Our room (that we shared with our 6 year olds) had a pungent marijuana smell and the pool was not up to par- it looked dirty and needed repairs. The surrounding area is ghetto- like a motel with an actual barb wire fence. Yikes! The bright light of our stay was Ebony at the front desk. She was friendly and helpful and had a great, welcoming, and warm energy. She gets 5 stars but the place itself was not worth my money!

Nice hotel, room was clean, water pressure in the shower was amazing. Had a small health room with two treadmills and another machine. The waffles for breakfast were good. The beds were amazing and so were the pillows. Had a very good night sleep. Front desk staff was very nice.

Booked at the last minute due to horrible conditions at another hotel. Staff was wonderful from the first minute I walked in. Facility was spotless, wonderfully decorated and very well maintained. Parking lot has ample lighting and security is top notch. Highly recommend.

Very polite and helpful staff. Location is great as it’s readily accessible to the main freeway, restaurants and stores and yet was quiet. On the downside- only one elevator (but never a long wait) but the floor was constantly sticky or dirty), the TVs are not smart so no streaming as at other Marriotts and the mattress and pillows were the worst that I’ve experienced and mind you, I’ve stayed at Comfort Inns and Hilton Garden inn (both had very comfortable mattresses and pillows).

This property was rated a four star hotel but it should've been rated a 1.5 star. The facility was outdated with questionable cleanliness. I was surprised that this was a Marriott property because the conditions were subpar. The parking lot was dimly lit and the area was sketchy. Several of the lights didn't workin our room and while we didn't see any roaches, I'm certain they were there and mice too. You could tell housekeeping tried to keep the room's linens clean but the other things are out of their control. The hotel needs to be overhauled.

The room was your average room with two queen beds, however, one of the beds was so tightly fit against the air conditioning unit that the person sleeping there was frozen while the rest of the room begged for some cool air. Then the next morning we discovered that the shower turned itself off when the hot water was attempting to be accessed. The sink had hot water but the shower was broken and there was no alternative for a shower from the front desk. The pool was also a disgusting green and covered in leaves, so despite the 75 and sunny day, no one could use it either.

Spent 7 nights at this hotel. The first night we noticed a stain on the sheet with a chunk of food. we asked them to change the sheets and they said the next service would be every 2 days... that didn't happen until the night before we left. The pool was closed the entire time as nobody showed up to maintain it and there were junkies doing drugs on their neighboribg properly. The lady that served breakfast was wonderful though.

We had to pack up and leave once we got ready for bed because there was fleas, jumping all in the sheets roaches in the bathroom and throw up in the elevators. It was absolutely disgusting the worst hotel stay, I’ve ever had.

Room was dirty upon check in. Someone’s dirty sock and a Bobby pin were on the floor. The toilet tipped every time you sat on it. Bedding was clean but stained. We left early on Sunday and the person who was working the front desk was sleeping you could only see their bare feet from the counter. So we just left and on the inside of the vestibule there was a homeless person sleeping. I’d chose another place.

First, the room had a terrible smell, The shower had black mold, microwave so noisy that feels like is going to fall apart, the floor at the breakfast super sticky. I won’t stay here again.

Bugs everywhere in my room, blood on the blanket, clogged plumbing and unhelpful staff. I had to purchase drano myself to resolve the issue since the staff could not help me. Cops were also there almost every night. I would not recommend.

When we arrived at 4pm our room was not ready. We had to wait until approximately 4:45 to check in. There were several other quests in the lobby also waiting on rooms. When we got off the elevator the hall way was dirty and looked as if not vacuumed in several days. Room 318 - the shower was dirty good think we travel with our own cleaning supplies. The toilet was not bolted to the floor. It completely lifted up and almost tipped over. Day 2 - there was trash left out side of rooms in the hall ways. Would not recommend.

It was fine for a work trip. 15-20 minute drive from MUSC and downtown Charleston but for a reduced price compared to the cost in town, to me, it was worth it. For some reason I was placed in a handicapped accessible and hard of hearing room which was fine, except the people on both sides of me must have NEEDED those rooms. Walls are paper thin and I could hear their TV, phone conversations and grunts at a ball game they were watching. If you’re not hard of hearing, may want to steer clear of those rooms.

