There are no real hot options for breakfast, not even a waffle. We have stayed there 4 times over the last 5 years. Once was winter, so it's understandable. But, the pool has NEVER been open.

It was the first time I ever saw rusty lamps in a hotel room. There was partially rotten and old fruit at the breakfast. The alarm clock and phone looked like they haven't been cleaned in months. The pool was closed and had masks floating in it. One of the reasons I booked the hotel was for the pool. It had a horrible disinfectant smell as soon as we entered the room. I booked the room for 3 nights, if I hadn't drove for 14 hours straight, I wouldn't have stayed the one night I did. We were out of there in the morning, with a refund for the other two nights. Terrible place.

Never saw any staff. Room was not clean. The was awful you sank into it jello. The pool was closed and it was just July 23. Why would you close your pool before labor at least. Stayed here 5 years and it was great but I won’t be back.

Picked the hotel to have a pool. Checked in and was told pool should be open and later was told it was closed for the day. Wanted to see about canceling to go somewhere else but was stuck due to the fact we walked into the room. Put a bad taste for the property for me. The staff was very polite and professional.

We were in town for my son's Lander orientation....the location was perfect! We took full advantage of the amenities! The pool was wonderful, the fitness center was great and the breakfast was great! The staff were all very nice! The room was comfortable and clean! We will definitely stay again when we are in Greenwood!

The. Staff is very unwelcoming and just plain rude. There is never anyone at the front desk. And of all things the pool is closed in all this heat. Why would you close the pool in July. That is just plain crazy.

The desk clerk who registered me was kind, friendly, and helpful. It was a very nice stay, quiet and efficient. Breakfast was very simple but quite adequate. Very clean and offered in a nice, inviting, little breakfast building behind the main building. Close to various stores, restaurants, and local colleges. Access from the main road was easy. I enjoyed my stay!

Despite decent online ratings (7.5/10 overall, 8.0/10 for my room type), my experience was terrible. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a strong musty smell and excessive humidity despite the AC running. The bathroom floor felt slick and left dark residue on my bare feet - absolutely disgusting. This residue was also on the carpet throughout the room, making it sticky to walk on. I wish i'd bought some flip-flops to walk in, but i didn't. I requested a room change but was told they were "fully booked" on a Thursday evening. However, the front parking lot had only 3 cars, and even when i checked out early the next morning, occupancy appeared well below capacity. Only 2 other guests were at the 7:20am breakfast, which consisted of basic cold items (cereal, toast, bagels) with minimal hot options. The front desk staff was polite, but the room conditions were unacceptable. The humidity and cleanliness issues mentioned in other reviews are real problems that management needs to address. For the slightly higher price compared to nearby options, you'd expect basic cleanliness standards to be met. Bottom line: Save your money and book elsewhere. The musty smell and dirty floors made for an uncomfortable stay that no amount of savings can justify unless you are really desperate. i never write reviews, but i rely on them immensely when booking, which is why i felt compelled to leave one for this stay.

Everything about the room felt sticky the second I walked in, from the air to the floor everything was sticky. I decided to wear socks the entire time and when I went to take them off for bed, the bottoms were brown. So glad I brought disinfectant wipes for the sink area.

The sheets had a stain on them. The bathtub was dirty, and I had to get a glob of hair outta the drain that wasn't mine so the tub would drain. There were cobwebs in the corners, & the floors were dirty. However, the front desk lady was SUPER nice!

The room was filthy, we found 2 broken off acrylic fingernails in the floor, several bugs a flies. The refrigerator was leaking into the floor. The non smoking room smelled of mold and cigarettes. The entire room felt damp/wet, including our clothing after being in there for a few hours. The shower drain was slow and clogged, so I got to bathe in other people’s old funky water. The keycards only ever worked once then had to be rekeyed every SINGLE TIME , because we would get locked out. As a woman traveling alone with my daughter this felt extremely unsafe. Zero weather stripping on the door so bugs just continued to enter and exit the rooms. The front desk staff was very nice, the hospitality staff, did their work very loudly, not once considering people could still be sleeping in the hotel as they were gossiping loudly outside the rooms while cleaning and turning over vacant rooms. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Wyndam properties are usually nice, they should be embarrassed to put their branding on this building.

Very easy to check in, room was clean and there were definitely plenty of food options, if a bit plain. Only annoyance, and this is only applicable in the heat of summer: our room was damp during our entire 2 day stay. Consider using a dehumidifier before a room gets booked, and it'll help preserve the walls as well.

