Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia Northeast

Everything was great. The room was clean staff was pleasant. We didn't do breakfast but other family told us it was really good. The construction other comments are referring to didn't interfere with our stay at all. Pool and gym were both open. Our stay was quiet, comfortable, and the shower is big enough for my fiance and I to shower together if we wanted and it had amazingly hot water. Will def be our go to when in the area

Hotel was under renovations and everything was closed ie. fitness center and pool. No warning given that amenities would be unavailable.

We were told on our way in to South Carolina the pool was up and running! We arrived from Michigan it was 94 degrees no pool working! Repeatedly told us the contractor was on their way! We are now checking out I asked for corporate number and the general manager told me NO! I found the number my self and will call. We brought our soldier back to swim and hang out with him for the day still no pool! General manager told my husband they never discount rooms. We called from fort Jackson the day of family day gentleman said the pool was fixed and running only to find out it was not! We also called from dinner the next day told the pool was open! It was not! We booked here because of ratings and out door pool we knew it was going to be hot! I have stayed in many Fairfield Inns and have always been happy not this time our stay was for 4 nights every thing around us was booked because of graduation! Or we would have left! General manager was rude and denied that anyone had ever told us the pool was working!!! I will get ahold of corporate when we return home. Who wants to sit in a hotel when the sun is shining? I would never and I mean never recommend this place to anyone! With graduations weekly I would never recommend this place to anyone that wants to spend quality time with their new soldier and family! We booked four nights and had paid for two rooms 1,200.00 isn’t chump change!! Card readers at entrance by parking lots don’t work so they leave a rock to keep it open unsafe!!!

We checked in late, but front desk was very nice. Room was very clean. Shower fan in bathroom was not working, so got very steamy when showering. They were doing remodeling in lobby, so little messy. But definitely would stay again.

When booked,I called 4days before arriving from Michigan for grandsons boot camp graduation to make sure pool was open they told me they had some problems but would be open come that Monday,got there checked in clerk said it was closed for the day due to chemical imbalance,next morning they said it would be open later in the day…nope.. next day called pretended to be someone else wanting to book a room asked if pool was open they said yes(they lied)next day manager said said something electrical was wrong someone was on there way,no one came 4 days of lying about the pool,night before checkout I was told by someone that stays there an he said they have no plans on getting that pool fixed anytime soon been closed for awhile!!save your money go somewhere else

Hotel did not say that there was construction workers doing renovations at hotel. Check in at 3:00 pm and needed a long nap from driving and could not from the noise outside my room . There was trash in the elevators and hallway to my room. I was not happy.

We booked this hotel that was about 10min from Ft Jackson for my nephew’s Boot Camp graduation. Easy access off and on was not busyat all Cute clean welcoming little hotel. Small pool that was closed for season. Nice little patio area. Pets were welcomed so we got to see some cute little fur babies helped us as we didn’t bring ours. Deff would recommend to anyone Attending family day or graduation at Fort Jackson. Fairfield in was very nice

This property is currently under trcknstruction - loud dirty and inconvenient. No coffee nor breakfast. Lobby torn up. I would have booked somewhere else had I been informed. I should receive a partial refund.

Going through remodel.

Rooms were dirty, in poor condition and bathrooms had mold in shower. Upon arrival, hotel clerk was irritable. Rude and clearly hated his job. Our room was facing the freeway and some noise is expected but it was as though there was zero insulation from the room to the freeway. Horrible experience.

Tolits need to be upgraded, too low for adults. Stains on sheets and ants on counter tops.

Desk staff is friendly & kind, the morning catering staff Peter & GiGi are absolutely AMAZING!! The overall cleanliness of our room was horrible. Boogers & bodily excrement on the headboards, blood stains on the walls. Beds were thrown together as if a 5 year old attempted to make the beds, bed skirts were barely hanging on. It was the 2nd room we received, the first room we were assigned, was saturated in animal urine. Maybe they are short staffed with a cleaning crew? We were denied a discount and another room. We purchased Clorox wipes to sanitize the room & reWashed all the bedding before sleeping. Even the bedding was not clean!!

