Hoped for some views and peace and quiet in a relatively expensive hotel but it was pretty bare bones. Didn’t have a microwave, breakfast, parking was competitive, no views, no hair dryer and you had to go into the office to ask at the front desk for ice. Office didn’t open until 8 so we couldn’t heat up a quick breakfast in the microwave. No breakfast offered. The hotel next door was fabulous! We dined outside with great views and explored the garden and played games in the bar area while being serenaded by a live piano. We had no views at our hotel and there wasn’t an elevator for our second floor room which isn’t a big deal except for a handicapped individual - which I am. It is also right next to the busy highway so it wasn’t the secluded cliffside hotel I had hoped for. For the price I had hoped for more amenities. It just wasn’t a convenient stay for us.

Beautiful grounds and sweeping views of the river. The room was very nice but on the small side and faced toward the freeway. It's newwer building that has good windows so traffic noise was minimal. The room I stayed in had a pretty steep set of stairs leading up to it. Not an issue for me but could be a deal breaker if you have trouble climbing a flight of stairs.

Very clean and modern room. Room is on the small side, only one luggage stand provided. Rooms are on the second floor with no elevator, limited parking near rooms, additional parking down the hill in unpaved lot.

The Cliff Villas were fantastic! And there was an awesome trail next to the Columbia River and saw 2 bald eagles up close. Amenities, parking, quiet and that we could bring our doggie were all big pluses too.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. First, parking was a major issue. We drove around the property several times trying to find a spot, which was quite frustrating after a long day of travel. To make matters worse, the hotel office sign was nearly invisible, making it difficult to even locate where to check in. Once we finally found our way to the room, we were disappointed again. The room was incredibly small and felt very cramped, almost claustrophobic. It wasn’t bright or welcoming, which made our stay uncomfortable. Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

The place was very clean and comfortable. Very nice soaking sized tub. The front desk attendant, I believe her name is Laura, was very helpful and gave me a stellar dinner recommendation. Definitely will stay here again!

Fabulous place to stay when visiting the area. Easy to get to and easy to travel to the downtown for shopping and eating. Would definitely recommend. The room was delightful and super clean and the staff couldn't have been nicer.

I think it depends entirely on what room you are assigned to. Looking at reviews, I see that people staying in the suites are entirely satisfied, while those relegated to the one-offs are basically pretty disappointed. I was in a room that was a part of a suite, separated by a door with a do not disturb sign. I could hear everything on the other side if the door. I had a view of the highway. Even with the windows closed, the highway noise was significant. The room was approximately 13x13, no microwave, fridge, etc. parking is very limited and initially parked behind another building, quite a distance away. Very clean and nice linens and towels and friendly staff. My car got a much better view than I did. It seems 3rd party sellers are utilized to sell these rooms off, despite almost certain disappointment.

We were there for a wedding. We upgraded to a two bedroom suite. It was well worth it. It had a large, fully equipped kitchen, dining room with table for 10. Two fireplaces one in the master bedroom and the views were incredible.

This was my second time staying here and the reasons i booked a repeat stay were still in effect: a comfortable room in beautiful surroundings. Our room this time was small but had a nice view of the river and a shared patio space outside. The bed and linens were high quality. Our only complaint was that the rainshower showerhead took up so much of the small shower stall that it was hard to find space outside of the stream. But the water pressure was good! Would still stay here again.

Pretty location if you are in the building overlooking the Gorge. Unfortunately we were in the room with a view of noisy hwy and off ramp. I was told when I booked that I’d see the gorge from window but only saw hwy. Room was very small and not a lot of space to walk around the bed.

The location is great - easy access to downtown Hood River and on/off 84/30. We stayed 3 nights so the location was helpful for sight-seeing and hiking in the area. Our room faced the river which was lovely. The bed was comfortable and I was happy there were feather and regular pillows. Our room was only a bedroom and large bath. We did not have a kitchenette which I expected since it was a villa and the pictures on-line show a small apartment. We only had a small fridge and no microwave. The coffee provided in our room was in tea bags that required a certain pour of hot water to taste strong enough for us. The staff were nice. Our room was cleaned daily without asking. Eat breakfast at Bette's in downtown Hood River - yummy!

Our "partial view" was no view at all. Worth checking with the hotel for details prior to selecting a room. Also--no one was at the front desk for a good 10-15 minutes when we arrived--no way to check in. In general: very comfortable king-sized bed, fine bathroom/linens, not too much else.

We were hoping to have a river view from the advertising on Hotels.com but we were given a very small highway frontage room. It was fine for one night and very clean. We got moved to a larger room due to toilet problems, so that was a plus. The crew on staff were very accommodating and helpful with the move. Thank you.

Four night stay for daily hikes in the Hood River and Columbia River Gorge area. Nice location just above the river. Comfortable Euro King Studio with partial river view. You can sit out at two patios and enjoy the river setting. Easy car access to town and waterfront breweries, restaurants.

I have to say the location is very nice and mostly quiet. The first night there after 10pm, a group was in the parking area making a lot of noise. I had to say something to them and ultimately texted management. Also greatly needing adjustment is the presentation by Expedia. They show a suite when in fact it is a room, much smaller no micro, hot pot. Not a proper representation of what is actually being rented. Beware! Overall I recommend this location.

Beautiful vista, but unit looked out on main hiway. Room was quite small for the price. No walkable possibilities to food, groceries, services. Would have been thoughtful to offer breakfast. Extremely tight, limited parking.

this property adjoins the historic Columbia Gorge hotel . The grounds there as well as connected to this property are beautiful. This hotel is very convenient to the freeway entrance and to the street to downtown. I have stayed here once before and was happy to come back.

The view is beautiful. The buildings are beautiful. It is very clean, & the staff is very nice. It is a beautiful area. The bathrooms are very large. It is expensive. The coffee bags made terrible coffee. The noise from trains during the night was very noticeable. It is not close to anything.

This was a fabulous place to stay in Hood River with close proximity to the downtown and Hood River Waterfront Park which has many dining options. Our room had a view of the Columbia River, was clean and had excellent anemities including robes, coffee and tea, a mini refrigerator and comfortable bedding. We were greeted by Meredith in the front office who was delightful!

The first surprise was having to carry our bags up a flight of stairs. The check in person said we could upgrade our room for an additional fee. The lack of elevator was "difficult " to find on the website. This looks intentional. The room had a musty smell, partially covered by some product that smells horrible. Like artificial cherry. It was in the towels. The ac didn't work properly. Cold in daytime and ineffective at night. The wi-fi was weak. The restaurant was not open when we went for breakfast. The sound of cars and trucks from the close highway was heard all night. There was a great view from the gardens and in fact the gardens were lovely. The staff uses them for smoking. There were even more issues.
