The hotel is very cool — a nice, quiet, well-appointed place to stay. The only true drawback is that their restaurant and bar are closed entirely on Mondays. Understandable for the public but odd as a guest. If you reserve the corner gardeners room, just know that it is very bright in the morning, even with the double shades.

This is an excellent hotel on all fronts. Boutique feel for sure, but not overly priced and always a cool, relaxing vibe. From the bar to the gym, they hit the right chord across the board. Highly recommend- especially for couples or business travel.

Lovely boutique feel type of property. Loved the original art on the exterior and interior as well. We enjoyed the patio outside which feels very peaceful. The conservatory is an area with several dining tables which can be closed off for privacy and feels very comfortable. We loved the bar and dining area which is open yet has areas that are created for couples or small groups and has a cozy atmosphere. The team members were very friendly and responsive. All in all a wonderful stay.

Great boutique hotel. Loved the outdoor patio and onsite restaurant. Rooms were quiet, clean, spacious. Beds were comfy. Decor was on point. I wish the bar was open later and outdoor fires were on but it was a Monday night so I get that.

Stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute. Gym was fantastic, food delightful and bed super comfy. Very eclectic and a great change of pace from the norm. All of the staff was super accommodating especially Payton (not sure of the spelling). Lobby has a great New Orleans vibe!

It has the "boutique" property vibe. The staff was very friendly and professional. The restaurant area is very cool and our room and bathroom looked like they were just completed. Spotless! Would definitely return!

I have stayed at Elwood several times. This time was a disappointment. The hallway smelled like cigarettes, room is very musty smelling, bathroom is not totally clean and needs an update, refrigerator is struggling to stay cool.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at the Lexington Elwood Hotel & Suites, which I booked through your website from January 7th to January 9th, 2025 After a long journey that began at 3:00 am, I arrived at the hotel looking forward to taking a relaxing bath in the tub. However, upon entering the bathroom, I was unpleasantly surprised to find the area around the soap dish to be in a state of poor cleanliness, with visible mold present. I reported this issue to the front desk staff the following day and requested that the bathroom be cleaned. Unfortunately, upon returning to my room, I found that the issue had not been addressed. Given the subpar cleanliness and service I experienced during my stay, I would like to request a compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort caused. I would appreciate it if this compensation could be credited to my (link unavailable) account through the app, in the form of a voucher or credit towards a future booking. I expect a higher standard of cleanliness and service from a hotel, especially one that I booked through your website. Was really excited to check this place out. The room was underwhelming. The fridge seemed out of place and wasted space. The bathtub was not clean! Wanted to try the bar but was afraid that wouldn’t be great. Wish I would’ve spent my money elsewhere.

Very nice hotel near Rupp arena. The staff was fantastic and could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. They really made the stay better. Rooms were large and comfortable. Gym was fine and had bikes, treadmills and free weights. Easy parking. Very good restaurant and delicious creative cocktails. Only negative was the bathrooms. They were very dated and very small. It wasn't a huge issue but was something that was noticeable.

Very large and spacious room. Extremely clean, and the staff was very kind and friendly. The only negative thing about our stay was the noise from the nearby hospital ER department and fire station. Of course that is out of the property’s control. Overall very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Tried this hotel twice now and never again! Extremely rude staff that seems they can’t be bothered with even checking you in. This last time traveled 7 hours and they didn’t have our room ready which is ridiculous to start with. Expedia tried calling them and they dodged them, came back an hour later and room still not ready so we were like this is ridiculous as we need a place to stay and we’re exhausted. Staff still rude and unhelpful. Expedia tried again to get manager and couldn’t. They had to send five yea five emails to property and after all that they refused to give us our money back when we didn’t even stay the night there! Just ridiculous ! Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere where the staff isn’t rude!

We have been staying here the last 2 years for Ky football games and the customer service has always been impeccable. This past weekend I received a text from the about an hour after checking out that I had left a Yeti & phone charger in the room and they would be happy to hold until the next trip or mail to me. They could have easily just put it in lost & found or just taken it but they went out of their way for us. Highly recommend.

Room was nice. Rate is on par with the area. When I arrived there was a wedding party in progress. Little awkward as I'm coming in roadworn and weary after 12 hours travel. Check in was fine, was told dining was closed but I could order something and have it brought up to me....perfect...I could catch a little nap and order some food. The filet had caught my eye already. I tried to call for two hours, was put on hold at first, they then just stopped answering. I finally had to order a pizza. When they pizza guy arrived they would not let him up so I had to go back down into the wedding party, this time in my pajamas, through the party and to the delivery guy. While I made my way I noticed a young lady sitting at the phone. Didn't bother to help, didn't help with the door as I tried to find my card with one hand and hold the food with the other and the whole process really just made me feel like an unwanted guest. This place has a lot going for it but with the space they have...may want to decide what they want to be and if they continue to try to be both...work on not alienating their guests. Not my first time here, may end up being my last...

The Elwood is always a great place to stay. The location is convenient to Campus/Downtown. There is a very good restaurant downstairs. The hotel can be a little noisy because it’s near hospitals. But, that’s not too bad. We still slept well. The only negatives, this time, is they seem to be having an issue that required de-humidifiers in the hallways and our room was always slightly too warm. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel.

A great value for the price! Definitely not your average generic chain hotel. Lobby and patio are very clean and unique. Wished we had time for a drink on the patio. Rooms very big, clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again. Less than 10 mins from UK so convenient for parents.

This is a great property extremely convenient to Rupp Arena and other downtown Lexington attractions. This would also be a great place to stay if you were visiting medical facilities in the area. We were greeted at the front door by the concierge and felt welcomed from the beginning. It’s a beautifully decorated hotel with great amenities for the price. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked like a great place to grab a drink and dine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the rest of the room felt very modern and updated. I highly recommend this independent hotel in Lexington!

Unbeknownst to us a wedding party/reception was being held the same night of our stay. They had rented the whole dining area & bar - which is fine - only that meant there was no way to access our room without ‘traveling’ through the midst of their reception as we came in and out. Also we could not use the dining room/restaurant that evening due to the reception, but were told we could order something & have it sent up to our room instead. Then to top it all off our 2nd floor corner ‘garden room’ (which we paid extra for) was situated directly above the reception party. After having spent 6+hrs on the road that day- we were tired, ready to relax and get some sleep which was not possible due to the noise from the reception below us. When we called the ‘front desk’ regarding the noise we were simply told it should quiet down by 10pm. While we certainly do not begrudge the people who had reserved, paid for and were enjoying their wedding reception, we also had reserved and paid for a room to rest, relax and sleep in for the evening. We feel it was the fault of the management not to have let us know of the party that was to take place during our stay allowing us to choose a different room or other accommodations.

The hotel is unique so that was nice, the beds are not very comfortable though. The restaurant and bar would have been nice to experience but when checking in they didn’t tell us it closes early on Sundays so when we went to try it we couldn’t. Overall it was good!

The rooms are a little larger than most rooms, we had a suite. It was very spacious and comfortable. There is a restaurant/full bar on site with great service and great food. We had breakfast which was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.