Property was clean but musty smelling, very mildew. Fridge ran so loudly when the cooler came on it hurt your ears! I unplugged it and complained at desk and NOTHING was done! Plus I had to go down daily and get fresh shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Oh! The 3rd day the maid took all my towels! Didn’t replace them, just took them and didn’t even empty the garbage!

My one night stay was very good. Bed was comfortable and everything in the room worked as it should. My only complaint would be that i didnt have any bath towels in the bathroom and had to dry off with a hand towel. but no biggie.

The room (319) was very humid regardless of the temperature and wreaked of a heavy chlorine odor. The furniture was damaged and the light fixtures had rust on them. We were allowed to only have one set of towels each due to the possibility of the hotel "running out" even though they weren't at more than 70% capacity the whole weekend. The building they use for serving breakfast was actively being renovated (cabinet doors removed and large buckets of paint were in the open for guests to see). This was a very disappointing experience especially for a property under the umbrella of Baymont.

The staff at checkin and checkout were extremely friendly. Room was clean and perfect for a one night stay for my daughter and myself. Convenience of fridge and microwave in the room. Loved being on bottom floor and able to park directly in front on our room, as that made unloading and loading extremely quick. Breakfast options for free onsite has enough variety for anyone. Highly recommend if staying in the area, plus you can’t beat their price.

When we arrived to our room there was a bit of water on the floor area of the bathroom and vanity area. I thought that maybe they just cleaned and it was damp from the mop. In the middle of the night I went to the bathroom and it was about a quarter inch deep amount of water that was coming up through the floor. We contacted the office and they said the manager would be in around 10 am. Finally when she came she said she would have to determine if we needed a different room or not which I found odd seeing as though there was water all in the floor. We literally had to wait on maintenance to come and say that we could move to a different room. The maintenance guy even asked well how much longer are you gonna be here as if he just wanted us to ride it out. I just completed a cross country trip across the US and not one problem. Come to Greenwood Baymont and it was awful.

I stayed at two different Baymounts during this trip. Neither had electricity but the other figured out how to let me lock and unlock the doors, while you couldn't. You also couldn't figure how to charge me by credit card, so you insisted on cash. On top of that you demanded a $50 deposit for a room I could barely use. Your service was awful.

Just finished working 13 hours, pull in to a homeless man putting his hands all over my bmw soon as I step out of the vehicle. Walk in the office to inquire about 7 nights worth of Wyndham points the hotel refuses to give me as well as some clean towels only to be laughed at by the clerk when I mention the man making contact with my vehicle. To top it off, I'm told I have to "bring the dirty towels down to the front desk" in order to get clean towels. The clerk refuses to apply the points I have earned as well. Will be filing complaints with the BBB and other agencies as appropriate.

This is the 2nd time staying there and probably the last. It’s the 2nd time the front desk employee was rude. No “Hi, Welcome to the Baymont.” Always seems like you’re interrupting them from what I’m not sure. I was the only one in the lobby. You get scolded up front “Do not get the towels dirty or you will be charged, Do not damage the room, you will be charged.” Have you looked at the rooms? Cause you haven’t fixed any damage. It’s to the point that I take pictures of the towels and the room so they don’t come back later and say I dirtied the towels or damaged the room. The AC didn’t work but we were afraid to say anything based on how we were treated at check in. It’s a shame because the hotel is close to Lander University where my son attends.

Asked for more towels and they were given. Will use this hotel again if needed in this area. My granddaughter will be attending Lander College so we may go up and stay a weekend to get to see her. Breakfast could be a little better.

The breakfast room in its own building was great! We paid a Little extra to check in early. Our room was CLEAN!!! Bed was comfortable, towel were nice, soft and bigger. The shower head was amazing!!! The staff and even the other guests were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms smelt like mildew pool was dingy around the edges! The breakfast was horrible just close this place down! My room smelt like smoke, trash was in the trash can tissue in the toilet! The manager said that wasn’t enough trash to give a refund are you kidding me and the toilet had pee stains on it shower had hair all over the tub it was horrible!! Not worth 5$ it’s a trap motel not safe

From check-in to check-out, the service was great. Room was clean, everything worked as advertised. The breakfast was good, with a good variety of items. I microwaved two boiled eggs and exploded them in the microwave. It was loud enough to be heard in West Virginia! Instead of calling me the idiot that I was, the nice lady working the breakfast bar just laughed and told me not to worry, that she would clean it up after I offered to do it. She was AWESOME!!!
