The staff at Holiday Inn in Glen Rose was pleasant and helpful. This hotel is newly renovated, so the rooms and lobby are beautifully updated and clean. Breakfast had a nice selection and had some healthier options like turkey sausage that I really appreciated as someone with gastrointestinal issues that cannot eat pork. My only problem I had with this hotel is that my family went to Glen Rose during spring break and were extremely bummed that the pool was green all 3 nights we were there. By the morning we left it finally seemed to be clearing up, but we were not able to use this amenity which is always a highlight in my family's getaways. What was more frustrating for me is that this Holiday Inn was set at a higher price point in comparison to nearby hotels (most of which had functioning pools). So, although the accommodations may have been newer than some of the other hotels in the area, they didn't have access to what my family feels is the most important amenity, which was just really disappointing. Overall, we did have a decent stay here. It's just very unfortunate that I picked the more expensive hotel in the area, hoping to avoid any issues, yet we were not able to utilize the pool as we like to do on all our family trips.

Stayed 2 nights had 3 rooms with my kids and grandkids. Had to have one of the rooms changed on the first night because of an alarm malfunction in the room. The lady a desk was very nice. Breakfast was great. The elevator broke the second night and pool was also out of order on second night which was very disappointing to the grandkids. Wouldn’t stay here again

This property is incredibly clean and comfortable. The rooms have been nicely remodeled and updated. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My only complaint would be how thin the walls are and how the noise carries. I was awakened at 10pm by some very loud ladies in the hallway and again at 4am to our neighbor snoring very loud, followed by 6 am extremely loud talking. That is not really something that can be remedied , but the cleanliness of the room made up for it. If you ready my previous experience from another property in the area, I will happily take the noise over filth.

The hotel is in a nice area. The side facing the street had some traffic noise and we were on the first floor and the room next to us had a door that boomed every time someone went in or out - which they did a lot. A room facing the field would have been wonderful - could watch the deer. Be sure to ask for a non-highway facing room. The staff was nice at check-in. Completely absent at check-out. Couldn't find a staff member so we just left our keys. Rooms not cleaned great - my 7-year-old granddaughter found a discarded invisiline on the floor (thankfully before my 2-year-old grandson found it and put it in his mouth). The "breakfast" was disappointing as there were so many people we tried 2x and they were out of nearly everything. Ended up grabbing food offsite. The night was fine, will probably try somewhere else next time but as this was last minute I didn't look around much.

Every thing was excellent except our room was adjacent to house keeping storage so we were woke up very early by loud talking and banging stuff around. Then we could not get back to sleep due to this. Other than this one thing every thing else was great.

Hubby and I stayed here for a Spartan Race. When we got here to check in, the front desk staff was AMAZING! AND she had waters, pickle juice, candies, all sorts of small goodies for the race the next day. How thoughtful was that for all of us?!?! Would definitely stay here again!

The check in was smooth. Kyara was amazing at the front desk. The hotel smelled new (renovated in December). Room was clean and beds were comfortable. There was a group outside on the patio at 1am, the employee at the front desk handled that quickly. I appreciated that! Would definitely stay at this hotel again

Great place to stay! As far as I’m concerned, this is the ONLY a place to stay in Glen Rose, TX. The stag was very accommodating, & the property was clean & comfortable. I will always stay here when going to GR.

Only an overnight stay but the hotel Checkin was quick and easy, the hotel was spotless and smelt lovely and clean. The room was nice and big with plenty of space. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate. Everything felt new and not dated like some hotels. If I had to pick a fault it was that when they ran out of hot food for breakfast we were waiting ages for it to be refilled so we gave up and had cereal. But that’s no great shakes.

They told us the pool was accessible and they had just put chemicals in it(this was the first day of Spring break for a lot if kids)! Also their breakfast was not serviced well. They ran out if food and they shut down the pancake maker for most of the breakfast. Again, a full house with kids

Recently renovated with nicely furnished rooms and amenities. Nearby gas station with famous fried pies! Very good coffee at the breakfast area. Noticed most small children were muzzled and kept on leash, so it was relatively quiet at night, and peaceful during the day.
