there was no hot tub available it was out of order grounds were putting in a new sprinkler system where the walk way was to the beach and we saw more construction out the window of the restaurant while eating instead of an unobstructed view to the ocean coffee grounds were left in the coffee pot and only one blanket on each bed no others in the closet or drawers for the money I should have had alot more

This hotel is located right on the beach. It was an easy walk out to the water. Parking was plentiful, although there were not many elevators. The property is older, but it's been updated and they've done a nice job. We stayed in a 2 bed room with a kitchen and it was so nice to have the ability to make our own meals. There was a pool across the parking lot with a hot tub and an indoor water feature for the kids to run through. It was a nice hotel and a nice place to land after a long day of driving!

The pool had high chlorine levels to where my eyes were burning. Two of my kids has asthma attacks. Another one puked blood. And all of them were coughing to where it got scary snd it was my sons birthday party. The resturant made us wait over an hr for coffees, never got greeted. The waitress was cussing about the manager. The manger rolled her eyes at me when i ssked for something

Ocean front with amazing views from every room. Indoor pool and jacuzzi with adult only hours. 4-5 miles to Mo's and downtown restaurants or nice restaurant on site. Needs a little modernizing here and there but overall, I'd definitely stay again.

We booked this because it was one of the only properties ones on the beach. 3 deficits with the property: an important elevator is broken, kids play area was closed, water spigots to clean your feet after being at the beach also didn’t work. General upkeep of the hotel has not been done and it’s looking dated. But the rooms were comfortable, clean and everything we “needed”, not wanted was there. The sunset from the deck when the sun was shining was spectacular.

The rooms are notably dirty. Housekeeping needs to do a better job cleaning the rooms. The rooms need painting, the furniture needs updating, and there was an odor in the room. The deli market on site is small but nice, I wish it didn’t close at 7pm. It does have a great kids pool area however the play area was closed. It also has a nice beach access area. I feel like I over payed for what I got.

I was soooo disappointed with this property. 2 Nights/$583.00 for WAHT?????? Our room was very outdated. I could not sleep due to the excessive noise from the heater / the the fridge. Could basically hear everything our neighbors were up to. I called for fresh towels and never received them. The in room coffee is AWFUL. Pls do not spend the $ on this place.

We had a room on the first floor. Very easy access to the beach. The biggest draw back or no air conditioning. There is no window. We can’t leave the patio door open to sleep. I suggest privacy curtain at least. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The rooms were very nicely remodeled. Everything was really nice. The only thing I can say is, do not stay on the ground floor. Because of the dunes, you can not see the ocean from your room. But that was our mistake. We thought it would be nice to walk out of your room and staight to the beach with no stairs or elevators.

I stayed for 2 nights the only thing I can 100% say I loved was the ocean view and beach access! What I liked was they gave me a voucher for the restaurant and the staff were friendly! The pool/ hot tub area was so nice and open for adults only from 10pm to 12am What I absolutely did not like was the room smelled awful when I first arrived, the thermostat heat was only thing that could be adjusted or turn off it was hot and felt airless and only way to cool down was opening the sliding door which did not have a screen door, the bed was so hard I could not sleep, the “front” door had a gap so big I could see the bright light from the hallway my room was in making it so bright in my room ( I hate nightlights so much) the tv was not a “ smart” tv and was spectrum there was only 2 channels that had shows I could tolerate but still was not good and the microwave was sounded awful. I don’t know if I’ll ever stay there again. It depends on if I ever want to pay insane amount just for the view!

Was ok, clean a little run down. Didn't care for the restaurant. Not much selection, no ambiance. No a/c, so had to leave sliding door open with no screen. We were on the 3rd floor so no problem but a little creeped out. No bugs or birds came in. Bed was very comfortable.

The ocean view is great! It was why we chose this hotel and we would do it again. The hotel does not have air conditioning, which we didn't realize until after we got to our room, but they were happy to bring us a fan and it cooled off quickly once the sun went down. We also appreciated the nice bistro attached/next door so we didn't have to go anywhere for dinner.

Loved our stay - to be able to walk right out your sliding glass door and have the beach right there is amazing. Our beds were very comfortable and we loved the hot tub. The staff was great. The only reason why I can't say it was 'excellent' was that the wifi and TV didn't work in the room. But when you have the beach right there, you don't REALLY need the TV, so we loved our stay.

One working elevator out of 3 . Was not instructed on the layout of building as to odd numbered room being on the south and even numbers to the north of the lobby, this led to a lot off walking form the one working elevator.

The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Love that. No fitness center. Check in was very late. Over 2 hours and we had to sit and wait in our car. It was terrible because our room “wasn’t ready yet” and no one could tell us how long it would be. There was no internet so we had to hang around and wait. They would not give out pass code until we checked in. :(

The check in experience was terrible. We arrived at 4pm and the rooms were not ready. The staff was rude and did not feel anything was wrong when we expressed our concerns. In fact they said that the check in was starting at 4pm and could take longer. If that is the case they should write that on their website. The rooms were fine. Will never go back to this property.

