Claremont Motor Lodge

This place was spotless! The room was updated w/ large flatscreen and cable. I like the motor lodge layout where you can park in front of your room. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This motor lodge is easily accessible, modest and exceptionally clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this motor lodge/motel.

Need a one-night place to stay. This definitely fit the bill. This is definitely a no-frills facility but the rooms were very clean and service was great. I would definitely use this motel again should I find myself in the area.

Nice property, clean, quiet, and family owned. It is an older style motel with outdoor entrances to each unit, so don’t expect fancy. It was a clean, safe, and affordable place to lay your head for the night. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

I say no frills, but it was perfect for our needs. Stayed one night post a family wedding. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. They had everything you could need for a short stay. The lodge is located close to the main road to be easy to located but far enough away to keep traffic noise down. Exterior looks like a simple strip style motel but the rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely modernized with comfortable bedding and laminate flooring. Staff was friendly and very accomidating, they were able to allow us an early check in so that we could get ready for the wedding after driving in. Small business charm in spades!!! If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in Claremont oli would recommend.

While the building is an older motel the rooms and property are very clean and well maintained. The staff/owners are very nice and helpful.

I got a corner room, which was far more spacious than I expected, the bathroom was HUGE, the paint was fresh, the carpet looked like it's barely been walked on, and the linen smelled nice and clean (and I'm a guy, so if *I* noticed it smelled nice and clean, that's really saying something!)

The staff was friendly enough and the check in was easy. The room had been thoroughly cleaned. However, the room was not as updated as it appeared on the website. The bathroom had water damage on the ceiling and walls and the lighting in the bathroom was not very good.the shower curtain had water stains. Loud guests late into the night. Pickup truck playing loud music in the parking lot.

Everything was good EXCEPT the overpowering odor of the cleaning products they used. It was so bad that I was ill for a solid 24 hours after I checked out after my overnight stay. I left the windows open for 4 hours while I was out for the evening; I returned at 11 PM to a room that still reeked and was 58 degrees. If it weren’t for odor neutralizing spray (which barely helped) I would have had to sleep in my car. Manager was kind and tried to help, but should have at least offered a discount. If you are the least bit sensitive to strong odors, avoid this motel.

Looks like a regular old motel until you go inside. Place is very nice and kitchen in the rooms are very very usable.

Room had paper-thin walls. If you are so unlucky as to have a noisy neighbor as I did, you won\'t be able to sleep. Stuffy, mildewy smell in the room combined with cleaner stench. Noisy fridge. Hazardous tub without a shower mat or handles of any kind. Closest food is at a gas station a mile away. If you are considering staying at the motel (it\'s a motel, not a "lodge") so you can get to Okemo, it\'s too far. I ended up cutting my trip short because the 24-mile commute to Okemo would take forever after a mild snowstorm. It appeared that roads leading to Ludlow/Okemo were not plowed at all.

Liked the refrigerator and microwave in room. Lighting for reading in bed excellent. Convenient drive to groceries. Very clean and quiet. Thanks for including decaf coffee option in room. A/C worked well but very loud. Only very small table for eating (no chairs - had to sit on sofa). Area around hotel not great for strolling around.

Nice, older motel that was updated attractively. Other than the walls being rather thin, I had a pleasant stay and was pleased with the accommodations.

I liked the property, and my stay was truly like a home away from home. However, what I didn't like was when I called to check if I had an extra day, I was not told that I did have one as a consequence, I paid for a day that I did not need and when asked to be refunded for the $192 just 15 minutes later I was only refunded $49. Lesson learned. I will stay here again because I enjoyed the stay but will be more mindful of booking.

When I arrived, there was a gentleman that checked me in. He was very accommodating to the needs that I had and gave us a handicap accessible room. The room itself was OK but definitely need some updating. Part of the heat shield for the heater in the bathroom was missing. There weren't enough towels for the two of us. The limp next to My Husband was very hard to turn on so I was very nervous about God for pedophile. I feel like they don't Check all the safety features of each room after the guest leave. What I didn't care for was that does nobody at the front desk until after 7 AM but you could call a phone number. I let it ring about six times and finally someone answered who sounded as if they were still sleeping. I think I woke this person up. I explained that I left the key in the window, which I did not feel comfortable doing because I felt like anybody could come by and grab the key and go in. There should be a locked dropbox that you could just drop your key and that no one has access to. The screen door definitely needs to be fixed as it wasn't shutting correctly. What I did like about the room was that it had its own refrigerator and then a separate freezer that we could put our ice packs in overnight. The parking lot is immaculate. Well kept and super clean. The grounds are well manicure as well. There is a company across the street that had heavy equipment running but once in our room, we were not able to hear it. The bed was very comfortable. No breakfast.

I was quite impressed with Claremont Motor Lodge. The property has really come a long way. We stayed for 2 nights, and went to NY for 3 nights, and returned to this place for 2 more nights. Our room was perfect; it was super clean, beds were comfortable, a/c worked great (it was hot when we were there), fridge was cold, microwave worked, shower was good. I asked if we could get the same room for our return a few nights later and they were able to honor my request, which I really appreciated. I have to say, the manager, I believe his name is Rakesh… the man doesn’t stop working! From sun up to sun down, he was tending to the property; from filling in cracks in the parking lot, to the exterior paint, to the sweet little garden in the back… kudos to him and his hard work! And he is friendly too! He was so sweet to my son, just a delight. I only had 1 small complaint: our room only had 2 towels, and I was there with my 2 kids. On my last night, I brought my used damp towel to the office to swap it out for a fresh towel so my son could take a shower. I didn’t get an extra towel, I swapped a used one with Rakesh. A couple of hours after checking out, someone from the hotel (not Rakesh) called me and said “the extra towel you got isn’t here”, and I explained “I didn’t get an EXTRA towel, I swapped it. Ask the manager!” This bothered me for hours, so I called back and they confirmed they went back and saw me on camera bringing a towel in. That call and accusation was a bit offensive.

It was great and I enjoyed the location. Its not far from Woodstock or Hanover.

This was a last minute booking. There wasn't a huge selection in Claremont. The property was dated but everything was neat, clean and tidy. It was out of town and in a residential neighborhood. It was a quiet location. It was good for a night and for what I needed but I wouldn't search out to stay there again. The front desk clerk was very nice and the room was clean and in a safe location.

While there is nothing fancy about this motel, it seems to be well run, and it met all my expectations for desired motel-room functions and comfort, including a refrigerator that is cold enough, a generous 4 pillows per bed, and a printed list of all the cable TV channels. The owner is responsive when help is needed, and the grounds are well maintained, including a back garden. The cost for a Friday in late June was considerably less than most other motels in the region, which were going for $450-$600/night. Located a few miles E of I91.

My brother i law and I decided to add a last-minute Christmas week ski trip to our calendar. We found this place very cheap for a Last minute booking!! The place was excellent!! Rooms where very clean no lingering smells. The water pressure in the shower was excellent! The water was super hot!! 👍 The rooms were large enough to hang in after a long day of skiing! Desk, dresser , mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv lots of cable channels…. The room Fits 4 just fine. It’s 35 mins to Okemo 30 mins or so to Mount Sunapee…. Lots of great restaurants within minutes of the hotel! All the places we ate at where within 3 miles! GREAT RESTAURANTS!!! I recommend this little motor Lodge we stayed for 4 nights! We will be back this winter!

Very good small motel. It's set back from the highway across a small river. Appears to have been recently renovated with good fixtures and bedding including A/C/ . Coffee in room, but no breakfast.
