no elevator available i was given a second floor room

We arrived late, having booked online for a quick overnight stay on a road trip to unwind and take a swim. Disappointed when we got there to find the elevator and pool were both out of commission. I had an injured foot so stairs weren’t ideal (we were offered a handicap accessible room, but did not feel that was necessary to take from someone else who may need it more). Went up the stairs to our room, open the door and there is a large stain across the floor and up onto the bedding. We immediately called the front desk and he was very accommodating in moving us to another room right away, which was clean and worked well for us. Generally in our travels we have found Country Inn and Suites to be more reliable than this experience.

This property needs to be brought up to date. Broken furniture, leaking shower, lights didn’t all work. Advertised a heated indoor pool and it wasn't heated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful which made the stay okay.

Overall it was okay. The pool had way to much chlorine. Our kids eyes were burnt up after swimming and it was hard to breathe in the pool room. The breakfast was okay but left a lot to be desired. I had to have my keys rekeyed a few times and was never ID. It was a different employee each time, which is a safety concern for me.

The hotel needs some TLC. It is ok for a night or 2 though, clean and safe considering its right off the interstate. Pool was terribly cold and looked unkept. No towels provided, Breakfast was good, breakfast staff was attentive and helpful.

Staff was extremely friendly. Hotel is in need of some deep cleaning and updating. Pool was not heated and nothing in the exercise room worked. Hotel was just not clean.

Pool and elevator closed

We booked this hotel because there was a pool. It turns out the pool wasn't open and the elevator wasn't working so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. I am sick of hotels that advertise amenities and then don't have them. It is easy to put a mention that facilities are out of order. We travel between Florida and Canada frequently and will be avoiding the Country Inn and Suites brand.

Need new carpet and the fit center equipment half worked and the pool is always not of service

Property seems a bit rundown. Elevator not working and has been out of service for a while from a previous review. Only upside is nice staff. Won’t be going back

The white towels had a brown tint. Tub had dirt stains. Breakfast did not open until 7:00 on the weekend. No coffee in the lobby before 7:00 am. Compounded by the broken coffee maker in the room. Carpet felt sticky and was stained.

This hotel was the dirtiest I have been in. The floors were filthy. There was terrible odor in the hall those rugs were also dirty . The cushions for the sofa had mold stains all over. The remote was sticky. The walls and molding had food? Splatters . Poor lighting conditions , tub shower set up was outdated. No venting in the bathroom . I would hesitate to stay at another Country inn while traveling.

My room smelled bad - bathroom and bedding were clean but furniture and floor rugs very worn and retaining bad smells.

This property rooms are really run down. Furniture looks awful & carpet was dirty throughout whole room. Bathroom linen was dingy & worn. Cleanliness definitely need to be improved.

Bad odor in elevator and hallway. Room dirty including bed frame and under the mattress. Friendly check in but no one to check us out. Would not recommend.

Bathroom was dirty. Moldy shower curtains. Wouldn’t give us extra bath towels. AC didn’t work in the room. Sheets were dirty and pillows. 0/10

The bathroom had hair on floor and the pillowcases were dingy and dirty and soft. Out of 4 we used 2 of them. Towel was dirty and front door kept getting stuck.

This hotel is so dirty and broken down. It really should be closed! My son was bitten by bedbugs!!! The room had an unpleasant smell. I noticed debris in the radiator, the bathroom was beyond nasty with brown spots on the handicap bars, mold and mildew on the shower curtains, and throughout the bathtub. The shower rod was broken as well as a light switch. I couldn’t believe a hotel that looked so nice outside would be a total disaster inside!

There were a lot of places to eat at that was in a walkable distance. Also, the rooms were clean.

The front desk clerks were very helpful and friendly. That was a plus. Sadly there were some minuses. 1. The hallway in the second floor has weak wood throughout the length of which made it feel like we were going to fall through. It definitely should be checked for termites. 2. When I walked in the room it had a pretty bad odor of urine. 3. The furniture was worn. The arms of the chair in my friend's room had big chunks missing from them. 4. So that I can sleep well when I'm away, I'm very pleased when my room is pitch black. Well, I had drapes I was able to close, but they feel a little above the bottom of the window, so at night light filtered in through that opening. The longer drapes that many hotels have in addition to the short ones were non existent in my room

Bed was not comfortable. Furniture is old and tired. There were stains on the sheets and comforter. At breakfast waffle maker wasn’t working. French Toast sticks were cold.

