It was a quiet centrally located clean. The Jacuzzi tub was great roomie. Everything was good except the two chairs were really rickety. Just need new ones. They have a great little refrigerator with the freezer part separate on top that keeps even ice cream cold. The check process was pretty flawless. Just need to make sure You contact them before you stay so you can get the code sent back to you the day of and then when the room is ready, they will let you know. It worked well for me.

The Wi-Fi is not very good and therefore there were some issues with television reception, but the bed was so comfortable the Jacuzzi tub so refreshing. I enjoyed having the microwave and coffee maker in my room as well as a large bathroom area beautiful cozy fireplace that I’ll come back in the winter to enjoy.

Super cute room. Bed was hard, yet you sunk in. Couch was very, very worn down. You can feel the metal bars when you sit down. Jacuzzi tub is super cool, but unfortunately the jets in my cabin weren't working, but I still enjoyed the tub very much. You're also able to watch TV from the tub, which is really nice. The shower has 2 shower heads, be prepared to lose a little water pressure when using both. I enjoyed the location, very close to a lot of things. There is assigned parking via a sign on one of the cabins. I would 100% stay here again if they upgraded the bed and couch. There is a mini fridge and microwave, both work well. There weren't any tissues in the room, which I thought was odd.

Very clean, spacious, disappointing getaway with heavy traffic on Big Bear Blvd The gas fireplace was not the same as a wood-burning fireplace. Very Cozy with a nice, firm bed, fireplace, couch and jacuzzi tub wide enough to sit side by side snd watch TV. Also loved the two shower heads with plenty of room to shower together. Located North of Division Rd so we got a chance to explore reataurants and shops we don't typically see when staying close to the villiage, like a newly discovered favorite, Pickles Pie Shop, where you'll find the best home made pies on the mountain. Order ahead, they run out fast.

Host was very welcoming and responsive. My cabin had all the essentials, great heater and powerful hot shower pressure. Maybe the bed sheets and towels could use a refresh, but again everything was warm and clean. This is definitely a homey, woodsy cabin, not a fancy hotel/airbnb, which was my expectation, so I was very satisfied.

I had mice in my room, it was dirty and had stains and sap on the couch, The bed was super uncomfortable, and the fireplace continued to put out heat even after I turned it off. I ended up having to turn the gas off myself. I texted them (since there is nobody actually on-site) to tell them about the mice and the fireplace and request a refund for the following nights but they would only respond to my complaint about it being too hot. I never did get a refund. I could have dealt with the room being dirty, but between the mice, the bed, and the heat I could not sleep all night and I had an event the next day which I was totally destroyed for. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, PAY AN EXTRA $100 AND GET A REAL ROOM. I ended up getting a room at Sessions and it was wonderful.

Old with a strong mildew smell. I understand it’s supposed to have a rustic, mountain feel to it but desperately needs a “makeover.” Cottage needs better lighting. Very dreary, depressing and dark inside. Curtains and fake flowers arrangement need to be removed. They are only collecting dust. Plug outlets are so old, that plugs kept falling off. Bed was decent (memory foam) but after 3rd night, my back was sore. Jacuzzi was the only thing good.

When I arrived I was a bit discouraged by the exterior & thought I made a bad choice. However, the inside room was fantastic. Bery clean, comfortable, & pleasant. I got a great night sleep & would totally return!!

Nice place for the weekend if you're looking for a quaint, cute, little spot. However, it could use some upgrades. Couch was the worse and even looked stained. However, we put a sheet on it and it worked for a couple nights.

My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our stay. Pros: quiet area Wonderful bath tub Amazing shower Calm atmosphere Circle K right across the street Cons: New memory foam matress was overly hard (but might be perfect for others) Had to drive to anywhere to eat or any other entertainment Over all would do stay here again!!!!

The stay was quiet excellent. The cabin was located close to the village and had nearby amenities. The room had a jet tub in full working order as advertised and was stocked with a double headed shower as well. The room was quiet spacious and enjoyable for this trip. Additionally, the manager was quick to respond to any queries about the property and was very helpful in addressing any information relevant to my trip. Overall, this was a great cabin, especially considering the price point.

