The pool was okay. It was pretty chilly, and not really much to it. Also the towels ran out. The place itself is very clean, which is great! We also loved the view of the lake and the pretty scenery and patio outside (even though we didn’t get to use bc it was too cold, we were commenting how nice that was). The room was okay… I couldn’t sleep. The pillows are floppy, the beds are very firm. The heater/ac is extremely noisy and no matter what, you have to have it on because how stuffy it gets in the room. The breakfast was decent! Eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee, pancakes… quite the variety. The staff is really friendly. All in all the rooms just need a bit of TLC. But we had our shares of bad bad hotels. This was decent, it was good for one night. The television also has a lot of options for things to watch. We consider staying again, it was close to where we were visiting.

Clean hotel with breakfast. There are swimming classes for the outside kids. Swimming instructors teach the local kids and there's not space for the hotel guests. We picked this hotel b/c of the pool that we could not use. It was very disappointing.

Our stay was great! The hot breakfast in the morning was a perfect start to our day. The patio was comfortable with enough seating and space to have your own private conversations. The room was spacious even with 2 beds. There was a microwave and a refrigerator as well. There were Dove products in the bathroom and enough channels to find something to watch. Wi-fi worked great with no interruptions. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There was hair in my bed and a remote control cover in my bed when I flung the blanket. It didn't go to my remote. My remote had the cover. I won't stay again. I did let front desk know about hair and remote control cover. She was very nice. Breakfast was good.

the outside door lock, from the parking lot did not work reliably so we had to walk to the front several times - this was a safety concern. The room was good but there is VERY little light by the wall mirror and coffee station making it hard to see in those areas where it's important to be able to see. Otherwise, it was a great trip

Everything was great! The bathtub could have been cleaner and the TV was purple the whole time but over all it was clean and comfy. The breakfast was one of the best free hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. My boys loved the pancake machine.

The hotel was nice, free breakfast average. The only problem was our room location. Room 412 was next to the ice machine which sounded like it was in our room. Open 24 hrs one guest filled his cooler or something large full of ice at 3:30 am!

The best part of our stay was the excellent service and care that Cynthia Pearce,the operations manager gave us after checkin. Initially there was apparently a mix up when checking in where our booked handicapped room appeared to not be available. I tried to make the best of it even though in a wheelchair. Cynthia looked and immediately went into action, understanding and made sure that a larger totally handicapped room was immediately cleaned and ready for my husband and myself to access. Within minutes she reversed the snafu that another checkin rep had done, with a smile making me feel so special that I literally cried. It is her thoughtfulness that so impressed my husband and myself that Now we will only stay at Holiday Inn Express when traveling to see family every summer.Kudos to Holiday Inn Express for having such a valuable asset as Cynthia Pearce.

We rented two rooms - 1 was great, the other was not cleaned two days in a row and no fresh towels. Even if there was a “do not disturb” one day (left room 10 am and removed sign),second time there was not. Needs better oversight to ensure cleaning is done.

Staff who checked us in was not welcoming, it felt like we are a bother. She never smiled and looked me in the eye. We changed room, the first room bathroom shower diverter was broken, we changed room which was a hassle since we were tired already and a little late.

Some guest left a bunch of half and half containers in the corner of the elevator that wasn’t cleaned up; otherwise I would have rated the cleanliness excellent. Unfortunately the pancake maker was out of order during my one night stay. That can happen anytime.

We have stayed in this hotel before, and the reason we go back when we are in the area is because we like it. However, this time they put us in room #410, which is right across from the ice machine. Several times during the night people used the machine, jarring us awake each time. The first time we jumped up… it was so loud we thought someone was kicking the door in! Lousy night’s sleep because of it. Why would someone design a hotel with the ice machine right in front of a room? It would only be fair to warn guests and to offer this particular room at a discount. Also, the breakfast was sub-par… the pancake machine was broken, and the eggs were omelette shaped but included no cheese or veggies. Just a bland, dry, omelette. Don’t pass by this hotel- just beware of where your room is.