Bed was horrible! Worst sleep ever Mattress was extremely hard. Checked out early due to unable to sleep comfortably. Hotel beds are usually one of the best amenities offered. I am very disappointed and displeased with my stay due to lack of sleep. I am a Marriot Bonvay Honors member but don’t think I will be using them in the future

Got a booking last minute on travel. Head stayed at other Fairfield hotels and had a good experience, that's what made me pick this one. Quinn at the front desk was absolutely amazing, great service, very knowledgeable. Room was big and comfortable, hot shower, soft bed, everything look clean and in order. I'll be starting here on future business trips.

The hotel was very hum drum and a very seasoned property. When i mean "seasoned", I mean very old school property. The room layout was nice but it seemed very dark relative to the newer hotels. The paneling and carpeting could use a refresh. Overal very clean, very safe, and the breakfast was good. The overall stay was good because the people that worked there were friendly and accomodating. I would stay at this hotel again if I was in this area and needed somepace close to the airport.

The clerk did not know that I was staying at the hotel and told me to go check the other North Charleston locations but the kind of person I am I was not going anywhere when the incompetent clerk finally finds my name screams hang up I found it yes you are here and did not even apologize for the error!!!! Poor customer service due to a incompetent female clerk. 5/3/24 5:30 pm.

For a Marriott property I was very impressed. There seemed to never be anyone up front to answer questions, so there was a wait. I was unable to get extra towels and washcloths. I was given two towels, one was for the gym with the blue line and the other was a blue towel all together, not a hotel issue. I really don't see myself visiting this location again. Probably a lack of staffing I would guess.

our room was not ready when we tried to check in at 1:30 so we came back at 4:30 and was told that the room was still not ready but after 15 mins or so the clerk found a clean room. The hotel was not very clean and a little beat up, more of a motel 6 quality than Fairfield inn

Great staff, service, and room. I had no issues. The front desk clerks and staff member for breakfast were great, courteous and helpful in meeting me and my family's request. Not far from Summerville, downtown Charleston and places to shop. I would recommend this hotel.

My room in this Fairfield Inn had rotting wall from shower issues & falling tile. The area felt VERY questionable for safety. Shame on Marriott!!! So sorry I didn’t take photos. The building seemed like it had been an old cut-rate motel that had been window-dressed to be presented as a Marriott facility. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Great staff, service, and room. I had no issues. The front desk clerks and staff member for breakfast were great, courteous and helpful in meeting me and my family's request. Not far from Summerville, downtown Charleston and places to shop. I would recommend this hotel.

First room had non-functioning deadbolt lock and broken shower. 2nd room they switched me to. Was there for 5 days. Breakfast area was not maintained very well. If they ran out of items, they weren't replenished and some morning just didn't put things out - cereal boxes, yogurt, muffins.. hot food. Breakfast was supposed to be for 3 hours but 1/2 hour before closing they just quit maintaining and bringing food out, especially the cold items?? I can understand this happening once but not morning after morning. After the first complaint we just didn't complain any more.

Likes: Hotel was nice; breakfast was awesome (the usual hotel fare, plus egg and Swiss cheese sandwiches in English Muffins, bacon, sausage, and hard boiled eggs); was offered my choice of floors. Dislikes: unfortunately, the floor we selected was the ground floor, about one room away from the cleaning room supplies and apparently the hang out room for the staff. Had to put ear plugs in at 5:55 am. Ice machines didn’t work on the 1st and 2nd floors, and on the 3rd floor I had to scoop out the ice as it wouldn’t dispense.

VERY DISAPPOINTED BY CONDITIION OF ROOMS... TOILET DID NOT FLUSH--JAMMED--CLERK BROUGHT US A PLUNGER AND LEFT??????? SHOWER PRESSURE POOR...DUST ON SHELVES IN BATHROOM AND IN ROOM....2 TOWELS...WHEN WENT TO DESK FOR TOWELS NONE AVAILABLE AND NO HAND TOWELS EITHER. BREAKFAST LADY WAS RUDE AND NO SILVERWARE OUT FOR BREAKFAST AND IT WAS AFTER 8 AM...CLEARLY MANAGEMENT IS NOT DOING VERY WELL. ASKED HOUSEKEEPER FOR COFFEE AND STUFF FOR ROOM AND SHE DUMPED IN ROOM....NO BED MAKING OR TRASH REMOVAL...CONSEQUENTLY NO TIP....WILL GO ELSEWHERE NEXT TIME.
