Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis-Wolfchase Galleria

Saturday night about thirty guests cars were broken into and many lost valuable property. A security car was on site but for what reason, I don't know.

The hotel was nice, and in a good location for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice. Breakfast was great too! However, on our second night there over 20 vehicles were broken into in the parking lot. We didn’t feel comfortable staying at a literal crime scene so we checked out early. We were granted a refund for the night of the break ins and the night we were supposed to stay but left. Also have been told that the security guard that was on duty that night has been fired. However, this horrible event tainted the remainder of our trip and has us questioning ever staying at this property again or any other property in this brand.

Area is nice. Lots of food and shopping options. Hotel amenities were great. Pool was nice and they had guest laundry. We were there with our baseball team/families. Nice patio area to gather right outside pool. Breakfast was good each morning with lots of options. Rooms were a bit on the small size. Bathroom floors were a bit gross in the corners, but overall it was a great hotel and great stay.

The lady checking us in was in a terrible mood and rude. Terrible way to start a stay. There was mold all over the bathroom and the coating on doors and walls was bubbling and peeling. The Air Conditioning didn’t run unless we turned it down super low. There were several cockroaches around the pool. The breakfast in the morning was the best part. All four of our kids found something they liked and really enjoyed it.

For some reason, part of the parking lot was blocked off by barriers, which made leaving and entering the parking lot difficult.

Great except the pool was closed. I picked the hotel based on the property having a pool. Wasn’t informed at check in, it was just locked.

The hotel was conveniently located for our visit. The parking left a lot to be desired with only 3-4 handicap spaces, and lots of Diamond members parking, and the back lot blocked off after a certain time. The room was nice, but the floors were not cleaned very well. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

We always stay here because it’s close to everything around town and the hotel is clean, staff are friendly. Easy check in and out. Kids enjoy the pool as well. Breakfast is good for a buffet and complete. We love it here.

Parking area was clean, secure and they had a security person for late nights. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms were clean, nice and comfortable

The floors throughout the entire property were visually dirty and in some areas sticky. The floor in my bathroom left black dirt all over a white towel that was on the floor. No hot water during my stay in the evening or following morning. Strict no refund policy meant no compensation. Stay elsewhere!

We stopped here just as a pass through night with our kids. When we walked in, no one was at the counter, when they did come out, they were not welcoming. The floors were dusty everywhere and it smelled musty. The dirty floors continued up to our room. It was an immediate turn off. There was old food crumbs in our room. I don’t think they were ever cleaned. I would have left if I didn’t have 3 tired kids with me. Would not stay here again. I love Hilton property, and this did not meet expectations

The hotel is old and has a mildew smell. The carpet in the room is very old and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed—it was very dirty. The furniture in the room was outdated and unclean. I received two towels, one of which had mucus on it, and the other had hairs on it. It was extremely unpleasant. I will never return to this hotel. I chose this hotel because my last stay at a Hampton in Chicago was wonderful, with exceptional cleanliness and service, but it seems not all Hamptons are the same.

Loved it!!!! Only small issue was left over clothing on carpet but it blended with it and was hard to see. Great hotel. Would definitely stay again. Staff was great.

Rooms were not as clean as I would have expected. Hoise cleaning came by early every day, even the day we were checking out

The room was absolutely filthy. Stained carpet, furniture and lamp shades. Bad smell. Pink mildew all over the grout around the tub and black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Corners and baseboards looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Carpet in hallway was full of crumbs.

Hotel was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfy and sheets were clean. Bathroom could use a little more cleaning, and there were stains on the headboard, and the baseboards were dirty. Overall, pretty clean, but cleanliness could be a little better.

We were impressed with the spacious room that was updated, TV worked well, clean, only complaint was bed was very firm and not very comfortable and low water pressure in shower. Good breakfast. Felt safe. Nice area of town. And security patrolled premises at nighttime. I would return there again.

We usually stay at Hampton and find them clean and comfortable to our liking. The only negative thing about this stay was the shape of the tub. It was not flat on the bottom so there was very little if any flat space to stand on.

Room was nice. Beds a little to high off the floor for the height challenged wife. The showers did not have a non slip smart or bottoms and I slipped a few times which was a concern. My biggest complaint was a lack of tv schedule or channels. Playing Russian roulette to find something to watch was a bit annoying. Especially with us being from out state. Loved the super cold a/c!