My (accessible) room was clean, comfortable, and not outdated at all. Check-in and out were easy and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I saw other reviews complain about noisy heat/ac units. It did make noise but nowhere close to the roar I've heard in other hotel rooms. There was quite a bit of noise from the hall but not at night when I was trying to sleep. I may have gotten lucky & had people i neighboring rooms on the same sleep schedule as me. My only real complaint was the internet service, There were no premium channels included so I tried to watch an HBO show on my laptop. I could hear 1 sentence & it would reload for 2 minutes & that happened over and over. I called the front desk to see if they were aware of the issue and if they could they fix it but the answer was it had nothing to do with the hotel, it was an issue with wifi in that area. I didn't use the pool and didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on either of those. It was handy to have several restaurants within walking distance & I felt safe walking around which is not the case for other places I've stayed at in Emporia.

I really wanted to like this place. We stayed one night, the room had dust everywhere, there were stains on the lamps, ceiling and walls. The AC did not work. I think this place needs a remodel asap.

This would be an ok stop to sleep for the night and leave in the morning. Our room had some defects to it that were not a big deal but not what I expected from the rating of the hotel. Curtains were ripped in places and holes in the blackout shade.

Room drapes did not block parking lot lights which were extremely bright

Facility looked dated. Tv size very small and had very poor quality. Big Dresser furniture had no door or drawer knobs.

Easy access to the highway, different restaurants, and shopping, which was Walmart. Also what I would like to see is to have up-to-date furniture in each room that would be real nice. What I enjoy about the room You guys did have microwave an a refrigerator that was amazing.

Air conditioner fan was ridiculously loud, had to turn off and open window to have peace to sleep. room was clean and comfortable, bed very comfortable and loved the deep tub. just fix the air system thanks.

I guess I expected more from a Radisson property. The room was clean, but big chips missing from the wall where a picture had once been. The desk and chair were both in very bad shape and there were several bleached areas of carpeting in the hallway. The lady who checked us in around midnight was very nice, something you don’t always get when CB rocking in late.

When we checked in desk person so helpful. Told us where we could get good food and she wss right I wish I had gotten her name friendly and courteous.

I thought the place was ok….but the staff was great in helping me. Ileft a bag in my room and they were very helpful in getting it back.

The stay was great and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

They initially put me in a dirty room and my key card did not work after the second day. Nothing crazy, just annoying

The front desk staff was very unfriendly and unprofessional her kids were running around in there like it was a daycare and the bathtub did not drain properly you had to stand in the dirty water ankle deep it was very disgusting

Great place to stay for stop on the road. Right off I-95 s or Rt 301 s. Location perfect for food, gas up or just coffee for the road. Very friendly staff, at check in I asked for late check out (12pm) with no issue. Room and bathroom good size and clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast included was good..lots of choices; eggs, sausage, roasted potatoes and even waffle maker. Staff kept eating area very clean and food replenished. Great coffee too! I will definitely stay here again, money well spent!!!

Not a very nice place. I will say the room was clean but the property was not. Windows broken- elevator floor was horrible- tripping hazards. Man working the breakfast bar was downright rude. I don’t appreciate people getting in my space let alone being pushed by him

Rooms were clean and the staff at the front desk were welcoming.

Great Shower, good bed. MORE THAN 45 min delay at lobby to get Room. Paid thru Expedia. No record of reservation. No help at front desk. 12 guests checked in while we WAITED and WAITED. Expedia called the front desk to straighten it out, but he was busy with checking in another guest and did not take the call. After another 20+ min we were given a room. - we don’t intend to use Expedia again - we don’t intend to use your hotel again!!! - You & Expedia need to make improvements so this never happens again. - if you could give us a room when nothing had changed, WHY NOT DO IT EARLIER!! THIS WAS A GIGANTIC DISAPPOINTMENT!

First down was staff, not welcoming. Second the facility is not well maintained and clean.

convenient to highway

The train kept us up all night. The bathroom was a bit rough, TV didn’t work and the there was no extra sheets or bedding for the pull out.

Good place for an overnight stop off I95.

Easy on and off from 95. Clean rooms, clean property. Good breakfast, comfortable beds. Perfect for one night stop!

Even though breakfast opened at 7 there was no coffee until 8:30

The breakfast area and the young lady working that area was spot on everything was very clean and well perpared

Pros for this stay were no road noise and people around us were very quiet. Cons: Rugs are very dirty, curtain in our room was torn and hanging, toaster at breakfast didn’t stay down, juice dispensers were broken. Also not much variety.
