Rooms are spacious and comfortable and staff was nice but I could not access the WiFi the entire time I was there which they kept telling me they were having problems with but could not help me with other accommodations. Also the treadmill was out of service which I was hoping to utilize during my stay and the weights were very dirty and there were no wipes offered in the gym to clean anything.

The heat was broken in the room where the indoor pool was located as well as the heater in the pool. I specifically booked this hotel for that specific amenity and was unable to enjoy it. Had I know that before booking I would’ve stayed at the Doubletree just a few miles away. The breakfast was also the worst I’ve ever experienced at a Hampton Inn. I won’t be staying at any Hampton Inn anytime soon based on this experience and would advise others to do the same.

The pool was supposed to be heated and that's why I chose the property, however-- it was VERY cold even though I was told that YES it was heated! Please DON't advertise a HEATED pool if it is VERY cold!!!!!!! Thanks!

The cost was very good, the rooms clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We picked this hotel in part because it had an indoor swimming pool for our grandkids. However the pool was not clean. Green in color and not heated. Could not swim in it. Our grandkids were very disappointed. This was the downside our stay.

The property was nice and clean. However, the TV was small for a Hampton Inn and the channel selection was poor. Last, I needed to download a document and I didn’t have my laptop, so I went to the Business Center and there was nothing but a printer, nothing else just a single printer. The lady at the desk wasn’t helpful, so I went next door to Country Inn. They had a fully-equipped office center- and they were kind enough to let me use their computer. Everything worked out….no thanks to Hampton Inn. Hey Hampton in South, you should have a printer, scanner, and computers for your guest. There are moments, when you need a computer, not just your iPhone.

This location was the worse Hampton property we have ever stayed. The floors did not look like they had been cleaned, the room only had 2 lights, mold in the bathroom, the bedding was horrible, the experience was hands down just horrible. We wanted to leave but we arrived so late it was not worth the trouble. I will be contacting cooperate about our stay. The staff member who checked us in was very nice but sadly that was the only positive about our stay. I do NOT recommend this location.

Property is old and needs complete updating*. Room was clean, but sparsely furnished compared to other Hampton Inns. Tv was maybe 24 inch, linens threadbare at best. Can’t get a bar of soap for the shower. No evening cookies offered. Very disappointed.

The property was fine. My only concern is the lack of plug outlets in the room. We had three phones to charge and a CPAP machine and had to pull out furniture looking for an open plug.

My major gripe was that there was no microwave in the room. REALLY??? Apparently, some rooms have them, and some don't. Also, the darkened curtains weren't flush against the window allowing too much light into the room. I had to sleep during the late afternoon, and it wasn't working to well for me. Also, the AC kept turning off.

My family and I stayed for one night (booked 3 rooms), and from the moment we checked in, we were met with great hospitality. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and made sure all of our rooms were together, which made things so much easier for our families. The kids absolutely LOVED the indoor pool! It was a bit too chilly for me, but they had a blast. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the linens were just as nice. I usually struggle to sleep away from home, but I actually got a great night’s rest! In the morning, we took advantage of the free breakfast; sausage gravy and biscuits, egg and cheese omelets, homemade waffles, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, breads, juice, and coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious. Check-out was quick and easy, and every employee we encountered was friendly and welcoming. If we’re ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here!

When we checked in after 3:00 pm the room was not ready. After checking with cleaning staff for a vacsnt clean room, the hotel staff gave us a room Unfortunately there was a mistake for the room provided had not been cleaned. After returning to the front desk to tell them the problem we then were provided with another room. The staff explained they had confused the information relayed: it was a room on the third fooor not second. They spologized for yhe error.

The hotel was overbooked. The desk clerk assigned our room to two different parties. We finally got another room. All through the evening the clerk has been turning people away that had reservations. A lot an angry people.

THE SERVICE WAS BAD, WAS THERE 4 NIGHTS, OUT ALL DAY CAME BACK TO ROOM , NEVER CLEANED , NO CLEAN TOWELS . EVERY EVENING HAD TO GO TO THE FRONT DESK TO COMPLAIN AND GET CLEAN TOWELS . EVERY TIME REQUESTED MAID SERVICE THE NEXT DAY , NOTHING DONE . ON THE LAST DAY THE DESK CLERK TOLD ME , THAT i HD A THIRD PARTY RENTAL AND THEY ARE FROM TEXAS AND THEY DO THINGS DIFFERENT IN TEXAS . LOTS OF PROMOSES , BUT ALL TURNED OUT TO BE HOLLOW DREAMS .

I booked this room two days in advance of my arrival. After driving for 10 hours I arrived at 1am and was given the key to a dirty room that housekeeping never turned over. Their solution was to give us a room with no working shower after making us wait 40 minutes. By 2am I finally found another hotel in the area to stay at. Zero stars.

There was no problem with the hotel itself, but you have to go into downtown Harrisonburg for any decent restaurant or bar. If I had to do it again, I would stay closer to downtown....but to be clear, it's only 3 miles from the downtown, so it wasn't a major problem.....but if you're looking for places within easy walking distance, this aint it.

Property very nice and clean , facility in good shape. Room maintenance needs some work not done because they hadn’t been advised Room # 406 needs some love. Bathtub clean but needs bottom surface attention. 2 carpet stains in front of bedroom tv that quite frankly turned me off. The lack of supervision is in the frr breakfast presentation. Awful eggs, poor quality sausage , attendant not resupplying trays in a timely fashion. I grew up working in the Hilton system serving Chock Full of Nuts Hotel and Restaurant blend coffee. This coffee was horrible and real milk or cream should always be available for your customers, if you care!

The service at the front desk was friendly and upbeat. The room was clean enough. The fridge door was out of skew and that is probably why it was out of the cabinet it normally would have been in. The stand in the bathroom needed attention and was a little beat up looking. The bed was comfortable with choices of pillows to use. The breakfast was horrible. The eggs and the sausage were overcooked and a little rubbery and the potatoes did not really taste like potatoes. I did not say anything to the staff because what is done is done. Can't fix what I already experienced, and they should know better. The housekeeping staff needs to report things that need attention to be fixed and the breakfast staff needs to adhere to cooking guidelines, as well as better quality potatoes.

This was a nice large room. Lots of space with our golden retriever. They weren’t able to accommodate us on the ground floor which was fine. There was no breakfast left when we went down at 7:45 am due to a ball team and a band. The staff were caught unaware apparently or poor planning whoch was annnoying. Otherwise I would stay here again probably.

I was very disappointed with the breakfast. We waited for over 30 minutes during the continental breakfast, and there was not any hot items. It was very disorganized and a lot of unhappy people as the only thing available was cereal, yogurt or bagels. In the room they provided large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. When I showered the conditioner and body wash was completely out. My parents who were in the room next to me informed me that they had the same experience.