Cathy’s Cottages was so nice. Yes, it is a bit older and rustic, but that is what you want when you come to Big Bear Lake. Everything was clean in the cottage and it was very peaceful. We loved the memory foam mattress, the fireplace on a timer and the jetted tub. It was a perfect weekend getaway. Also you can park your car right out in the space in front of your unit. Amanda was such a sweetheart checking in on us because we were arriving very late from Las Vegas and she wanted to make sure we got into our cabin alright. Thanks Amanda for the special attention.
Cathy’s Cottages was so nice. Yes, it is a bit older and rustic, but that is what you want when you come to Big Bear Lake. Everything was clean in the cottage and it was very peaceful. My reservation was all set by phone,they gave me the address and it was the wrong location I texted them and they responded with an apology and gave me the right address. When we arrived the lights over the fire place didn’t work the room was dark it needs a little up care, I’d rather see a front desk and talk to someone,will not do another phone reservation again

My boyfriend and I came to Big Bear for a quick getaway trip for a few days. This place was literally the most perfect place we could've chosen. All I really wanted was a fireplace and a hot tub, and this was above and beyond. Honestly i thought the place was going to be pretty small, but the pictures don't do it justice! It's actually a huge studio, with lots of nice little features, like a heating light in the bathroom, fireplace timer, fast heater, etc. I could go on and on. We absolutely loved it and our vacation was incredible. Huge props to the staff, especially Amanda who helped me check in. Everything is pretty close by, and our first night it snowed a bit and we were worried about a snow storm. We were able to find dining easily and the next couple days we drove back and forth to shop and eat and come back and relax. Awesome place, thank you so much!!!

It's actually a huge studio, with lots of nice little features, like a heating light in the bathroom, fireplace timer, fast heater, etc. I could go on and on. We absolutely loved it and our vacation was incredible. Huge props to the staff, especially Amanda who helped me check in. Everything is pretty close by, and our first night it snowed a bit and we were worried about a snow storm. We were able to find dining easily and the next couple days we drove back and forth to shop and eat and come back and relax. Awesome place, thank you so much!!!

The stay was quiet excellent. The cabin was located close to the village and had nearby amenities. The room had a jet tub in full working order as advertised and was stocked with a double headed shower as well. The room was quiet spacious and enjoyable for this trip. Additionally, the manager was quick to respond to any queries about the property and was very helpful in addressing any information relevant to my trip. Overall, this was a great cabin, especially considering the price point.

The owner has more then one property at Big Bear and the directions to the site I booked were unclear. Consequently, it took us an extra hour to get help finding our booked property. Otherwise it was a lovely room and convenient, easy location and parking

Difficult reservation system, Communication by text only. The links were troublesome for confirmation. Very clean, spacious, disappointing getaway with heavy traffic on Big Bear Blvd The gas fireplace was not the same as a wood-burning fireplace. Will be sure to get a cabin off Big Bear Blvd. next visit .

My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our stay. Very Cozy with a nice, firm bed, fireplace, couch and jacuzzi tub wide enough to sit side by side snd watch TV. Also loved the two shower heads with plenty of room to shower together. Located North of Division Rd so we got a chance to explore reataurants and shops we don't typically see when staying close to the villiage, like a newly discovered favorite, Pickles Pie Shop, where you'll find the best home made pies on the mountain. Order ahead, they run out fast.

Great stay…room was super clean (cottage #2). The in-room hot tub was also clean and was the main amenity. Double shower. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker all other pluses. Bed was comfy (firm in a good way!). Convenience of Circle K a VERY short walk away. Situated right off the main road and the cottages themselves have an out-dated feel and could use a little TLC in general, but couldn’t beat the value of price coupled with the coziness and convenience of location. Don’t expect a beautiful view from your room, it’s not that type of location. Easy check-in via text messaging. Would stay again!

I would definitely would recommend this spot for couples. Love the quiet atmosphere. They had a double shower. Which is perfect for couples. close drive to everything we need(groceries, shop, restaurants). The only down side I have is that it’s near then main highway so you hear the traffic.
