Comfortable room, if rather dated. Friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location. Excellent and large breakfast, freshly cooked to order.

We had no complaint about staff sevice or menu and delivery of either was with good humour and a genuine Interest and kindness. We were disappointed in the room which was small and had only one chair, which meant the bed was the only alternative to watch the tv or read. Bedside light was totally Inadaquite to read with. It was however clean and the bed was comfortable.

Fabulous location with free parking. However room wasn't great for the money they charged. Paying £100 for a very run down basic room was too much. We travel a lot so in comparison to other rooms for the same money I would rate it low. Certainly wouldn't stay again. Didnt try the food so cannot comment on that.

The room was a good size. It was nice and warm. We were out the back so it was quiet. There are a few stairs and steps as it's an old quirky building... we were on the first floor. The shower was good, WiFi good, tea and coffee hospitality tray. Linen and towels nice and fresh and good quality. The staff were all very pleasant and courteous. The bar had a good selection of drinks and good food.... plenty of choice of bar food and full meals at good prices. Breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked so there was a wait but was worth it. Good value too. Great to have a car park too in the town centre. All in all good value for the price we paid for a weekend in Melrose.