We had to cut our stay short. However the hotel won’t respond to Expedia to acknowledge the cancellation. I talked to the front desk person and he said that I needed to go through Expedia to get a refund. I did just that but after multiple attempts, Expedia says the hotel won’t respond.

Disappointing experience. Location was amazing right on the beach with water views, but the running and operation of the hotel was well below par! Check in was from 4pm. Problem was that everyone was checking in at that time and they only had one staff member on at reception. We waited 40 minutes to be served and we were 4th in line! There were another 6 people behind us! Another worker went behind reception and asked the person processing guests if they were on their own, then they grabbed some letters out of the cupboard, called someone to come and help and walked off. The Bistro was the same story. One person taking orders, one person delivering our orders to our table and another came out a couple of times to clear plates. My order was incorrect and two other people had orders for someone else placed in front of them. The room - dusty. Don’t know the last time it was really cleaned. Heating only and so the room was stuffy at night because you could not keep the door open on the ground floor. I don’t know how this would work during the warmer months with no cooling? Bistro at breakfast. We went to get a coffee to go at 7am. The person taking our orders asked us if we were eating and then said ‘because I’m the only one here at the moment and we can’t cook anything’!!! The bistro had about 20 people there … how can you afford to not have paying guests!!! Total disappointment. Would not recommend staying here … don’t be swayed by the location and view.

On our roadtrip, we stayed at 6 different hotels. All were about the sane as far as accommodations, cost, etc. I was surprised checking in at the Driftwood. The staff was dismissive & not engaging. He gave me my key & pointed around the corner & said to your left, up the stairs on 4th floor. After we finished lugging our stuff up 4 flights of stairs, a maintenance man showed us an elevator. The room had a horrible stale, musty stench so we had to leave the patio door open for fresh air. The photographers for the Driftwood website & advertising did an incredible job, but unfortunately it did not reflect the true nature of the property. The price point also suggests it’s a much nicer accommodation than it is. We left asap the next morning.

The best thing Driftwood Shores has going for them is its location. The dunes, the beach just can't be better. The property is a little rundown, but effort has been made to nicely update the units and perhaps the grounds are next up. I would have liked to stay longer to use the full kitchen.

The room was very nice. Up to date furnishings and very clean. Bed was comfortable. The view was great. We had a bottom floor room and it had a sliding glass door that opened on to the grass that led to a very short walk to the beach. They have a bistro on the property. You order at the counter and can eat there or take it back to your room. Food was very good with many gluten free options that I require. They serve alcohol also.

Right on the beach. Watch sunsets from the balcony or walk on the beach. Friendly staff. Building is a bit old and so are the washrooms. Squeaky floors and can hear the stomping from all upstairs all night. Bit far from shops and amenities. Need to drive a bit for a coffee. The beach view and access makes up for everything.

Property is a short driving distance to old Florence town as well as close to great site seeing adventures! The beach is beautiful and is great for long walks! Great spot to relax, no need to drive anyplace since everything you need is right there. Pet and children friendly place! Will definitely visit again!

The room was okay. No AC, which is typical for the Oregon coast. The biggest issue was the restaurant. They only have one, and to be frank it is horrific. We arrived at 6pm, seated ourselves, cleaned our own table off (it was pretty bad). Ordered at 620. Fish and chips, shrimp basket, and cheeseburger. Took 90 minutes to get our food and it was inedible. Everything was clearly out of a box (including the burger patty). We got our own drinks from a little to go fridge and left. We wont be conducting any further business trips at this location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My concerns centre around the laundry machines that didn’t work (clothes came out sopping wet out of the washing machine) and the hours that the restaurant was open. A restaurant that closes between 11:00 and 11:30 to switch over the kitchen.

Loved the hotel, room, and location. Beautiful view from the balcony with any visual obstructions! Very friendly staff. Our room had a full kitchen, equipped with pans, utensils, and dishes. The bed and sofa was comfortable, and the kitchen counter had bonus seating.The restaurant was a missed opportunity. Great space and view of the ocean, but the food wasn’t that great, and the kitchen closed at 6pm, which we felt was odd. Cobb salad was decent, but the pizza was a greasy mess. Even after asking for it well done. Only other options were burgers or fried food. I would definitely stay here again, but would do my own cooking next time!

Had to wait over an hour for our pizza in the restaurant because they only had one oven but didn't say anything about it. The pizza was tasty (though served in a pizza box with no plates or silverware) and they gave us a free brownie to say they were sorry.

I had the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in the bistro. I waited for over an hour for some fish and chips. They said my ticket didn’t print. Said they would refund my credit card, but they did not. Everything else was good.