I booked a king for me wife and I, and wound up with a queen (one bed) accessible. Not the end of the world, but not exactly what you expect when forking over $178 for a night. When we entered the room, we noticed the thermostat was off and it was hot, despite being fairly cool outdoors. Next we turned on the A/C, and were greeted with an incredibly loud thumping and vibrating noise coming from the unit underneath the window. I tried every combination of turning on the heat, the fan, and back to cool, and clearly the fan motor itself was badly damaged. We knew there were no other rooms, and so we tried to just get to sleep. It got hotter, so I tried turning it on again, and the vibration was so bad it literally was shaking the bed across the room, and no doubt had to be causing other guests to wonder why there was an earthquake happening in Memphis. Plus the noise was unbearable, so there was no option but to try a last-ditch effort of calling the front desk, with the hopes maybe somebody had already checked out. So at exactly 1:03am, we turned the lights on, and called the front desk. No answer. It rang over and over and over. No answer. I hung up and called again a few minutes later. Ring ring ring (x 20). No answer. We got very little sleep. Since then, I have spoken with the front desk and Assistant GM and had no resolution to-date. I am not "going away" and expect this to be resolved ASAP. I will keep escalating this until resolved.

The property was nice and clean! But updates needed! The shower is old and dated! Shower curtains are no longer convenient!! Shower doors would be great! Double sinks would be nice! I had a king room! There aren’t luggage racks or benches! The carpet seems old! There needs to be a brighter area with furniture! There were mismatched lamps!!

I did not like the new t-v remote - no instructions on using it or t-v guide. And the remote was like none I've used at any hotels before. Once I talked to the nice person at the desk & was shown, could figure it out. Personnel were very good at the hotel.

Our only complaint was the lack of outlets in the room. No place near the bed to plug in a phone or tablet charger. Otherwise an outstanding property!

The property is in a great area. The hotel itself is really nice. The staff was courteous and check in was simple. I loved the room. It was clean and the beds were immaculate. When I checked out the next day, maid service was on the hall. Thank acknowledged me and was courteous as well.

The staff bent over backwards to accommodate our special needs. The desk attendant was very curteous and friendly. Made us feel very special by ensuring our wants and needs were satisfied.

Stay was fine until the day of check out. I asked for a late check out which was 12 noon. Their regular check out is at 11am. Would you believe housekeeping came banging on the door at 10:40am yelling check out is at 11. As if I was staying at rinks dink MOTEL or a place that offered free rooms. I have never seen anything like this. I called down to the front desk and explained what happened and the front desk staff said “Oh they didn’t mark you for late check out I’ll let them know”. That didn’t even matter at this point. Even if I was checking out at 11 why you the maid have come 20 minutes prior banging on the door to relay that. THEN…. Came back banging at 11:59am on the dot. But before I go to far off subject the night I checked in and headed towards my room there was a man getting ice from the machine with just a blazer on, NOTHING else, then also appeared the next night in the LOBBY! Getting coffee in just a long tshirt with no bottoms on whatsoever again. The place was nice, the room was clean, but i would never pay over $200 a night to have someone rush me out and basically make sure we hurry up and got out and a weirdo walking around literally half naked. That was extremely unprofessional and tacky. I expected better from a Hilton property seeing and that what I’ve been choosing ONLY my last few stays out of town.

Front Desk/ operator not picking up calls from room on Thursday evening. Rang twice and waited for 15 rings with no response.

Room was fine. Staff billed me incorrectly making me double pay the stay. Still haven’t received my credit. Toilet wouldn’t flush and tub wasn’t draining.

The staff seemed to be bothered to check us in and check us out. Our bed was made, towels changed, but they did not even trash the empty coffee cups

The manager she was very professional and welcoming. She had the upmost customer service skills. My room was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely return.

Nice area with shopping and restaurants. Very convenient to I-40

The Inn is very conveniently located in east Memphis, near shopping and restaurants, including the Wolfchase Mall. The in-house breakfast was generous and fresh (eggs/omelets, sausage, potatoes, pastries, oatmeal, cereal, juices, coffee and tea, fruit). The room was clean and well stocked with towels, bath supplies, etc. Bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was efficient and responsive. Staff was very pleasant. Exercise room was clean and well maintained. We'll definitely book here when in Memphis again.

Great location, easy parking, great comfortable room.

My room was very noisy because my window was facing a bar that had an event and had loud music playing. I called the front desk to request a room away from noise. The front desk told me that was room I had paid through expedia and for that reason they could not charge me or modify my reservation were I paid the difference!

It was hard to find the entrance to the hotel. The room was fine.

Breakfast on Friday 11.22 was terrible. No hot food. Cold hard biscuits. Cold eggs. 11.23 and 24 were great as usual.

I had no problem with checkin, checkout or during my stay. Wasnt too fond of the breakfast menu though.

always a great place to stay when in memphis. disappointed that the breakfast was less that what we are USED to at this hotel... no fresh fruit for the oatmeal for 2 days... ran out of bananas... no apple juice for 2 days... other than that, everything else was great!
