After an epic road trip we treated ourselves to a night at the Seal Cove Inn; Lovely position for a short drive to San Francisco Airport but over the hills and on the coast road away from the hustle and bustle; A special stop off that makes you feel like a personal house guest, not a traveller; Add to that wine o'clock and cookies, Personalised breakfast and well stocked facilities; Just lovely

Check in was easy, Sharon was very friendly and informative. Unfortunately the nearby Fitzgerald Reserve and Moss Beach were closed due to storm damaged, but there are many other trails nearby. We really like the cypress tree forest and beautiful garden. Breakfast was simple and nice, complimentary beverages available 24 hours. A very nice stay, quiet, peaceful and relaxing.

Our room had a gas fireplace and porch overlooking their garden. Seating was comfortable and the ocean peaked over the trees. Nice walk along eucalyptus covered bluffs. Breakfast was brought to our room if we chose. Staff was helpful and engaging. They offered cookies each day and wine before going out to dinner. Definitely will return

Place is very quiet and so peaceful. You have access to many trails right outside your door. Loved breakfast in your room and their all day cappucino,coffee and espresso machine downstairs. Complimentary wine and beer nightly as well. Michelle & Laurie were fantastic and so helpful for anything you may need. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great getaway!

Beautiful garden. Relaxing inn with fantastic breakfast, happy hour and cookies that will shock your granny. Def go to the distillery for dinner, just a 10 min leisurely walk. Walk the bluffs, close to some of the most beautiful beaches we’ve seen. Wish the garden had some lounging chairs/ patio furniture. The ones available were not very comfortable so you didn’t wanna sit for too long which was a shame bc it was the best part of the property. Super comfy beds. Silky sheets, water and coffee bar all day was theeeee best thing ever! This was our second trip. If you are looking for action, probs not the place for you. Very chill area to unwind and relax!!

When we first arrive, we spoke with Stacey she was amazing! She took the time to go over everything. The room was beautiful. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite full kitchen, with Keurig machine and also have a machine in the lobby, along with soft drinks etc. We would stay here again.

I have stayed here before. My previous visit was a better experience. First the room was pretty dirty this time. Lots of fingerprints, black stuff in the shower, spider webs, little Nats on the wall and even some blood on the shower and bathroom walls. We stayed in room number 4. The rooms definitely needs updating. We also didn't get to enjoy the wine and beer service. With all that said the Inn is beautiful. The staff is very helpful and welcoming.The gardens are so peaceful and the walk to the beach is a short walk. I would definitely visit again but i wouldn't stay in room 4.

Beautiful property! We loved the proximity to the ocean cliffs and to the Cypress trees. The surroundings were all very quiet with very little tourists/visitors. The staff was super nice and helpful, and the room and building was clean and nicely decorated.

Seal cove lives up to its name. Upon arriving at the property, we were greeted by the sweetest hosts, chocolate chip cookies and wine. The place itself is beautiful, clean, quiet and located just a walk away from the beach. We took our two year old daughter who loved the garden and watching the seals down by the cove.

We were greeted at check in with a fresh baked cookie! The room was absolutely clean and beautiful. Lots of information was shared with us regarding the area. Highly recommend this place! A small wedding would be very nice among the cypress trees. Breakfast was delicious!!

I adored our short one-night stay here. We were in one of the larger suites and I especially loved the enormous bathroom and bathtub. (We came directly from a hiking trip in Yosemite and taking a bath here felt like such a luxury after that!) The forest and beach behind the hotel are so gorgeous - we went for a sunrise walk in the morning and wow, the light through the cypress trees and the pelicans overhead was just stunning. The included breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room to enjoy fireside! So nice. I hope to come back here again soon!

An absolutely wonderful stay! This is my second time staying here. It’s so cozy and on such a beautiful property. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with a personal patio looking into a gorgeous garden and a fireplace. This is one of my favorite places to stay!

Location is wonderfully situated in the middle of all things Moss Beach and Half Moon Bay has to offer. There is a short hiking area located just minutes walk nearby for folks that don’t prefer to take a longer journey or just want an easy flat stroll with views of the ocean. Venus and staff are very warm, courteous, and professional. Loved the professional coffee machine and in-room breakfast option which arrived right on time and tasted very good. Warm cookies in the evening is a cute touch after we got back from sightseeing and scrolling. Recommended to bring hiking boots only because there’s a lot of walking and trails nearby.

Too many texts. It felt like as soon as you got here they were already reminding you to leave. We got a text at 8:20pm to put our sign out if we wanted our room clean. Then another one at 8:00am it is nearing your time to depart. Check out isn’t until 11am. The text woke us up.

When we first arrive, we spoke with Stacey she was amazing! She took the time to go over everything. The room was beautiful. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite full kitchen, with Keurig machine and also have a machine in the lobby, along with soft drinks etc. We would stay here again.

Absolutely perfect. Loved our stay here from the friendly welcome, complimentary drink and breakfast, comfortable bed, lovely room and the surrounding coastal walks. Very convenient for SFO, just sad we didn’t have time to stay more than one night. Highly recommend staying here

Seal Cove Inn is an excellent property. Nice facility near some outstanding natural features like Seal Cove Beach and the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve which has great walking options under the Cypress Tree Tunnel and the bluffs Along the Pacific.

Beautiful property! We loved the proximity to the ocean cliffs and to the Cypress trees. The surroundings were all very quiet with very little tourists/visitors. The staff was super nice and helpful, and the room and building was clean and nicely decorated.

Great location away from it all with beautiful walking trails right out the door. The staff was great, room was very nice with a sitting area in the garden right outside our sliding door. Evening wine and delicious breakfast.Sooo quiet! I will definitely come back!

Location is wonderfully situated in the middle of all things Moss Beach and Half Moon Bay has to offer. There is a short hiking area located just minutes walk nearby for folks that don’t prefer to take a longer journey or just want an easy flat stroll with views of the ocean. Venus and staff are very warm, courteous, and professional. Loved the professional coffee machine and in-room breakfast option which arrived right on time and tasted very good. Warm cookies in the evening is a cute touch after we got back from sightseeing and scrolling. Recommended to bring hiking boots only because there’s a lot of walking and trails nearby.

Property and service are lovely, clean and staff delightful especially Laurie. Rated 4/5 because while you have choice of breakfast, it is not particularly interesting when staying for more than one night. Should be wider choice. Minor issue after 8 pm- no way to resolve

The Inn is an absolute gem! Very friendly staff and beautiful accomodations, inside and out! Wine by the fire at night and a lovely breakfast in the morning were just two of the highlights of our stay. We plan to return!

We were greeted at check in with a fresh baked cookie! The room was absolutely clean and beautiful. Lots of information was shared with us regarding the area. Highly recommend this place! A small wedding would be very nice among the cypress trees. Breakfast was delicious!!

Place is very quiet and so peaceful. You have access to many trails right outside your door. Loved breakfast in your room and their all day cappucino,coffee and espresso machine downstairs. Complimentary wine and beer nightly as well. Michelle & Laurie were fantastic and so helpful for anything you may need. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great getaway!

Excellent hotel that is about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The property is in great shape and the staff are outstanding. The only “downside” is that you will need a car to get around otherwise be prepared to walk / ride a bike - but if you’re looking for a place to just put your feet up and let the days pass you by, it’s tough to find better!

Everything from the booking experience to the checkout experience was perfect. The breakfast was wonderful, as was the afternoon social gathering with wine. The gardens on the property are lovely. The sound of the ocean in the distance is peaceful and the hospitality of the staff was definitely noteworthy!
