minimum level of cleanliness and if you don't want to spend a lot and don't have high expectations it is probably fine.

Broken glass in bathtub. Moldy and dirty coffee pot. Floor sticky. Smoke alarm covered with plastic. Shower drain did not work

The room stank of smoke, there were roaches crawling about on the walls, the floors didn't look they had been vacuumed

"The "pardon our dust" sign on the lobby door said it all. The property is sorely in need of an upgrade, and is apparently going to receive one. The parent company, therefore, is aware. My room was clean though, which is all that mattered to me. Breakfast was good too.

There were many glitches here; only room available on first floor smelled of smoke despite being designated as non-smoking; offer to change was declined as there was no elevator; had to ask for hair dryer & only one found was damaged, tho workable; had a 2 night stay & key was not activated for 2nd night until requested; at least it was quiet & bed was comfortable tho, squeaky

Building is older but rooms have been renovated. It's clean and comfortable.lots of dining options within walking distance. The breakfast was pretty minimal though, toast with butter, cereal, waffles.

Loved the jetted tub just wishnthe jets were a little stronger but still nice and relaxing

The woman who checked us in was lovely. We did not realize the room would not have a closet. The hairdryer did not work but we did not go to seek a replacement.

Work trip. Hotel rooms have been renovated. They are nice. The hallways smelled of marijuana. There were kids above me that ran around until 12:30 in the morning. I get it- kids will be kids- but there should be a quiet time. Overall, room was nice. It’s convenient to restaurants, and fast foods. Basic breakfast- cereal or waffles- coffees and juices I will stay again, if ever in the area.

The room was good but we missed having anywhere to hang clothing. Everything was clean but the bed had 3 pillows which was a bit odd. When we went to "breakfast" for coffee there was none in the coffee maker or the carafes. No one was attending to the breakfast area. The hotel was accommodating by putting us on the first floor near an exit as we had requested. All in all it was an OK stay.

Property is in a good location and easy access to shopping and dining. That said, the pictures advertised on the website look nothing like the actual rooms. We had a room with 2 queen beds, no closet, a toilet so close to the bathroom door that an overweight person would not have been able to sit on the toilet and close the door. The room was clean but very tiny and not at all what was advertised and shown on line. No vending machines or anything. Would stay there again if I had to but it would not be my choice.

The smell was nasty, beds broken, worst place i ever stayed at. Smell was so bad every where. Beds broken. Just the worst i ever seen. Had to sleep on the top of the bed with my 2 boys with all our clothing on .worsi ever seen. I was embarrassed for what my boys had to sleep and stay in. Internet showed a whole different place.

For whatever reason, our room smelled like fish. The breakfast was a choice of waffle, toast with butter only or raisin bran cereal. The front desk lady was awesome.

The motel was being remodeled and the dumpster was overflowing with stuff. I had to be honest ever though I know that is not in your control. I would certainly stay there again. The girls at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable, got checked in very fast, day we checked out Amy went out of her way to make sure that we had what we needed in the breakfast room and the when I asked for some directions to local things she asked what we planned to do and she printed out a couple pages directions to these sited. Very happy with our stay

Room smells old & smokey in my non-smoking room. I had no bath towels and had to call for them. I could have redressed and run down faster & had to call 2x. Nothing but butter & syrup for toast or waffles - no peanut butter or cream cheese or honey. Coffee lukewarm so grateful for a microwave. Hair in tub that wasn’t mine. However, hotel staff were very nice.

Do not stay here. Upon checking in I saw the overall condition of the motel and tried to eliminate the second and third nights of our stay. The front desk said to just check in then do it through Expedia. We then checked in. Later that night I was told by Expedia that I could only make those changes at the front desk, and prior to checking in. Blatant lying by the front desk/manager. I checked out the morning after the first night and they still charged me for two more nights and would not adjust the booking at all. Worse yet, the NON-smoking room had cigarette odors deep in the linens, mattresses and walls. We didn't detect the smoke smell at first, but were covered and sickened by it when we woke up. Lastly, the mattresses were covered with a plastic bag - under the sheets. Disgusting. Not sure what was underneath but was not about to check. Stay away from this place. Lied about non smoking, lied about our ability to cancel, and looked me right in the eye and charged us for three nights after checking out and staying one.

Was a very nice stay quiet and fun for staying the evening with the kids after a music festival we were at there in town. Very clean working ac no bus and.everything was great. We enjoyed our stay for a night.

The check in was fine the bathroom was clean but the room smells of mildew I have slept on better beds in a camper then the bed in my room. The breakfast was not worth getting up for. Corn flakes or waffles that come out burnt from the timed maker. Between the bed and night stand was a previous guests clothing.
