Definitely would stay there again, price was good, staff friendly. Nice location, didn't have to go anywhere, pizza place next door and Dollar General Market store across the street. Only downside is that parking is cramped.

Scottish Inns Collinsville is easy to get to, has straight-forward parking, comfortable queen beds, and heating-cooling units that look worn out but functioned fine inside the 2 rooms we rented. Room access cards did not work properly, required multiple trips to the front office, causing the poor lady in charge to jump through hoops replacing key cards and batteries in the card-programming machine multiple times. Bathroom shower and sink faucets put out spraying water as opposed to running water. Power outlets, microwave, and telephone fixtures were in terrible repair, even hazardous. Worst of all, EXPEDIA FAILED US by posting a photo that misrepresented this property in a good light, and posting more-preferred properties as having no rooms available. Will be sure to double-check direct with hotels, car rentals, and airlines on Expedia from now on.

The parking lot needed a lot of work. I stayed in the upper section and the parking was awkward.

A perfect stop for a motorcycle traveler! It's convenient to park in front of the room. Yes, things a bit worn, but everything is clean and it's a wonderful value. Would definitely stay again.are

Do not let any pictures fool you. This place is so run down and not taken care of at all. There are dead bugs on the floor indicating very poor cleanliness. The drapery is coming off the window. Everything is in total disrepair including the sink and bathroom. Everything is extremely smelly and musty.

Room was a little small and outdated but very clean. Front desk clerk was very friendly. We visit the area very often to see our daughter who goes to the local college. We have stayed at various hotels in the area, and this isn't the nicest, but it is clean, and the price is right.

Don't stay here! First, they ripped us off with the cost we were in the area for a Nascar race every hotel was booked full I tried to get another room and was willing to drive an hour our more and pay whatever it cost that's how bad this BUG FILLED ROOM WAS! Everything was horrible outdated shabby nasty. BLOOD STAINS ON THE MATTRESS! We took our things out to the car every day and sprayed with bug spray and used a bug fogger every day. We had no other options but to stick it out. I find it hard to believe that Hotels would list this property. YOU HAVE BEEN WAREND!

Excellent value. Clean Room. Clean linen and towels. Friendly Staff. Good Coffee. What more can you ask from a small town Motel?

Repulsively disgusting. Bugs all over the room & bathroom. Doors are mangled, falling apart & don’t line up in door jam. Toilet paper holder broken, 2 rolls left on top of toilet. Will never book anyone from our company to stay here again. Our crew checked into the rooms & immediately left the hotel. They were so grossed out that they didn’t even want to try another room. They decided to all the way back to Chicago, IL thru the night after working a full day instead of staying 1 night at the Scottish Inns Collinsville-Martinville, VA… Expecting a full refund

The woman running this motel is rude! The air conditioner in the room is old and is blowing out warm air and it's HOT in the room and she Will Not move us to another room. I stayed before this and it was far from great but it was doable but I Will Not stay again at this motel.

A good choice if you don't require all the bells and whistles. Although an older property, it is well maintained and updated. The room was VERY clean even though it's a little dated. You can definitely tell it used to be a smoking motel because the odor of stale smoke has permeated the walls but it's nowhere near overpowering since it's likely been years since anyone smoked in it. It is very much in the background and shouldn't set off anyone's allergies. The mini-fridge worked very well and there was a relatively new microwave that was very clean and didn't look like someone processed a deer in it. A nice, big flat screen TV with Xfinity cable was a surprising and welcome addition. The bed was very comfortable to me: A memory foam topper over a firm mattress that wasn't wallowed out and lumpy. I needed a last minute late checkout and the owner (Kat) was very accommodating which helped me out immensely. Overall I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend it.

It is what it was an old run down Motel that needs a complete refresh. Bathroom was below par, broken fixtures, damaged tile, toilet even paper roll dispenser was gone. Oh, and bed was horribly uncomfortable. Front desk lady was nice.

The bed was really comfy, the staff was nice but werent always available when needed. The ac was cold but u can change the temp so its not to much.

Door had recently been kicked in, frame had not been repaired, couldn’t secure door very well. Carpet needed cleaning, sheets were dirty, holes in the wall. Would not recommend. Front desk was friendly though.

I didn't know that they did not allow check in after midnight. I thought all motels allowed check in any time. I shouldn't have to work around their schedule. I got there at 2am and the office closed at midnight. I finally raised somebody and she was extremely rude and refused me a room and refused a refund. I ended up driving 4.5 hours home instead. Is there a way I can get a refund??

I went to go check in after paying on hotels.com and traveling 700 miles to get there for the NASCAR race come to find out they had zero vacancy even after I paid and now I’m still waiting on a refund from hotels.com

Not only was the room cheap, but the lady behind the desk was very pleasant, even though it was Thanksgiving. I arrived the day before and stayed until friday so that i could spend the holiday with my family. The room had everything I needed and to my surprise the bed was much softer than most hotels I've stayed in. Even the pillows had substance to them. I will definitely dray there afain the next time I'm in the area!

If you're looking for fancy, then this place is not for you. If you're looking for a clean cheap room, then give this place a try. Lady at the front desk is always friendly.

Kat greeted me with a smile even though we checked in late. The room had everything we needed, a table with chair, microwave, fridge with freezer for our ice packs, desk and chair, iron/ironing board, tub for me and shower for sis with updated water streams. Of course there was a tv and internet. The a/c cooled nicely and the bed was the best. This hotel is located on a main road, so if you are a Princess you may need to find another castle, but the rest of us will sleep just fine here.

Once a year we participate at Oktoberfest in Martinsville. We always stay at Scottish Inn because it is next door to Elizabeth's. We also love the cat colony around there.

Nice overnight stay for the race. Close by and convenient.
