The location of the hotel and size of the parking lot was about the only thing positive that we had experienced. From the moment we walked into the side entrance of the hotel we were met with an overwhelming smell of marijuana, and it stayed that way all weekend long. None of the side doors needed key cards so basically anyone could walk in and out of the hotel as they pleased. When we walked into our room it smelled like old cigarette smoke and weed, and was very outdated. The blankets were very thin, the faucet was dripping and must have been for a while with the noticeable stain in the sink. The smoke detector was hanging out of the ceiling as well. We went to check out the pool and hot tub, the jets in the hot tub and just stopped working and the water had a yellow tint to it, not sure if it was stained on the bottom causing it but some updating could happen. We mentioned our concerns to the front desk, who advised she would speak to the manager about the smell in our room and hallway to see what they could do. The manager said because our room was by the entrance way and people just doing as they please, she stated they have a hard time controlling the smell. Paying $500 for three day, I expected something better than this. We had to put our clothing in our car due to us not wanting the smell on all our items. Still waiting to hear back from the manager and owner on my concerns. But I would advise the owner that they need to look into the overall state of the hotel.