The reason that I scored a 2 was due to the staff being friendly. My stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites from 3/21/25 to 3/29/25 was not a good experience. First, on day one when I went into the room and went to take a shower the tub was dirty, the toilet was not clean, I had my own disinfected wipes and used them to use the bathroom. Second, I had to clean off the desk as it was extremely dusty and behind the desk was filthy with old soda bottles and garbage. Third, the next day of my stay I requested housekeeping and was told someone would come up to my room and no one ever did. I also saw someone from housekeeping on my floor and they advised they would stop by and never did. The following day, I again requested housekeeping, and no one ever came, and I again saw someone from housekeeping on my floor and they again advised they would stop by and no one ever did. I then stopped asking for housekeeping and the room was not cleaned for the entire week that I was there. I did work from my room Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and I am assuming housekeeping does not work after 5pm. Also, the internet was not good and did not start to work semi properly until close to the end of my stay. In addition, the first day that I had breakfast was good, but it seems the same food is utilized for the week until it is finished because the bread/bagels started to smell sour. Finally, there seemed to be some type of construction going on.

Very outdated. We stayed on the 3rd floor and as soon as we got off the elevator it reaked of cigarette smoke. Got in our room and the floors were filthy. There was leftover food in the refrigerator. They charged us for our rooms even though we already paid the entirety through hotels.com. Thank you to Mohammed from Hotels.com for correcting that, he was very professional and timely. Only good thing is the breakfast

Shower curtain moldy and found a tennis shoe under the bed. Young kids running up and down the hallways at 4am making it impossible to sleep. Stayed at Fairfield in Rock Hill the night before and was impressed. That location would have received 5 stars where this location is about half that.

Everything was clean!! Excelente breakfast.. loved it.

VERY CLEAN AND NEW

One of our rooms had a coffee pot that had left over coffee in it that was full of mold. In the drawer od the other room there was 2 dirty diapers. A Lso had to have the keys to door reset twice. People in the breakfast area were quite friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good place to stay.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. Always a good experience. Today was a Luke warm one. Front desk person was not friendly, room was missing a chair to sit in, and the shower had mold in it. Room just looked tired.

This was the worst experience of my trip. I checked into my room at 3pm. After unpacking I went to watch tv and there was no service. I then went to call the front desk but there was no phone in the room. I proceeded to go to the front desk, advised my situation, they came to the room unable to correct the issue, moved me across the hall. After repacking and unpacking still no tv however a phone. Called the front desk reporting the problem and now someone new said that the tv has been out since Friday. In addition no insurance was provided that it would be repaired. A call to Expedia was made regarding the issue and they attempted to assist however was unable to get through. This continues for 3 hours between myself and Expedia staff. At this point it was to late to find a new hotel. At no time was I offered a discount or refund or an apology from staff. In addition to my issue the reason I couldn’t speak to the manager as the line was 8-10 people deep with people looking for tv, bath towels and other complaints. This experience was/is so bad that I just changed my flight home instead of staying again in a Charlotte location that I enjoyed for the extra night. I am staying here for my son’s competition of US Army boot camp. The time I spent looking for help with my stay could have been spent with family. I am requesting a phone call follow up regarding this event. In addition I find it unsafe to have no phone in a room on the forth floor in the event of a fire. My #5087266189

The room was advertised as wheelchair accessible. The toilet was fine but the shower was not accessible. It did have a shower bench but you could not get the wheelchair close enough to transfer to the bench. When on the bench, you could not reach the faucet or shower handle to shower. The room was very nice other than this.

The property had WiFi but no connection to the internet. I was first told it was just my room and one other and there was nothing they could do. Before I left I spoke with several other guests and they too had no internet connection. I realize they needed IT support which was not available on Friday night or the weekend. Not the receptionist's problem, but the property was disappointing as a result. To their credit they offered my some Reward Points, but I am not a member of their rewards program.

At checkin given 3 different rooms as something was wrong with each room. Gave up took 3rd room. Water in sinks did not get warm. Lock on door would pop open and leave door standing open

Keys didnt work fire alarm at 4 in morning...tv came on by itself at 5 in morning

Card key lock out 5 times over 3 days. No room phone to call desk. Desk staff with attitude we felt they couldn't care less. Noisy room next to interstate (emergency vehicles, trucks and traffic. Noisy neighbors overhead. Maintenance and breakfast staff were consoling and actually seemed interested in us. While the mgr and clerks were NOT.

Room was fine. The bed was significantly lower than any other hotel at which I have stayed. Since hubs and I both have knee trouble it made getting out of bed difficult.

No hot water when I took a shower. The shower door would not open or shut easily. Never stay here again.

There was NO Wi-Fi service for our 2 day stay

We arrived to check in but was told there were no rooms available. Their systems were down. We were told we’d not but charged but there is a pending charge on my credit card.

Unfortunately I don't know the name of the gentleman who checked me in but he was the nicest person I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He was outstanding.

Easy checkin and checkout

Person at the front desk was incredibly difficult during check in. Refused to let me check into the two rooms I reserved and paid for. Refused to commit to having those rooms close together saying he works have to wait to see what was available even though I told him it was important because my child has a disability. He also told me to wait to see if other people were booking so we could not change rooms until they had arrived. Whether this was discriminatory or pure incompetence I cannot say but his rudeness made this an unnecessarily terrible experience.

Staff was professional and welcoming

The staff has been great! My daughter forgot a stuffed animal during our stay and they have been very helpful to get it back to her.

Fairfield was very accommodating our stay. We arrived unexpectedly and was received graciously. The room was excellent as was the morning breakfasts. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Accolades and high recommendations for this facility.

The front desk supervisor was extremely rude and disrespectful, put hold charge on 2 of my card after I explained to her that I wanted to use different cards to pay at check out. This worker would not listen, she walked away from the desk muttering I’m not fixing it and she didn’t even try. She is unprofessional and disrespectful. I would never recommend or go back to this place. Worst stay at a Marriot.

Easily accessible off the highway

Great location right off interstate but no interstate noise

The property was convenient to transportation and major highways. Facilities were adequate and room was clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. The decor was a little tired and needs a re-fresh. We had a room in the back, not facing the busy roads and that was especially nice. I would stay here again

Easy to access fort jackson

Stayed here during my son’s Army Graduation at Fort Jackson. Located about 10 minutes from base, the location worked out well. Besides staying on base, this is a most convenient location. There are a lot of restaurants close, area felt safe, and if you want shopping everything is within 10-15 minutes. The rooms are all being renovated. They are clean and comfortable with nice amenities like a refrigerator. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast. This location provided a substantial breakfast buffet that changed each day we were there. A beautiful oatmeal bar (or grab a yogurt and build a yogurt parfait), waffle maker, eggs, bacon or sausage and always a quiche, omelet, or egg croissant sandwich option, cereals, breads… the list goes on. The lady who does the breakfast here (Gigi) is amazing. Friendly, service oriented, and she keeps things very clean. Food was fresh and she just works her tail off to provide a great experience. This hotel has something special with her. The check in staff were also very nice. You will only get room service if asked for it, but they do ask you upon check in. We generally opt out as we don’t find it necessary. We would definitely stay here again, if we came back.

Right off the interstate....convenient location for a stop over stay.

Difficult to locate, poor signage for small street.

This worked out perfect for our family to meet up and stay to watch our family member graduate from BCT at fort jackson. They even had pretty good breakfast. It was really easy to get to gate 4 back and forth as well. We didn't have any problems. Would stay again if I'm ever back in the area.

Great breakfast

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice and very clean. Loved the whirlpool tub. One of the best mattresses we have ever slept on. And, the included breakfast was the BEST we have ever experienced at any hotel. The breakfast was prepared by a husband and wife team who not only provided great food but were also VERY friendly and they really cared about the guests. MARRIOTT MANAGEMENT-YOU WOULD BE SMART TO DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO KEEP THE STAFF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE AT THIS HOTEL.

Great place to stay for short commute to UofSC move in weekend. Shout out to Gigi who runs the breakfast buffet - outstanding customer service.

We were traveling from FL to WV, New River Gorge National Park for vacation and need to break up the road trip up so we chose to stay here at this beautiful Fairfield property conveniently located off I77. The hotel staff was greatly welcoming rspecially GiGi who made an amazing breakfast in the morning with eggs, carmelized sausage slices, fixing for making a delishoous acai bowl, kids enjoyed the mini waffles, and plenty of table space for the whole hotel. Beds were very comfortable, room was spacious, gym & pool were a nice bonus. We loved our stay so much that we booked this exact same hotel on our way back home and visited the River Zoo and Botanical in Columbia as well. Thank you Fairfield Inn and Suites for a fantastic stay.

Hotel and staff were great. Only issue was during tha breakfast buffet, and it wasnt the hotels fault. Should maintain a staff member to monitor and ensure cleanliness. On day one breakfast my wife and I witnessed a young adult fill his plate with his hands vs the provided tongs. On day two breakfast we witnessed the same thing but it was the children of a family who used their hands again...on day two my wife and i decided to eat breakfast elsewhere because the kids had runny noses and the thought of their musus filled hands in the food was disgusting.

Hotel is conveniently located close to the interstate; yet, it has a secluded and safe feel. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Room was comfortable, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast had hot and cold offerings, ranging from cheese soufflés and hot grits to bagels and muffins. We are going to make this a regular on our to and from Florida circuit.
